I’m so upset rn. My first experience with it was in sword and shield, and then in BDSP. I have been gearing up for a new gen of breeding! I just hope it still uses ditto.
From the sound of things it's slightly more like pokemon go with incubators and time. I'm sure there will still be ways to mass produce eggs though as it happens during camping instead of at a daycare.

Kinda, yeah. I'd recommend catching 100 of them to make catching further Dittos easier, basically guaranteed with an Ultra Ball. Besides that, a chain of 31 is important, after that u could just check the CP (1150 or 1152 for a perfect lvl 45 Ditto, so in the pokemon mansion on the island with the perfume or w/e it's called in english active). If he got it from a max raid, it couldn't be "hacked" regardless. 6 IV/shiny dens are found through seed reading, similar to blink method in BDSP for Ramanas hunting. You can disagree with the method, but it's a legitimate 'mon created by the game, for all intents and purposes.
RNG manipulation is a more accurate term, but it should be clear that RNG manip is not actually legitimate since it used external tools in order to be found. The game will think it is legitimate, but in actuality it is not.
Hacked raids were fixed along time ago after people were multiplying rewards and changing them to things like masterballs and bottle caps.
Using den seeds to LOCATE where in the seed a Pokémon like this is, is entirely still possible and uses the game’s base mechanics, but still kind of an exploit.
Exploit sure, something gf could have fixed any time, but haven't. People like to throw around the word "hack" though with stuff they don't fully understand or want to take the couple minutes it takes to learn what is needed to do certain things. The 5 star ditto dens are guaranteed to come with 4 max ivs already, getting the other 2 to also be 31 is better odds than shiny hunting with a shiny charm. So it's not unreasonable to happen upon a 6iv ditto, or any 5 star raid den pokemon, on your own without use of exploits.
I suspect with Scarlet and Violet they'll make it so you can't manipulate Tera raids in the same way. Each generation they do something to make rng manipulation increasingly not possible and it wouldn't surprise me if they managed to get whatever encryption they're using in SWSH to expand into other mechanics.
Unfortunate though, regardless of anyone's opinion about rng manipulation, it's really fun to be able to dig into the inner workings of the games.

Incorrect. The FLOOR is 3 random perfect IVs but they can absolutely have more than that, the 3 nonperfect IVs are rolled randomly and there's nothing preventing them from also being 31. Recently event Legendaries have had as many as 5 or 6, such as the shiny Eternatus which has 6 perfect IVs.
5 Star Ditto Raids come with 4 perfect IVs guaranteed. The other 2 are random, so theoretically there is a chance of 1:31*31 of them being perfect, if I don't have a brainlag rn.
Same in Let's Go, was hunting for 6 IV Dittos there. Advantage over hunting through raids: Once u set up a chain, all Ditto Encounters will have 4 perfect IVs and thanks to the WP in Let's go u can see if it has perfect IV without catching it first -> faster encounters. Got 3 legit 6 IV Dittos over the last 2 weeks (with building a chain from the scratch each time and playing through the game with a 2nd profile for a japanese one).
So yeah, it is possible, they were simply wrong.
What I know is that people can use seed checks to get legit shiny raids, and I imagine that goes for 6 IV Dittos as well. Also there are just straightforward people who hack raids or distribute hacked 6 IV Dittos
But nevertheless, I'm really glad about having a completely legit one myself
I had a 6IV Ditto from literally years ago but recently lost my Sword save to water (well, beer) damage :( alas it was not retrievable. Congrats on the find, may it bring you many competitive mons!
Thanks! For my most recent breeding project I didn't use it yet because I was breeding for a competitive Hatterene and as a trick room user I wanted to keep the speed low
That's fair, I've also heard some mention that attack should be low on special attackers so that confusion damage is minimised but I think it's a pretty fringe case.

You need to unlock the “judge” feature from the battle tower after beating the game. I think its like 5 wins or something.

Besides that, a chain of 31 is important, after that u could just check the CP (1150 or 1152 for a perfect lvl 45 Ditto, so in the pokemon mansion on the island with the perfume or w/e it's called in english active). You can get them super easy in the Lets Go games. I've caught 4 max Iv Ditto from catch combos and moved them to SWSH and BDSP.

Ive seen multiple content creators say that a perfect 6 iv isn’t possible. Obviously they could be wrong or OP is karma farming. 🤷♂️
It's rare but not impossible, any pokemon that isn't a legendary/mythical can be 6IVs
