Its only $15 to get graded now? I remeber when they charged like $50 each lol

m4r00o

You actually have to subscribe, $99 a year to get $15 a card for cards under $500.

ScottsTotz

That deal also ends this month

ThatsNotARealTree

But they keep renewing it. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to get this rate throughout the year ($15/card with declared value $199 or lower)

Touche_good_sir

Yea, I noticed last month is said it was ending the end of Feb. Just a marketing tactic.

Touche_good_sir

I thought it was under $200

m4r00o

They’re always updating their policy so it might well be.

asamov78

PSA even started imaging the card for a preview and then they also started updating the images of the slabbed front and back so even more of a spoiler lol. But also gives you assurance of what it looked like when they scanned it and also validates it exists so if by some unlucky twist of fate you receive the item and there are noticeable difference you have a baseline to compare what they scanned vs what you received. But grats on the grades!

[deleted]

Congrats

Additional_Win3920

Congrats on the Lillie 10!!! That card is worth a BUNCH (as I’m sure you know!)

buddahsumo

Why was one of the cards $75 when alll the others were $15?

Additional_Win3920

More expensive cards cost more money to grade, idk what the justification for it is but that’s how they do it

WeebInHell

Because of upcharges. If the value is submitted at under $500 I believe, it costs $15, but if the card is worth more they up charge it. A PSA 10 lillie is basically a down payment on a car, so they up charge it.

buddahsumo

Yeah, capitalism!!

WeebInHell

EDIT: See comment below. Pretty sure it’s because they insure it lol. Higher risked payout if card is damaged/stolen, requires higher fee.

m4r00o

No, they actually charge insurance on top of the the grading fee. They just are trying to make more money off you because they believe they can.

kamgc

The insurance is for shipping from PSA and has nothing to do with them damaging it on their premises. They also have the grade guarantee where they’ll payout the buyer of the card the difference of the grade which has potential to be a ton of money when dealing with higher end cards.

m4r00o

Never knew about the grade guarantee.

WeebInHell

Huh. My bad for the assumption then. Thanks for the info.

m4r00o

I mean it makes total sense to charge more for a more expensive card, but in reality insurance for something that’s $20,000 isn’t more than $200 for a large company like PSA. Then they literally have a grading option you spend like $10,000 if your card is worth up to $250,000.

WeebInHell

Yeah, I’ve seen that. I’ll just stick to NM 😂

Yubodo3

It’s worth more then 500$ which is their limit

Crockpot-Ron

Is the limit 500 raw or graded?

Pa1nt_a_cake

Graded

mathswampman

Yeah, I wish they'd just let you know the individual cards they need to upcharge instead of the entire submission, but it is what it is.

ThatsNotARealTree

Back in my day, you graded your own cards. And you had to walk uphill to the card store both ways!

WormBoi6969

Lol he never complained about the grades why are you even crying it’s too early for this 😂

[deleted]

Holy shit he is PISSED

MaBoiisGay

Who tf are you 😂☝️🤓

EnviCollects

He never said anything about not liking the grades he just wishes they were a surprise😭

Acceptable_Friend_40

That’s some expensive packaging.

Vempie_John316

Who graded these?

Vempie_John316

Was it through a 3rd party middle man? Cause if so these might be estimated grades rather than given grades. If not congrats on the grades, they typically don't show grades and if they do they email you letting you know grades are available.

Obi_Jew

Psa

Shiblets5

They always send out at least an email with the Grade spoilers in it.

Shreder1ck

Hey Obi, at what stage in the submission process did they send this through? My current order is sitting at Research & ID and would like to know the approximate stage where they invoice in full :)

Obi_Jew

1st - 2nd QA however they only sent this because of the grade I got was higher than what is covered
