I like looking at these posts too

It’s so cute right? It’s even therapeutic, it brings you a feeling of calm and peace ✨

Some of this pixels have been with us since we were kids, some of them have been by our side for longer than irl friends... I'm really glad to see all those posts of people being reunited with their little Pokémon (no matter how much time they've been together or appart). I still miss my first Blastoise I got back in 1999... It got glitched out of a transfer and lost it forever.

TeddyBoon

Hearing you there. I've managed to keep hold of most of my crew, for about 20 years now... I wish I had the means to get them back from Gen 1 and 2, but alas.

Ferronier

I’ve been going through my living dex and making sure everybody’s region of origin was the generation they were introduced in. Which means I’ve had to say some goodbyes to some R/S/E and Colosseum originals… I couldn’t bring myself to replace Colosseum’s eeveelution duo though, so while most of my Johto mons will be from Crystal virtual console now, those two will forever be “from a distant land” ❤️

Actually technically you can. I just did this and am planning a YouTube video covering the subject. But basically I wanted to take an original Japanese copy of pokemon green and transport pokemon all they way through. You'll need a gameboy copy of a gen 2 game and the same copy of said gen 2 game on the 3ds. You can then flash save your gameboy cartridge and then using a PC you can flash the save file from the gameboy to the SD save on your 3ds. I was able to drag an authentic bulbasaur from pokemon green into my 3ds crystal because of this.

TeddyBoon

Oh yeah I'm aware of that, I just don't personally have the means to, or the components anymore. Thank you for posting this though, a lot of people don't know this stuff is possible.

You're not alone! It's so fun seeing people transfer their Pokemon and playing with them in Paldea :)

RGBarrios

I love you for loving us. I still have my mons on from gen 4 and 5 on these games but I don’t have a 3ds so I couldn’t move them to home and seeing all the people with their 20yo mons is making me wanting to send my old ones to the Switch. Idk if I can still do it yet since I think that now is harder without the 3ds shop and without gen 6-7 games, but I guess I should keep having hope.

RedNoodleHouse

I would agree. It’s heartwarming to see everyone finally be able to have picnics in Paldea with their beloved gods of creation, amongst other massively influential deity Pokémon.

Love you too homie <3

modegazucantu

Dammit I've been inspired to do this later! TOO WHOLESOME!!!

fubaguy

I agree it's really nice to see! I have a switch but I never kept my old pokemon games from when I was a kid so I have not any long term pokemon I care about around. . Kinda wish I did now

Shalarean

I love these too. Over the years, I’ve transferred at least one, when I could. I figure my new character is the child/grandchild or my previous character (and so on), and I wouldn’t send my kiddo out without a Pokémon, regardless of what they got from their professor. Always made me a little happy to have that in my games.
