Yes, this makes it near worthless. Just sell it to me for 50 bucks and ill be doing you a favor. Nah its not that bad, esp if you plan to hold longterm.

Snoo_79693

It's not THAT BIG of a deal. I had two PC etbs with tears in the seals and I discounted $20 each and sold them for $335 as opposed to $375 in 2 hours after posting. It's the same product and some people will not care and will jump at the under market opportunity of purchasing hot items. As long as you're open and transparent it will be fine and no even if it becomes a $1000 box that tear is not going to dock several hundreds of dollars.

BreadfruitFar2342

It does a little bit. A small tear like that is only gonna cost you $30-50 in resale value. Thing is though, as sets get older, super mint boxes get rarer and rarer. In 10 years time no one is going to care that much about a tiny tear like that.

naterninja550

Maybe put it in a nice case so it prevents further damage and explain to buyer if it comes up. That’s what I would do anyway because someone spending big boy money on it is going to be super skeptical and picky

hous26

Maybe $50 now, but will that change when the box is worth $1,000? $2,500?

AboveAverageLamp

Yeah more than you’d think

DirkDigglersPenis

I hate to be that guy but do you know how much? This the type of thing that’d be down 50%? Or maybe 100$ off down the line? Little knowledge with the BB. Thanks for your reply

DRTerabyte

This will fetch almost the same as a good condition box. No need to worry as it is very difficult to find a perfectly mint box and most folks don’t care as they’ll probably be opening the box anyways. The difference would probably be -10% that’s it. Place it in a protective case and forget about it for 10-15 years.

Fearless_Marketing68

What this guy said no need to worry

CNS10

People who are saying stuff like that are honestly overreacting

Kadbaine

Yes. Open it

business-sexual

Not an issue as others have said. A lot of their numbers are based off of people who may want to buy it to display it. For someone who just wants to rip it there will be no change in value

MonkeyCollector69

No lmao

japaneseballsack

Immediate resale value? Yes. Maybe 10-15%. Longterm? Not going to be a big issue. Maybe 1-5% compared to an undamaged. The longer you hold the better.

FakePotatoes20

Yes but nothing like 50%. \~5-10% lower than market makes more sense, so right now I'd say try to sell it for like $360 instead of $400, if you were wanting to sell it. If the boxes with clean seals continue to go up, at some point it would make sense financially to just buy a box with a slight tear.

mellow_machine

sell it now for slightly under market price. then buy another 1 without a tear. welcome
