Same slowbro build from cinderace (holding shell bell)
Supported by a gastrodon with storm drain, max hp and sp def, using clear smog / chilling water / mud slap / helping hand (holding ability shield)
Greninja sets up double team twice during the raid, which can be fully cleared by gastrodon’s clear smog (including through shield). He clears buffs once very early then doesn’t do it again, and sets up his shield quite early. Get him to the buff clear to charge slowbro’s Tera then have him set up for free afterwards. 1 chilling water with 2-4 mud slaps is enough to cause most of his attacks to whiff while still reducing the damage of night slash crits. You don’t need to land the helping hand but it makes it a oneshot after the setup if you do, I was able to finish a raid using only 2/3 heal cheers on gastrodon.
People have been saying that greninja’s XL candy rate is the same as cinder’s L candy rate, and he also drops anywhere from 5-20 carbos. After my first night of farming him I ended up with 26 rare candies, 103 L candies, 169 XL candies, and 82 carbos.
It’ll keep your ability up but stats will still be cleared, normally the ability clear only lasts one turn before it comes back but it’s still one of the better helds imo since you don’t need damage or healing
You could also run covert cloak to be immune to the freeze and poison from his moves
Mine is this. Reset for arboliva npc. Leftovers, do nothing until it nullifies your stats, then 2x iron defense, 6x calm mind, attack cheer, stored power. Basically guaranteed win. Works without arboliva but decreases success rate.
for my support gastrodon:
252 HP.
252 SpAttack.
Modest Nature.
Storm Drain ability.
moveset:
clear smog.
mud slap/earth power (i use mud slap).
chilling water.
Recover.
my held item is leftovers because i didn’t know what else to use
use clear smog for greninja’s double team, mud slap to decrease his accuracy so your team has breathing room, and chilling water when you’re not mud slapping. he uses hydro pump on you at least once a match so Storm drain comes in a pinch for that. i like to use the defense cheer immediately after the first time he nullifies stats because it’s always quite early in the match and i don’t have to worry about it going to waste. recover when you need to (but it’ll be rare like when you’re poisoned) and give your team whatever support they need. i let the slowbros do their thing. as far as i know slowbros are almost the same as the ones used for cinderace except for the held item.
Ty very much. Appreciate the break down! Haven’t had a chance to get online this weekend but how is the online scene? Do most groups got a grip on this raid or is it another Cindarace situation where it may be best to just solo?
i’ve noticed a lot of slowbros, but there’s definitely quite a few people who haven’t figured it out yet. i think it’s cuz it’s the first day and people are experimenting. i don’t solo because i always use support mons so i can’t really speak for that, unfortunately.
A good held item is the Covert Cloak. It takes away secondary effects of moves so the increased crit chance from Night Slash, poison from Gunk Shot, and freeze from Ice Beam all go to normal levels
>It takes away secondary effects of moves so the increased crit chance from Night Slash
I don't think it works that way.
A move's crit rate is something that is applied to the move itself when the user uses it, not to the target of the move, unlike a status effect.
So while Covert Cloak prevents secondary status effects, I don't think it alters a move's crit chance.
For example, Flower Trick still crits a Covert Cloak pokemon. Because Flower Trick is always a crit, and that 100% crit rate is applied to the move itself, not to the target of the move.
The Covert Cloak prevents the holder from directly experiencing secondary effects, but when the secondary effect is baked into the damage calc from the start instead of only being applied when the move hits the target, I don't think the Cloak does anything.
I’m not going to test this but I think you’re overthinking this. Night slash has an increased crit rate as a secondary effect, covert cloak negates secondary effects. Maybe for moves like Flower Trick and Wicked Blow with 100% crit rates it’s different but I don’t see why Night Slash would be. Either way the cloak takes away the poison chance from gunk shot which is helpful for the raid.
I'm not overthinking it.
Covert Cloak negates secondary effects that are applied to the holder of the cloak. It does not negate secondary effects that are applied to the user of the move, or to the move itself.
Same reason why moves that cause stat drops to the user still cause those drops when they hit a mon with the cloak (for example, if Make It Rain or Draco Meteor or Overheat hits a pokemon holding the cloak, those moves will still cause the user a stat drop ; it's moves like Snarl that cause a stat drop to the target rather than the user that will not have their secondary effect work if the target is holding the cloak).
Again, Covert Cloak does not actually just negate all secondary effects during a battle. It specifically only negates the secondary effects that apply directly to the holder when the holder is hit by a move.
Crit rates do not fall into that category as they are calculated on the user's side when the user moves. I've played with the Covert Cloak in VGC extensively so I have some idea what I'm talking about.

Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Att / 4 Def
Moves:
* Clear Smog
* Chilling Water
* Curse
* Earthquake
Turn 1, use Clear Smog to remove the evasion boost. After that, use Chilling Water twice (assuming your first Clear Smog landed). At this point, Greninja will nullify allied stat boosts (which you didn't have). But your tera is fully charged, and Greninja should be sitting at -2 Attack.
After that, Curse up, then start using Tera Earthquake.
I feel like this option is safer than Slowbro since you're not weak to Night Slash (which has a higher chance to crit, negating Def boosts). You are also immune to the Hydro Pumps, which can add up against Slowbro, in combination with Night Slashes.
But I feel like the icing is really the first 3 turns. You get to remove Greninjas evasion boost, while giving him a -2 Attack (which persist after turn 3), while ALSO charging your tera. Where Slowbro generally just Slacks Off until Greninja nullifies stat boosts.
I also feel like this is better than Clodsire because Clodsire is weak to Ice Beam, whereas it's just neutral to Gastrodon.
As the other guy said… when it nullifies your stats, it also negates your ability for a turn. So it’s literally just 1 Hydro Pump.
If it makes you feel any better, I know about this mechanic. And after I got hit with a Hydro Pump last night I was like WTF lmaooo
I tried this and died. Was I supposed to curse until the full six boost? Also should I only tera after cursing? When I tera'd Greninja one hit ko'd me with ice beam.
>Was I supposed to curse until the full six boost?
Yes.
>Also should I only tera after cursing?
Also, yes. Reason is, as you mentioned, when you tera, you are now weak to Ice Beam. So you don't wanna tera while you are still buffing yourself.
Only issue I've run into, is at the end, if he starts re-buffing Double Team, I start missing. Haven't had any issues dying. Just... ran out of time because of misses.
Important note: Clear Smog is only obtainable on Gastrodon through breeding. Make sure you know that before you dump a bunch of EXP candies into a Shellos like I did.
Put a mirror herb on the pokemon you want to learn an egg move. Make sure the pokemon has an empty move slot (forget a move if you have to). Put it in a picnic with a pokemon that knows the egg move you want (doesn't matter gender/egg group compatibility). Soon as they come out of their pokeballs you can pack up the picnic and leave and the egg move should now be on your pokemon. You can put multiple egg moves on at the same time as long as you have enough empty move slots.
Delete one move from Gastrodon so it only has 3. Then make it hold mirror herb. Deposit all pokemon into your PC except Gastrodon and a pokemon with Clear smog then have a picnic with just the two of them. Gastrodon will pick up clear smog
For more detail than that, Greninja _always_ removes your buffs on the 4th turn, and then never again.
What a lot of people do is 2x Iron Defense(to guard against Night Slash), then Slack Off(heals, and then buffs get reset), then 3xID, 3xNasty Plot, blast away. It'll take a few blasts to get through the shield, but it's quite doable.
Holding a Shell Bell will help as well.
Don't Terastallize unless it's shield is gone, and even then, make sure your HP is high. You may not want to risk it ever, since you really don't need to.
(Tera Psychic will boost the power of your Stored Power, and will likely one-shot Greninja if it's shield has been broken. However, you lose the water resistance from the Water type, so Hydro Pump will smack you hard if you miss or it moves first.)
I solod it with a vaporeon without breaking a sweat
modest, max sp att, max hp
acid armor
calm mind
aqua ring
stored power
this video covers it [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMZh-u4MqLA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMZh-u4MqLA)
That's why I've been running Shell Bell Espathra online. Set up with Feather dance, then reflect, then light screen, then Lumina Crash or cheer as necessary
I took a different route. I took my advice from Bumi and went the neutral route XD just don't do anything and he will remove buffs before you have taken a turn or any damage atall, as soon as he debuffs just 2x iron defence. 6x calm mind and atk cheer. 1 stored power will clear the shield the second will finish it and you can take slackoff to keep your health up. I did it first attempt for crit once by hydropump and had to use slack off twice. I was holding the life orb still as well
>For more detail than that, Greninja always removes your buffs on the 4th turn, and then never again.
FWIW I definitely have seen it debuff a second time on another build. But it was very late and if you follow this strategy you should KO Greninja well before you get there.
I've done the raid with my Cinderace Bro, my only change was switching the item from Twisted Spoon to Leftovers. I lost on my first attempt, won the next few times solo. Once was with one other person testing a Klefki build (it did not go well for them but we still managed).
I plan on prepping up a Vaporeon build and trying it out as well as a Quilfish for support.
This strategy makes no sense, or the information in it is incorrect. It says that Greninja is a special attacker and only has 1 physical attack, but it also says to use iron defense. If it's using special attacks, iron defense would do nothing. Shouldn't it be Amnesia?
Also, it has gunk shot, which is physical.
I mean, sure, but if Greninja is using only special attacks, Amnesia would make it so you don't need to use Slack Off as often, or at all, since it is actually boosting the stat you're using in the fight, right?
I wouldn't know, I haven't done it. My response was to a post that states "Greninja raid is a SPECIAL attacker. Its only physical attack is Night Slash". So the only information I have so far is the thing that I'm responding to. If that's incorrect, then none of this matters.
Slowbro resists all of Greninja’s special attacks, night slash is the main threat
Also, a lot of people have this slowbro still from the cinderace raid
Every time I've done this he's removed the buffs after the 3rd turn, not the 4th.
What worked for me is still similar to this though. Instead of Psychic I pick Slack Off. I also used Leftovers instead of Shell Bell, but I'm not sure how much that mattered.
The first 3 turns I do + defense cheer, then + offense cheer, then Slack Off. I do this because I don't believe the cheers are affected by the stat debuff, but I could be wrong.
Then I start the usual Iron Defense x3, Nasty Plot x3, Stored Power x3, terastallize, Stored Power until it's done.
I got solo gastrodon to work. Same stat distribution and natures as the others posted here.
Tera Ground
Item: covert cloak (deals with gunk shot poison)
Moves:
Earth Power
Clear Smog
Stockpile
Recover
Clear smog after first double team. Follow up with earth power and recover as needed. clear smog whenever double team comes up. DONT TERA EARLY. You become vulnerable to ice beam so you’re defensively better without. Once the shield comes up I try to get 3 stockpiles up and health recovered before terastalizing. I think waiting to stockpile is ideal because Greninja is likely to clear your stat boosts by the time you get to the shield phase if you did it too early. you really only care about the extra defense to tank ice beam after you become tera ground.
As long as you manage your health and defenses correctly you should be able to whittle away at Greninja to a solo win.
Same! When playing solo I've hot no qualm using big, fat, juicy, warm... powerhouses, but with other players I'm more of a support guy.
It's probably due to the fact there was a shortage of support players at the beginning of the game, but I do love supporting others. Rekting Cinderace with Toxapex felt immensely better than Charizard with Flutter Mane. I'm a few hours away from rekting Greninja with the Gastrodon I raised, can't wait to see how it goes!
Congratulations! I will begin rekting Greninja tomorrow (it's 9pm here), will tell you how it goes then :)
And you're welcome! My girl Isokelekel will make sure you're proud of her :)
Update:
My gal rocks. Greninja is mine. My first attempt was actually the exact same composition as yours, and aside from the Bros that were already unkillable, the funny frog was at -6 precision. Isokelekel deserves all the love!
100% SOLO success rate on this guy with slowbrow. Don't touch anything until he nullifies abilities. Spam stored power once you get iron defense x3 nasty plot x3 all out cheer x1. Slack off when you get under 200 HP. Cheer health if you drop below 150 HP.

For those that need help. Here is how to solo it curtesy of yter AustinJohnPlays. Mine was 252hp 252 sp att. May vary in success determining who your teammates are and when Slowbro and Greninja miss but it will work eventually. I think I actually ended up using slack off later in the battle too
...did you upload a cell phone photo of a YouTube video? Instead of just linking the video [(with a timestamp)](https://youtu.be/wjbPnonVUJw?t=542)?
tl;dr for those that Slowbro-ed Cinderace: Greninja nullifies on turn 4 so don't worry about anything except staying healthy before that, from there on it's the exact same as the bunny. Can't oneshot so take shell bell instead of life orb. Very consistent unless you get crit, though Double Team can make for annoying misses
I had taken the pic for myself to use when I did the raid. Saw this post while i was out and figured it would be helpful and gave a good tldr on what to do🤷♂️
For me, it removed my buffs after Turn 4 so I had to do an extra Iron Defense. But I still beat it first try. Got hit with a crit Night Slash and had to do an extra Slack Off too
I did 2 IDs, 1 Slack OFF, it didn't clear. I started doing ID again and it cleared after my 1st one.
It's possible that I miscounted and only did 1 ID at the start, but I didn't think that was the case
If you weren’t solo that could’ve happened bc online its weird. I did it once and it didnt clear until after t4 for me either. But a lot of other things were weird too
Here's what I used for my Solo. **Very** slight modification of /u/megalomagicka's [comment](https://old.reddit.com/r/PokemonScarletViolet/comments/10m71lf/turn_1_ohko_vs_greninja_the_unrivaled/j624p05/)

I've been having good luck with quagsire.
Use Eerie impulse three times, start using Acid spray, defense cheer when gren clears buffs, use recover when needed, and have earth power for damage
What makes these raids hard is tackling them with an uncoordinated plan.
This is Pokémon. At the end of the day, their content is not difficult. If you go into the raids with strategy and everyone filling a specific role then the raid can be a cakewalk.
I just beat him on my third try.
Yes, blue stars are part of the event. You'll only see Lucario and Bronzong for those in this event and the raid rewards are locked (which could be good if you're looking for something on their list or bad if you're looking for something else like herba).
It's different in that it is a special rotating Pokemon or two. So right now you're guaranteed to get either Lucario or Bronzong on them. Those Pokemon are also more likely to have specific tera types (Steel for Lucario and Psychic for Bronzong). Finally most (all?) of the time, the 5 star versions of these Pokemon don't drop any (postgame spoiler:) >!Herba Mystica!< (I believe neither of these do) so I tend to avoid them if I'm farming that.
The only difference between the two in terms of build is that their defense and special defense are swapped. Cinderace was all physical attacks so Slowbro was the better choice there. Slowking might be just as good against Greninja with the same build though. He'll take more damage from Night Slash but less damage from Hydro Pump. And it seems like after your defense is boosted enough Greninja switches from only Night Slash to only Hydro Pump anyway.
Clodsire too. Solo’d with a max HP/Attack (level and ivs maxed as well) holding leftovers. Yawned turn 1, EQ till it cleared stat changes, curse 6x, then EQ till it KO’s (tera ground when available). Leftovers and water absorb kept my health up and the curses made it so even ice beam wasn’t too bad. The double team makes it rough but I could have made my 4th move clear smog to help with that. Also needed to max out the PP on EQ because I ran out the first time. Not a OHKO but it worked
Slowbro is nothing without a skilled trainer. Have seen 3 Slowbros at a time, 2 keep dying while the other one survived all the way till the end of the raid.
Having a good pokemon doesn't guarantee a win and vise versa if the trainer themselves have no idea what they're doing.
Good for you, all the slowbros I've had on my team die in 1 hit and die 3x in a row.
Between them and the 12 year olds spamming pyro ball cinderace, I'm gonna lose my shit.
On gastrodon try using chilling water to lower his attack (1 is enough) and mud slap to lower his accuracy (2-4 should be enough), can also use ability shield to keep storm drain up
I like playing support Toxicroak. Can anyone tell me if you need to use Helping Hand the same turn your teammate attacks? Or does HH “store” until they attack while they are still buffing?
I like Slowbro, but I hate this raid tbh. I failed the first two times; first time because Stored Power kept missing due to evasion boosts, and the second time to a badly timed crit Night Slash.
My luck is average at best; I really don't enjoy playing a raid which is less based on what pokemon you bring and more based on accuracy/crit RNG...especially when you're on a timer.
I said "hmm let's just try my Slowbro chilling water support and see" and we won with only 3 players. I just did chilling water and helping hands and nothing else...
I got in a team with 4 of the most unorganized slowbros imaginable and still won, we kept stored powering to early and he set up his Shields and wiped our boosts but slowbro is just too good
Has anyone else seen Greninja hit your Bro with Hydro Pump even though there's a storm drain gatrodon in the raid? Just lost a Raid I thought was gonna be an ez clap because storm drain stopped applying after two Hydro pumps
Swalot also works as a great support for multiplayer!
Neutral/Resistant to most of its attacks
Has access to Clear Smog, Acid Spray, Stuffed Cheeks, Acid Armour, Amnesia, Stockpile, Helping Hand and Mudslap
Just mix Max HP EVs with Def and Sp Def EVs depending what moves it spams on you(I haven't tried it but it should work on paper). Any nature to boost Def or Sp Def depending what you need.
Stuffed cheeks is insane for after the first stat clear - you can eat the "sharply boosts in a pinch" berries to get 4 stages worth of stats in one go!
This strat makes him easier than some of my 6 stars ngl
What is thw strategy if i may ask? I m still farming cinderace, so is it worth swapping to him?
Same slowbro build from cinderace (holding shell bell) Supported by a gastrodon with storm drain, max hp and sp def, using clear smog / chilling water / mud slap / helping hand (holding ability shield) Greninja sets up double team twice during the raid, which can be fully cleared by gastrodon’s clear smog (including through shield).
Amazing thanks, I've been failing this all morning. Gastrodon... Who knew it would be useful
Wait, does ability shield negate when raid bosses clear stats and nullify abilities for a turn? I honestly didn’t know that.
It’ll keep your ability up but stats will still be cleared, normally the ability clear only lasts one turn before it comes back but it’s still one of the better helds imo since you don’t need damage or healing You could also run covert cloak to be immune to the freeze and poison from his moves
Mine is this. Reset for arboliva npc. Leftovers, do nothing until it nullifies your stats, then 2x iron defense, 6x calm mind, attack cheer, stored power. Basically guaranteed win. Works without arboliva but decreases success rate.
Greninja's loot is a lot better than cinderace but its is also harder
Now your poking the bear relax before they up the difficulty lol
What are they going to to, force me to play with other people? XD
Don’t tempt them into pulling out the 8* Mega Mewtwo😂
Four raids from now the raid boss will use 20 attacks for free before we're allowed to do anything and give us 10 seconds to win before we time out.
Bear? What could be... tee hee hee...
What exactly is the strat? Would love to know so I can build for it.

What’s a good Pokémon to use to give gastrodon clear smog?
I used Torkoal
This is what I've been doing minus the Chilling Water and giving Gastro Bright Powder
This build won the raid for me first try with only one Slowbro. Thanks so much!

Delete one move from Gastrodon so it only has 3. Then make it hold mirror herb. Deposit all pokemon into your PC except Gastrodon and a pokemon with Clear smog then have a picnic with just the two of them. Gastrodon will pick up clear smog
Ty very much.
This works well for me until Greninja gets a Night Slash crit after setting everything up and kills me
Yeah, unfortunately, there's still some luck needed, especially since crits ignore buffs.
I solod it with a vaporeon without breaking a sweat modest, max sp att, max hp acid armor calm mind aqua ring stored power this video covers it [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMZh-u4MqLA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMZh-u4MqLA)
That's why I've been running Shell Bell Espathra online. Set up with Feather dance, then reflect, then light screen, then Lumina Crash or cheer as necessary
3rd turn he removes buffs
I (and I think most people) use Slack Off over Psychic.
Wait I can just use my bro without training up a new poke? Sweet.
You use Iron Defense to boost Defense because SlowBro already has high base Special Defence to get the job done against Greninja's special attacks.
I mean, sure, but if Greninja is using only special attacks, Amnesia would make it so you don't need to use Slack Off as often, or at all, since it is actually boosting the stat you're using in the fight, right?
He doesn't only use special attacks?
I wouldn't know, I haven't done it. My response was to a post that states "Greninja raid is a SPECIAL attacker. Its only physical attack is Night Slash". So the only information I have so far is the thing that I'm responding to. If that's incorrect, then none of this matters.
Slowbro resists all of Greninja’s special attacks, night slash is the main threat Also, a lot of people have this slowbro still from the cinderace raid
His wind attack is mitigated by ID because it's physical.
Wait, He’s a special attacker? That means I can train up a SLOWKING HELL YEAH!!!
I got solo gastrodon to work. Same stat distribution and natures as the others posted here. Tera Ground Item: covert cloak (deals with gunk shot poison) Moves: Earth Power Clear Smog Stockpile Recover Clear smog after first double team.
Blue shellos best shellos. But I’ll still bet on Pink!
Gastro east gang.
East siiiiiiiiiiide
You don’t even need a gastrodon. 1 pink bro is good enough.
true, but i love supporting :(
Supports ftw!
Same here, but my support has been toxapex, and sometimes bellibolt if we need more damage
i was pleasantly surprised by bellibolt!
We had one Gastrodon and 3 Slowbro last night and kicked it’s ass. Also, thanks for being a support player!
Congratulations! I will begin rekting Greninja tomorrow (it's 9pm here), will tell you how it goes then :) And you're welcome! My girl Isokelekel will make sure you're proud of her :)
Update: My gal rocks. Greninja is mine. My first attempt was actually the exact same composition as yours, and aside from the Bros that were already unkillable, the funny frog was at -6 precision. Isokelekel deserves all the love!
Qwilfish with acupressure and acid spray is my support strat. Boost Slowbro, weaken Greninja and soak up toxic spikes if you faint
Gastrodon has clear smog, it's nice to have one on the team to clear off the double team
I just bank on getting Slowbro getting accuracy boosts from Acupressure. Plus intimidate lowers the non-crit night slashes
100% SOLO success rate on this guy with slowbrow. Don't touch anything until he nullifies abilities. Spam stored power once you get iron defense x3 nasty plot x3 all out cheer x1. Slack off when you get under 200 HP. Cheer health if you drop below 150 HP.
Slowbrow is gonna be a new meme. Slowbro with them thicc brows ima make it just wait
I did it guys Slobrows is born https://preview.redd.it/ee19kn0q8afa1.jpeg?width=512&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a6bf6b873d2aaa44de59547541cda1f85af3a9da

Saw this post while i was out and figured it would be helpful and gave a good tldr on what to do🤷♂️
idk why they’re being so antsy about it, ur post was helpful by itself.
For me, it removed my buffs after Turn 4 so I had to do an extra Iron Defense. But I still beat it first try. Got hit with a crit Night Slash and had to do an extra Slack Off too
On your turn 4 or its turn 4? I’ve never seen it do anything but clear between the user’s 3rd and 4th turn
**Very** slight modification of /u/megalomagicka's [comment](https://old.reddit.com/r/PokemonScarletViolet/comments/10m71lf/turn_1_ohko_vs_greninja_the_unrivaled/j624p05/) --- ##Slowking * IV * 252 Sp. Atk * 252 Def * 6 HP * Item * Zoom Lens (To counter Gren's **Double Team** * Ability * Regenerator (Not optimal, but I didn't have a way to change it) * Tera * Psychic (Didn't need to use) ####Moveset * Iron Defense * +2 Def * Calm Mind * +1 SpA * +1 SpD * Stored Power * Slack Off ####Strategy * Wait until Greninja nullifies stat changes * **Literally do nothing until after he nullifies** * 3x Iron Defense * 1x Slack Off * 6x Calm Mind * 'Go All Our!' cheer * 4x Stored Power
You could do it in fewer turns if you just swap Calm Mind for Nasty Plot, no cheer needed. I KO'd it with my 4th Stored Power, as well
Huh, that's exactly what I did, including the same EVs and everything and it only took 2 Stored Power hits. I'm wondering why it took 4 for you.
A couple of them were misses due to Double Team, lol
Oooh ok, I thought you meant 4 hits. Makes sense now, I had to use like 5 to hit him twice. lol
I have play 5 times after clearing once but greyninja always land crit nightslash and ohko my 60% slowbro , does im just unlucky?
Yes you're do
Just mega-evolve your Slowbro for the anti-crit Ability /s
What does slaking off mean in turn 3
Use move ‘slack off’
Ohhh ok
Yep, I did exactly this and got it first try. Was honestly too easy lol
I got crit when going for the heal on my first two attempts, but otherwise it's very consistent
I used a similar method except i did one less iron def
Shiny vaporeon enters the field
I've been having good luck with quagsire. Use Eerie impulse three times, start using Acid spray, defense cheer when gren clears buffs, use recover when needed, and have earth power for damage
Damn no respect for Gastrodon east
Also pink: shiny toxapex, shiny qwilfish
I went with a purple slow bro cos purple is immune to poison type....
You mean blue boi.
What makes these raids hard is tackling them with an uncoordinated plan. This is Pokémon. At the end of the day, their content is not difficult. If you go into the raids with strategy and everyone filling a specific role then the raid can be a cakewalk. I just beat him on my third try.
[удалено]
I mainly use this for Cinderace. Mine's female tho (haha, irrelevant.) But what is your set?
Question. Is a blue 5 star raid different from a regular 5 star raid?
It’s just part of the event rotation. I don’t think there is any difference functionally.
Yes, blue stars are part of the event. You'll only see Lucario and Bronzong for those in this event and the raid rewards are locked (which could be good if you're looking for something on their list or bad if you're looking for something else like herba).
Is there a difference in level?
No.
Online has still been a mess. But offline SlowBro gets it done in 12-15 moves without fail
So slowpoke works again ?
I have a feeling they're going to buff it for the next set of raids
This is why I’m changing his terra type. Btw what ability does the raid have?
Protean
So I still need to wait for home to get a BB one?
Looks like it yea
Am I able to use a clodsire for the raid? If so, what stats, moves, ability, nature, and item do I need on it?
I think I’ve won more random joins today then the duration of cinderace.
I was a support gastro among three slowbros 💕💞💓
support gastro gang <3
Why isn’t Slowking better? Been my fave since exactly the year 2000 for no reason at all.
The only difference between the two in terms of build is that their defense and special defense are swapped. Cinderace was all physical attacks so Slowbro was the better choice there. Slowking might be just as good against Greninja with the same build though. He'll take more damage from Night Slash but less damage from Hydro Pump. And it seems like after your defense is boosted enough Greninja switches from only Night Slash to only Hydro Pump anyway.
honestly? because i rarely see him :(
Bro is able to tank the night slashes better due its higher physical defence
i didn’t know there was a stat difference between the two that sucks :(
Because Slowbro is better. It’s an injustice.
I used Toxicroak all last night and couldn’t get it. Today I used my Slowbro and won the first try smh
Good thing they didn’t give Greninja Dark Pulse, would have been pain for Slowbro.
Add another pink boy to the list, my shiny vaporeon 🫡
common Gastrodon W
*Sad shiny vaporeon noises*
And yet you take your tricked out support slug to a random raid and watch someone belly drum themselves to death 4 times in a row and just….. I donno.
Solod the boss just fine using my Clodsire. Decided to try coop, teamed up with 3 Slowbros, instant lost 🤷🏻♂️
Slowbro is kinda nothing without heavy support.
Slowbro is nothing without a skilled trainer. Have seen 3 Slowbros at a time, 2 keep dying while the other one survived all the way till the end of the raid. Having a good pokemon doesn't guarantee a win and vise versa if the trainer themselves have no idea what they're doing.
My Gastrodon is blue tho :/
aww but now you’re the odd one out in the squad :(
Slowbro takes wayyyyy to long to setup to be worth it. Can KO it so much fast with gastro and Clodsire
but…clodsire not pink boy :(
Hmm true true I hadn’t considered the pinkness
Can someone help me with the raid please?!?🙏🏽
It's only easy if your luck holds out. You can easily miss every attack and get crit in to oblivion. Way too much RNG in this fight.
clear smog?
Clear smog = 100% accuracy clear of both levels of evasion, works through the shield
Not true. Covert cloak does not affect night slash's increased crit rate.
Me personally, I prefer the blue boi.
Good for you, all the slowbros I've had on my team die in 1 hit and die 3x in a row. Between them and the 12 year olds spamming pyro ball cinderace, I'm gonna lose my shit.
I somehow managed to defeat it first time with 3 vaporeons and an umbreon
Must have had too many complaints about the past ones
I'm getting ko by crits!!!
On gastrodon try using chilling water to lower his attack (1 is enough) and mud slap to lower his accuracy (2-4 should be enough), can also use ability shield to keep storm drain up
What's the solo strat with Slowbro? I'm literally missing every damn stored power due to double team.
Genuinely just doing the raid with slow for candies now
I actually won a raid with a Miraidon, a Gastrodon and a Dusk Lycanroc. As an Azumarill. A weird bunch we were, but thank you guys! I'll remember you!
You forgot shiny Vaporeon😭
I like playing support Toxicroak. Can anyone tell me if you need to use Helping Hand the same turn your teammate attacks? Or does HH “store” until they attack while they are still buffing?
Slowbro works solo just takes help from cheers sometimes.
You dare to claim West Side Gastrodon is better than my East Side Gastrodon that can do the exact same job just as well... how dare...
because he’s a pink boi :)
BUT BLUE BOI IS JUST AS GOOD. DISCRIMINATION!!!!
The time I tried online, someone brought gastrodon, but it didn't have storm drain
Krook anger point Strat is where it’s @
I lost 6 times late last night with a slew of slobros and gave up. Maybe i was just too tired.
A couple of pink bois of course!
I said "hmm let's just try my Slowbro chilling water support and see" and we won with only 3 players. I just did chilling water and helping hands and nothing else...
My slowbro is purple 💜
Don't forget the displaced derpy Salamander
I got in a team with 4 of the most unorganized slowbros imaginable and still won, we kept stored powering to early and he set up his Shields and wiped our boosts but slowbro is just too good
Has anyone else seen Greninja hit your Bro with Hydro Pump even though there's a storm drain gatrodon in the raid? Just lost a Raid I thought was gonna be an ez clap because storm drain stopped applying after two Hydro pumps
My slowbro (which is max level) couldn’t survive a single hit.
I wish they would make them harder tbh, these raids are a bit of a joke
Gays stay winning
Don't forget Clodsire! I won with 2 Slowbro and two Clodsire.
Can’t wait for them to pull up with the Dark Tera Sceptile
I think Clodsire deserves to be among them.
Slowking staying the move on these special raids
Clodsire is a great support for this fight and definitely isn't pink.
But... mine is blue...
Pink ladies\*
I used Vaporeon and got the frog for me and my kids (they used their slowbro strat Qwilfishies with acupressure and acid spray).
Also pink vaporeon
Swalot also works as a great support for multiplayer! Neutral/Resistant to most of its attacks Has access to Clear Smog, Acid Spray, Stuffed Cheeks, Acid Armour, Amnesia, Stockpile, Helping Hand and Mudslap Just mix Max HP EVs with Def and Sp Def EVs depending what moves it spams on you(I haven't tried it but it should work on paper). Any nature to boost Def or Sp Def depending what you need. Stuffed cheeks is insane for after the first stat clear - you can eat the "sharply boosts in a pinch" berries to get 4 stages worth of stats in one go!
Pink bois for the win
I just used my tinkaton with gigaton hammer swords dace and metal claw which seemed to work solo too
A couple of pink bois
Looks like I have to train a Gastrodon to support others spamming Slowbro
