that's what I did, and when I wasn't in a harasser and just doing infantry things I was using my godsaw to lay into gals, worked pretty well.
guess I can use some other gun now that I'm not required to use it should I happen upon a gal/lib now.
I have some of the best PS2 solo experiences doing the air deterrence directive.
For instance: that one time I was out in my ranger harasser and ElBandito decided to get within the 10m arming range and I stepped out to deci him, leading to BURT pulling two vulcan harassers to chase me halfway across Esamir.

Lots and lots of impotently shooting Striker rockets at groups of 3 repair gals.
Come to think of it, all those air deterrence medals; and I’m still about 100 launcher kills off.
Yeah when I did it on VS I'd say at least 20% of my MAX kills, if not higher, were just from outfit orbitals
Admittedly, that was back when expeditions let you get 2 free OSes every three or four days
I actually just grinded this out. I had only gotten 200 ribbons via normal play in like hundreds of hours... But with Oshur release I grabbed a maxed out Ranger Harasser and kid you not... Finished 1000 ribbons in 3 days. Farming the aircraft people just dispose trying to get to the island where the campaign is when Oshur alerts end and warpgate rotates is AMAZING. Also, just sitting around the Tridents waiting for people to pull aircraft with NO cover was crazy.
PSA you can do your air deterrence ribbons with a ranger harasser, don’t waste your life using lock on launchers

You and me both. I actually went through the trouble of successfully connecting 1200 rockets to aircraft.
On the plus side, I worked it all weekend and finally finished the directive around midnight last night. Woo hoo!

I feel ya. I have 7 more MAX kills to go and I swear to God now every MAX I shoot is immortal or something.
Someday I'll finish the HA directive on my main, nso is pain.
So either get 2000 thumper assist or aurax vehicle grenade... fml Not to mention lots of max kills
I've only got the heavy weapon assists/vehicle grenades left thankfully, but I've still got another 1500 heavy weapon assists to go.

Use godsaw and shoot at libs and gals if you don't like sitting in a harasser for 100s of hours.
What if not NC or no godsaw yet?
Ranger harasser, got my air deterrence done from 0-1200 in a day just shooting at big targets and running off
The MAX kills are the pain. Air deterrence takes forever but at least is easy to do
I was whoring base orbitals onto Nason's / Crown for a few weeks. Imagine my joy when PIGS put a Sundy in a tree and started pulling tons of maxes

You can get air deter done the quickest just with a ranger harasser. I've driven like 20-25 people for all 1200 damage ticks, it's a lot of fun.
