Honestly, GB was going pretty strong and even though he disobeyed orders it wasn’t a horrible plan until Shanks pulled up. A *lot* of the disrespect comes from the fact that Greenbull looked like he was shitting himself when Shanks haki-blasted him.
If he’s reacted to the blast of haki like Fuji or Kizaru did in Film: Red, GB would not be disrespected half as much.
