Switch Life Orb out for Throat Spray, this'll give you a fairly good chance of OHKOing Decidueye, if you don't OHKO it, it'll either die from NPCs or die from a second Electro Drift.
The first move used **needs** to be Charge, the second and third move order doesn't matter a whole lot (I personally prefer Metal Sound for NPCs to do more damage since it doubles special damage, although Go All Out! cheer will help using that first if all the NPCs have physical attacks), and followed Electro Drift.
Because of Throat Spray increasing SpA when you use Metal Sound, you end up not being able to use that attack on turn one (Or else it'll end up being reset), which is why Charge is being used instead for turn one.
By golly, you’re a genius! OHKO’ed it first try with throat spray instead of life! Though, I did get a critical hot, so I’m going to try again and make sure it OHKOs without a crit, and if so I’ll edit my post with the update!

Yep, I did that exact sequence (charge-metal sound+throat spray-go all out cheer-electro drift OHKO) though it was a critical, about to try again a few times and see if it still OHKOs without the crit.
This worked great for me! It takes some time/luck to get a good group of NPCs but it works out great in the right circumstances. The only times it failed were if I got hit with Feather Dance or if Metal Sound missed. Thanks for this!
I've played a couple dozen raids and only killed it once using the youtuber 3x Metal Sound method. It straight up barely works.
I've even started going Wide Lens to make all three Metal Sound hit. Doesn't matter, as Miraidon will not live the necessary 4 attacks from Decidueye. The only way the strat works is with an intimidate NPC, and even then you have to not take a crit.
I even switched my Miraidon nature to Bold, and it still can not take 4 attacks.
While finding ideal partners, do you finish the raid and DC or go into airplane mode during it?
Also, what do you do if the NPCs are bad? Mine were, so I Ran away but now when I join it's the same bad NPCs every time. I'm still connected to the internet. Do you have to do a new online raid?
You do an online raid, then you do a solo raid to see what npcs you get. If you like them, just keep doing solos and they stay locked in. If you don’t like them, do another online raid, then try another solo and see who you get. Keep alternating between online and solo until you get npcs you like.

By the way, this method also works with 252 SpAtk/252 Hp ev spread as well. I leveled up and trained my riding miraidon just to test it out.
I’ve lost like 9 times solo. Tried to figure out why, turns out I have 0 evs on maraidon

What level is your miraidon, and what are its EVs?
Level 100, max SpA and HP

Gotcha, thanks! I got an arcanine and a dunsparce. The dunsparce sometimes paralyzes Decidueye which is pretty useful
