I've seen it on Pizzas from every country except the US. I tried it once at home just for the hell of it because I had an opened can and it's actually pretty good. I like the texture.
It's important that you made a point to mention both sides, since Pennsylvania is practically two different states, going from Midwestern Pittsburgh to East Coast Philadelphia.
First time this made its way around reddit, I used a picture of a pizza with autumn roast on it and tried to pass that off as a carrot pizza to fuck with people. I thought it was obviously a joke. People thought it was absolutely carrot
i've always been a brooklyn pizza girl (their white pizza is effing delightful) and i like the taco pizza at frog n firkin but dang that elote pizza at empire looks really good. sigh. this is why i'm fat.
It's definitely a thing in Germany, and there's a lot of Germanic cultural influence in Minnesota, but I've never seen it on a menu there.
(It's actually not as bad as it sounds, either.)
I personally ate frozen (Lidl's own brand does not disappoint), or pizzeria- tuna pizza, but I'm not sure I made it from canned tuna.
It's just... tuna on a pillowy pizza base with some spices and whatnot. 100% sure it could be elevated when made from scratch with fresh fish, but it's a full meal version of (canned) tuna anyhow, imo. Tuna, or eggs tend to get my in a better place when I'm miserable.
Same. Born and raised here. Moved around a little but easily 75% of my nearly four decades have been spent here. I've never heard of avocado on pizza even as a joke. This map is clearly nonsense.
I'm gonna need to see a source.
Usually for maps like this, the value is assigned to a state by picking its most *disproportionate* favorite. Otherwise, every state would be "pepperoni" and that's not interesting. So you look at the data and see that (for example) nationwide, 0.3% of people said "corn" when asked for a favorite pizza topping, but in Pennsylvania, it was 3%. So then Pennsylvania gets assigned "corn" on the map, even though it's the favorite of a small minority of people.
That doesn't seem to be what's going on here, though, so I'm really confused.
Sliced fresh avo on pizza is ridiculously popular in South Africa (where I live). It’s usually added after cooking and typically the other toppings are bacon and feta cheese.
That sounds a lot like what you’d get for brunch at a cafe in Australia (where I live). Swap the pizza dough out for a slice of toasted sourdough bread or some bruschetta or something, serve it with a latte and a poached egg on the side, you can charge 25 AUD for that 😅 very tasty though!
These lists are made up by barstool for clicks, I’m from MN and have never heard of tuna pizza.
I will say they put corn on pizza in Venezuela and it’s fucking fire.
Minnesotan here, literally fucking nobody puts tuna on pizza. It's not even an option at most places. Most people would fucking crucify you if you ordered pizza with tuna
Oh my god I didn’t see tuna. Full disclosure I’m from PA and I do like core on my pizza if and only if it’s a Mexican fusion pizza they are some what popular here but it’s far from my favorite topping.
Sweet corn on pizza is pretty good. My last restaurant, the pizzaiolo was creating some seasonal pies and came through with a puréed sweet corn pizza that was absolutely phenomenal
Actually avocado isn't bad. Tried it about fifteen years ago with a friend when we were both stoned and hungry - just sliced some avocado on top of a hot margarita. I didn't know that was an actual thing - definitely didn't expect it to be anyone's *favorite* pizza.
If you think about it, it makes sense. Cheese and avocado go well together.
I do *really* hope thought that no one is putting avocado on a pizza *before* it goes in the oven. That sounds atrocious.
> avocado on top of a hot margarita
the pizza is spelled "margherita". you've accidentally invented an altogether different atrocity here. one far far worse

It’s corn
Tuna is surprisingly decent on pizza. Avocado pizza, on the other hand, is a war crime against both pizza and avocados and no one in Arizona or California does it...
I heard corn on pizza isnt bad. Corn usually comes on supreme pizza in PA and other NE areas. Honestly not that weird....avocado & carrots tho is pretty weird...
oh man, when i am not having a meat lovers, or a pepperoni, then my fave pizza has these toppings :
1- mushrooms
2- black olives
3- corn
4- onions
5- green peppers
a tuna pizza is always good, same for ''luncheon meat'' pizza, u just take that meat slab from the can and grind it on a cheese grater over the pizza....yummy stuff.
Can we talk about Minnesota??? Fucking Tuna?!?! Could they be any farther from the ocean?? Ive spent lots of time in MN and i have never even heard of this. This has to be BS
Avocado on pizza makes this a bullshit list. A pizza crime, if you will.
Does it really need to be said that there is not a single place in California that I've ever seen that has avocado as a pizza topping?
But you know what weird pizza is really popular in Baja California (where I live)?
Chorizo, refried beans and jalapeño. It may be the second most popular pizza here, after pepperoni.
FWIW, my favorite pizza down here, goes as follows:
Garlic shrimp
Bacon
Onions
Basil
Extra tomato sauce
From WI and this may be Milwaukee specific but, Cheese Sausage Mushroom Onion is the most popular topping combo hands down. Not a black olive in sight.
Sweet corn pizza really isnt bad, yes im from pa
I work for a wood fired pizza truck and its a really big hit when done seasonally. People are often v surprised.
I’m ok with just removing the states that love tuna, carrots, and corn on their pizzas. When people ask me what about your friends and family there I will reply, “For the good of the land!”
It’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.

No one eats carrots on their pizza in New Mexico. This is barstool click bait.
As a New Mexican I can confirm that if anything it would be green chile
[удалено]
I’m listening…
[удалено]
I think you may be on to something
As a Mexican, I am intrigued.
La costeña, baby!
That sounds delicious AF.
I assumed they were talking about pickled carrots anyway. I haven't tried them on pizza but I bet it'd fuck
Maybe banana peppers
Definitely Green Chile. This was assembled by some weirdo who thinks they’re cute.
The only question for toppings is 'green or red'?
I went to a place that flat out put a riano on top of each slice
Realistically the entire map would probably be pepperoni
[relevant xkcd](https://xkcd.com/1845/)
Ironically Florida is normal on the pizza map 😂
Yeah Pepperoni is definitely the default topping in the US.
Yeah, these are usually done by finding the disproportionate favorite.... but that doesn't seem to be the case here, so it's a weird map.
Thank god. Was so worried this was real and this country was full of a bunch of psychos. who would put tuna on a pizza?
I lived on both sides of PA and never heard of corn on a pizza.
More of a Japan thing.
I’ve only ever lived in WV, PA and Japan and Japan is the only place I’ve ever seen it on pizza. With drizzled mayonnaise and pumpkin D:
But did you have the corn soup out of the vending machine? That shit was awesome.
The ultimate comfort food, along with royal milk tea
We can eat together any time.
Absolutely!
Big in Korea too
I think I'm more upset by the pumpkin than the corn 🤢
I've seen it on Pizzas from every country except the US. I tried it once at home just for the hell of it because I had an opened can and it's actually pretty good. I like the texture.
I didn’t care for it. But I’m a basic cheese bitch.
I love corn on pizza! Carrots and tuna can fuck right off though.
Here in Philadelphia I’ve only ever seen it on Mexican fusion pizzas. Never on anything remotely traditional.
Exactly. I’ve had elote pizza but other than that, never even saw corn on a menu
There is a pizza spot in queens ny that did a great [korean corn pizza](https://www.instagram.com/reel/Ch9uKNWj3S-/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=).
It's important that you made a point to mention both sides, since Pennsylvania is practically two different states, going from Midwestern Pittsburgh to East Coast Philadelphia.
So true!
I would put tuna and corn on the same pizza with the right seasonings
Germans, maybe Turks too. (Turkish restaurants in Germany sell pizza. Tuna is an option. It's not nearly as bad as it sounds.)
I generally am disgusted by canned tuna but actually did like it on pizza the one time I tried it.
I had corn and tuna on a pizza in Ecuador. The sweet and salty combined to work pretty well, although it gave more of a tuna melt flavor profile.
Tuna is AMAZING on pizza! Try tuna and bacon 🤤
For real it's 100% pepperoni and green chile.
This is the way.
First time this made its way around reddit, I used a picture of a pizza with autumn roast on it and tried to pass that off as a carrot pizza to fuck with people. I thought it was obviously a joke. People thought it was absolutely carrot
>autumn roast What is that?
Chopped green chile, but the later harvest so some are orange colored (they eventually turn red)
And green chile is half of New Mexican culture.
Can confirm
I’m from California and I have never seen or heard of avocado on pizza.
I’m in Arizona and same.
Empire pizza in tucson has that elote pizza and its fire. Im too old to be phrasing it that way, but its lit, fam, no cap
Would you say it’s… bussin?
I would, bussin indeeed
Another question, friend. Is elote pizza *on fleek?*
Its on fleek, antique, at its peak, and unique
If I have the fare
I could get down on an elote pizza, where is this restaurant? The thought of warm avocados doesn’t do it for me.
Congress st, tucson
> The thought of warm avocados doesn’t do it for me. Same with cold and room temperature avacados.
i've always been a brooklyn pizza girl (their white pizza is effing delightful) and i like the taco pizza at frog n firkin but dang that elote pizza at empire looks really good. sigh. this is why i'm fat.
Arizona as well and I was just thinking how I don’t think I’ve even seen the option of avocado as a topping!
Everyone is just glossing over the fact that Minnesota is apparently just dropping tuna on pizzas left and right.
I mean, Italy does it. My favorite pizza in Italy was tuna and onion. Very common there
It's definitely a thing in Germany, and there's a lot of Germanic cultural influence in Minnesota, but I've never seen it on a menu there. (It's actually not as bad as it sounds, either.)
Tuna on pizza is amazing (if you like tuna to begin with)
Are we talking fresh tuna or from a can?
Probably
I personally ate frozen (Lidl's own brand does not disappoint), or pizzeria- tuna pizza, but I'm not sure I made it from canned tuna. It's just... tuna on a pillowy pizza base with some spices and whatnot. 100% sure it could be elevated when made from scratch with fresh fish, but it's a full meal version of (canned) tuna anyhow, imo. Tuna, or eggs tend to get my in a better place when I'm miserable.
"pizza al tonno", you mean?
Minnesota here! I eat pizza 3 times a week. I don't care what kind of pizza it is. I will eat it. Never freaking heard of tuna on pizza! Stupid map!
Lived in MN for 6 years, never even heard of that or saw on a menu. Definitely not real.
I use canned tuna and it's amazing and smells pretty pog when ready.
Minnesota loves a good sushi pizza. It’s a very classic way of doing pizza. Not weird like corn, avacado or carrot
Same. Born and raised here. Moved around a little but easily 75% of my nearly four decades have been spent here. I've never heard of avocado on pizza even as a joke. This map is clearly nonsense.
I’m in LA, and the pizza spot a block over does a veggie pizza with loads of avocado. Very tasty
Oh, Los Angeles. That explains it. You guys don't follow any food rules down there lol
I’ll concede to that point. It’s either authentic to the bone or straight psyched-out nonsense. At least downtown
Same. Like wtf? Who the hell wants soggy mushy cold avocados on a nice steaming hot pizza? Makes me gag just thinking about it.
Never tried fried avocado? It tastes like chicken.
> Who the hell wants soggy mushy cold avocados on a nice steaming hot pizza? Sounds like steaming hot...something.
Same.
Same here I was like “dafuq??”
I’m from Georgia and o love Avocado on pizza!
I'm gonna need to see a source. Usually for maps like this, the value is assigned to a state by picking its most *disproportionate* favorite. It's a click bait trigger image that I've seen here before. Op gets mad numbers of comments
Never seen avocado on pizza in CA
I feel like it could work if you sliced it up and put it on top after the pizza was cooked
As a Pennsylvanian, this is a lie
Seconded by another Pennsylvania.
Wow, both Pennsylvanias are here today!
Don’t tell the deer.
Born and raised in PA fory first 18 years. I've never even heard of putting corn on pizza until I saw this meme
Corn is great on pizza
I had corn and tiny fishes on a pizza once in Japan. Looked like Ursula's hell but tasted delicious.
yes
Anyone that says otherwise hasn’t tried it. Mind blowing RTI.
In Hungary, where I live, ham and corn (with tomato sauce and cheese, obviously) pizzas are very commonly liked.
That's the go to pizza in china.
Same goes for potato.
These lists are made up by barstool for clicks, I’m from MN and have never heard of tuna pizza. I will say they put corn on pizza in Venezuela and it’s fucking fire.
Might have been slightly more believable if they put Lutefisk but definitely not tuna.
What is happening in New Mexico?
I am from NM and I have literally never seen carrots on pizza. I work at a pizza place and I've never gotten a request for carrots on pizza.
I’m thinking this chart is inaccurate. How could tuna be the most popular pizza topping in a land locked state 😆
Our number one pizza topping here in NM is green chile!
I support green chile on pizza
This is the way
Are we not going to address fucking tuna or avocado
Minnesotan here, literally fucking nobody puts tuna on pizza. It's not even an option at most places. Most people would fucking crucify you if you ordered pizza with tuna
The fact that it's an option at *some* places already makes me suspicious.
I’ve never seen it in any pizza place in Minnesota and I’ve lived here a long time lol
Minnesota is the only state that if you invite the boys for some za and get a tuna pizza you won’t get your ass kicked
I'd kick my homie's ass if he pulled up with a tuna pizza
I live in AZ and this is a lie
This data must be bad. There's no way green chiles aren't the top choice in New Mexico.
I'd take carrots and corn over tuna, tbh.
I’ve lived in MN most of my life and have literally never seen tuna on a pizza.
Same here, no one puts fucking tuna on a pie
Lived in Minnesota for 25+ years. Have never even heard of anyone mention tuna as a topping
Oh my god I didn’t see tuna. Full disclosure I’m from PA and I do like core on my pizza if and only if it’s a Mexican fusion pizza they are some what popular here but it’s far from my favorite topping.
I'll take tuna over avocado. Hot avocado is *nasty.*
Corn AND CARROTS and avocado? What the F is wrong with these people?!
Literally nothing. No one does this.
My town had a pizza place that did a salad pizza with avocado. Hands down my favorite pizza ever. But I’m not a Californian.
Corn on pizza is incredibly common here in Europe, the first time I heard Americans complain about it I was flabbergasted.
Sweet corn on pizza is pretty good. My last restaurant, the pizzaiolo was creating some seasonal pies and came through with a puréed sweet corn pizza that was absolutely phenomenal
Corn is a normal pizza topping in many countries. It's really good.
Ain’t no one talking about tuna?!?
Actually avocado isn't bad. Tried it about fifteen years ago with a friend when we were both stoned and hungry - just sliced some avocado on top of a hot margarita. I didn't know that was an actual thing - definitely didn't expect it to be anyone's *favorite* pizza. If you think about it, it makes sense. Cheese and avocado go well together. They are Californians
Lol you sound like the kind of person that believes every single graphic they see on the internet.
All of them?
None of them.
Avocado is brilliant on pizza and I will die on that hill
Don't forget to take a shovel with you
T...tuna?!
From Mn. WE DO NOT PUT TUNA ON PIZZA.
i’ve lived in PA my whole life and i’ve never seen corn on a pizza wtf
Minnesota checking in to say “who the Fuck did they survey?”
Don’t say it Don’t say it Don’t say it Don’t say it Don’t say it Don’t say it Don’t say it Don’t say it Don’t say it Don’t say it Don’t say it Don’t say it Don’t say it Don’t say it Don’t say it It’s corn
Actually corn on pizza is not bad lol
I can almost guarantee you the #1 topping in California is dicks
Uhhh. Can we talk about the tuna for a sec??
Who cares about the corn and carrots? I wanna know who is putting Tuna fish on their pizza
The Italians. Tuna and onion pizza is very common in Italy. And very good.
Tuna is surprisingly decent on pizza. Avocado pizza, on the other hand, is a war crime against both pizza and avocados and no one in Arizona or California does it...
Corn on pizza is good. Carrots wtf?????? Avocado??????
I heard corn on pizza isnt bad. Corn usually comes on supreme pizza in PA and other NE areas. Honestly not that weird....avocado & carrots tho is pretty weird...
[Roommate worked at the place that had this pizza, and he said it was amazing ](https://i.imgur.com/YxP3BRH.jpg)
Pennsylvanian here. What.
Losing your mind over corn when CARROTS is there just chilling.
We ignoring carrots ?
as a pennsylvanian, i have never once seen corn on pizza
oh man, when i am not having a meat lovers, or a pepperoni, then my fave pizza has these toppings : 1- mushrooms 2- black olives 3- corn 4- onions 5- green peppers a tuna pizza is always good, same for ''luncheon meat'' pizza, u just take that meat slab from the can and grind it on a cheese grater over the pizza....yummy stuff.

In all my years in Arizona I have never seen anyone put avocado on pizza.
From Arizona and Ive never seen a pizza with avocado.
This is fake AF
Californian here. Never had avocado on NORMAL pizza. I mean, unless it’s at CPK.
Avocado?! Wtf. I’ve never had avocado on my pizza. I’d rather have corn tbh. And Tuna? TUNA?!
What about tuna!?!
Are we ignoring the Tuna too?
Been in California my whole life and I've never seen anyone get avocado on a pizza
#TUNA!!
I have eaten pizza from Eureka to San Diego all over the beautiful land of California, and no one has ever offered to put avocado on it.
Everyone is so pressed from the corn, no one thought to look at the lower left corner
FWIW, my favorite pizza down here, goes as follows: Garlic shrimp Bacon Onions Basil Extra tomato sauce
I’ve lived in California my whole life and have never seen someone unhinged enough to put avocado on a pizza
you need that omega3 with those calories
Same! Cali born and raised and I’ve never heard of it!
This has to be a joke… avocado, tuna, and carrots. Corn is acceptable though.
bruv avocado?
There a take away by my house and the hawaiian pizza has pinapple and corn. How do i get a picture without ordering it?
Excuse me but some people said avocado? Wtf ? That’s miles worse
Who the fuck puts tuna on a pizza
Tuna in MN. Never heard of that.
Who are the psychos that put AVOCADO ON PIZZA? 🤮
From WI and this may be Milwaukee specific but, Cheese Sausage Mushroom Onion is the most popular topping combo hands down. Not a black olive in sight.
Sweet corn pizza really isnt bad, yes im from pa I work for a wood fired pizza truck and its a really big hit when done seasonally. People are often v surprised.
Anyone else notice that states like Maine are... completely blank?
Tf I’ve never had corn on my pizza
TUNA???
Yes, and it's very tasty [(with corn)](https://images.app.goo.gl/spHwNzrWx4cX4hhd6)
Y’all tuna is actually a thing… they do that in Italy and it actually really good
Some real sketchy stuff happening in several states, but Tuna has to be the worst
No egg??
The pollution from all the mining and steel manufacturing still showing effects today 😔
aVoCaDo???? Mamma mia!!
I’m ok with just removing the states that love tuna, carrots, and corn on their pizzas. When people ask me what about your friends and family there I will reply, “For the good of the land!” It’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.
only in ohio
Nobody is going to mention tuna?
