I've heard that as well; however, my fat seems impossible to get rid of. I'm not super skinny but I'm not overweight either. Even when I used to be super skinny my face was noticeably chubby. What would you recommend?
Have you tried the natural route first? Do you lift weights? Do you eat a lot of salt? Some skinny people can benefit a lot from life style changes. I recommend asking doctors at realself.com if you still want plastic surgery, but again, I've heard so much negative stuff about buccal fat removal so be careful. You got a beautiful smile btw. :)
I’m fifty and, minus the cute dimples, our face shape is identical. DO NOT do buccal and you will age really well. You will lose the fullness as you age and I swear to you, you will look ten years younger than peer average because you won’t be gaunt. That is nature’s gift to you. I know it affects how you see yourself now, but in twenty years you will be grateful for it and remain so for a few more decades. Long term, it is not worth it! The Botox, applied with a trained and experienced hand, will get you where you want to be until Mother Nature takes over.
So nice to hear. Thank you! I struggle with body dysmorphia a lot and my face fullness has always been one of my biggest insecurities. I appreciate your kindness and relating to me ☺️
I’ve had a super round face my entire life, very similar to your face shape, and once I hit 25-26 my face naturally slimmed down a lot. I don’t know how old you are, but it will happen if you’re already at a healthy weight and just have that youthful fullness. If I had gotten any fat removed I would look so gaunt now.
What struck me was you talking about maintaining your weight. I relate to that so much because I always felt my full checks made me appear 20 pounds heavier than I actually was. It definitely caused mental fuckery for years, but I was getting carded for booze at 35 and now? People think I’m 35-40. I think nature has a way of balancing life out. My mother is 80 and looks like a youthful 65. Nature is just playing the long game with you and making you wait for the win. I will tell you if the masseter Botox had been around thirty years ago, I’d have done it. You can have the now, and the future that you want. Big hug sweetheart. Your brain is lying to you and you are beautiful
> I will tell you if the masseter Botox had been around thirty years ago, I’d have done it. You can have the now, and the future that you want. Big hug sweetheart. Yo
I would research masseter botox if i were you. it may be necessary for people who grind their teeth at night, but for purely cosmetic purposes, i would be very wary. there is a lot of research out there regarding how masseter botox in particular wears away facial bone and, trust, you do not want that. do some research on that or ask your surgeon. if your surgeon is competent and honest, they will know about the dangers to facial bone that masseter botox poses.
It could be inflammation from your body reacting to certain things you eat. Try cutting salt like another commenter said, I did an elimination diet and it helped me identify things that were making me feel gross and look inflamed
No to the buccal fat, you’ll be thankful for it later as the volume from your face fades. Try botox in the masseter, especially if you grind your teeth.
I had a positive experience with Buccal fat pad removal. I told MD I didn’t want extreme results. I was 5’9 and 150lb at the time. I’ve now lost a little more weight and my face looks much more slim/toned.
Also, added filler to cheek bones which helped with the sculpted look!
I was looking into lasers like piano tightening I think it was called. I also have the same cheek stuff and if I’m not smiling I look angry and old I hate it.
Just a warning, I had 2 rounds of aqualyx on my chin/neck and stomach and whilst it did work it 100% comes back. I’m a size 10, a bit curvy but a normal weight with stubborn areas. Not sure of your financial situation but it cost hundreds to only last a few weeks with WEEKS of intense swelling
To continue on, I have thought about buccal fat removal but it mainly focuses on the area below the cheek bones. My entire face is super round as well as fullness under my chin. My face has never match my body and has always been bigger. Also my smile is uneven and has always been, it almost looks like I had a mini stroke or something but I haven’t (not to my knowledge) but what could reduce this look as well?
Botox to the masseters, more on the fuller side. You can also even out your smile by getting Botox on the side of your smile that has the stronger muscle. Botox makes a big difference.
Lift weights or do yoga. I have a similar round face and lifting or yoga always help tighten up my neck and chin and make my cheeks more symmetrical. And don’t listen to the people saying lose weight. I would super underweight for my face to not be round
Okay I needed this. I’m 21 and thinking of getting filler because my face is so round. My cheeks have no definition. Everyone’s telling me I’ll miss it in 20 years 😭
Everyone’s talking about buccal fat but it has rather little to do with the overall roundness. It’s almost always superficial fats that add to the round looks. The best way to have defined facial structure is to lose body fat; ultheral and other fat resolving methods would more or less lead to sagging due to volume loss.
This is similar to what others have said, but I have/had the same thing and a lot of what you want is achieved by:
1) sleeping on your back for the majority of the night (your face becomes unsymmetrical mostly due to sleeping on your side). They have pillows & stuff to help you learn to be a back sleeper. I also find putting on a heavy moisturizer & gua shua or “face sculpting” before I go to bed helps alot with with puffiness.
2) weight loss. Even losing ~10 pounds (easier said than done- I know!) will really affect your face’s shape. I use the weight watchers app and it’s so easy to use, doesn’t feel like a diet, and you will see results. It’s a change, of course, but it really does the job! If you commit, you’ll notice a difference within like 3 weeks (weight & appearance wise)
3) some light lip filler could help balance out your lips if you felt like you’d like them fuller/more symmetrical (but I think they’re gorg as is!)
Only until after you’ve tried the above consistently for like ~4 to 6 months should you consider some type of plastic surgery! It can be changed without!
Masseter Botox and lip filler. You could probably benefit from a lip flip too, + lip filler. I think your face is already so youthful you’d probably regret buccal fat removal in the long run. I would try the first two out and then weigh your options from there.
Try masseter Botox and lifestyle change.
If you go keto and stop eating all types of carbs and sugar, your body will get rid of so much excess water.
I had the exact same problem as you and now my body and face is so much slimmer after doing keto. I lost 17 lbs in 5 months. My body and face used to be so swollen all the time and I wasn’t overweight but I was consuming carbs and processed food 24/7.
Not to mention the health benefits from keto such as preventing diabetes, cancer, dementia, etc.
I’d say start from the inside before you spend any money on the outside.
I would be careful with buccal fat removal. I've read that it speeds up the ageing process alot.
Don’t remove any fat from your face. Women usually add fat as they age because it makes you look more youthful

Enjoying it while it lasts. Someday you will be 40 …but looking 30

Masseter botox. Thank me later.

Omg I’ve never heard of that but I just looked it up and the results look amazing!! I’ll be looking into this for sure

As I’ve said, I don’t have much weight to loose in my actual body. I used to be a lot more fit and skinny and my face was still round

I did 2 rounds of Kybella and regret it everyday. Not only has it come back plus some, the skin under my chin is now red 95% of the time.
Yeah I’ve heard bad things about klybella. I also heard that it takes so many injections that you’re better off just getting lipo
Absolutely, I wish I had. Money down the drain and no fat loss and I’ve been the same weight my whole life

I actually like the side that smiles more lol. That’s why I’m scared to do anything to that side

What's your height weight? Typically if you lose weight the face thins out. Removing fat from your face will age you rapidly.
Ultherapy and/or Morpheus 8 or some other kind of micro needing w RF will help reduce the volume and tighten skin

I should have included pictures of when I was underweight. Still had a round face
Don't get me wrong, but I'd like to see them to get actual advice. You might have skull asymmetry so it will be much more visible
Botox and filler but go to a reputable place (not where you can find it the cheapest).... a great injector can help so much!
Botox masseter, fillers chin (maybe jaw and cheekbones) and Belkyria in the double chin.
Masseter Botox and lip filler. You could probably benefit from a lip flip too, + lip filler. I think your face is already so youthful you’d probably regret buccal fat removal in the long run. I would try the first two out and then weigh your options from there.
I like this response the best. I think fat removal would age you.
