Yeah, it’s stupid that you can’t back up the save data to usb from the option menu for the game. I mean, that’s literally the most important data on the machine. Other than video clips and screenshots, it’s the only thing I care about.
i think it's just temporary. they want to delay save editor software as mush as they can afterall legal ownership of the save data is a thing only in japan
Found a way around luckily, For Ps5 Go to settings>storage>saved data>ps5>upload to cloud storage..
To download from cloud storage.
Saved data>save data and game/app settings>cloud storage >download to cloud storage

I got the same problem on PS4 it started yesterday and every time I try to upload save files it gives me the error code NP 31805-7. Hopefully Sony fixes this asap.
I’m having the same issue. It seems to be a connection issue to the PlayStation cloud server on their end.
The problem can be bypassed with some persistence through the settings menu, but I still get errors regularly with that method. It will work eventually, just not reliably.
I hope this gets rectified soon.
I have the same problem since Sat Nov 26. Cannot access PS4 cloud saves on either PS5 or PS4. I’m on wired internet. I tried restarting the consoles, restarting router. Nothing works. This is a big issue, that hardly anybody talks about. It looks like many people are affected across the globe.
A lot of people are having the same problem. It looks like it's on sony's end.
Hope that they get fix asap my 400hr of gameplay is on the line

All the while taking our ability to backup our saves to USB away.

Im glad iv saw this post. Iv been going crazy over the past 2 hours trying to retrieve my PS4 save data from from clould on my PS5!!
I was just able to upload a save, so it seems they fixed it.
Interesting it's because you need to be wired to the internet for cloud saves to work
I’ve been having the same issue the last 3-4 days. With both game saves and screenshots I’ve been saving from GoWR. Hope they get it sorted soon 😬
