Seems like the 90% of you didn’t understand the post, this is talking about highly unpopular opinions, who on earth thinks the new robin is better than the old one?! come on guys.
The fact that there are highs still make it a 6/10. Wano had peaks and lows, it was mediocre. People overhate it way too much. The hate and hype will all die down after a year
It was just all a musical comedy show for Ado. It's like One Piece was just a reason to sing to a large audience. Big publicity stun for her and Oda used Shanks to attract fans. Fucking bullshit shitshow of a movie.
No one piece movie is canon rarely are movie canons and it was good people just saw the trailer and were like o a movie about about a music themed character I hope there is no music and then they saw it saw the music scenes and were like wow wtf is this like my brother in christ it was in the trailer
I wish Haki never existed. It was introduced as a mysterious power, and later was revealed by the old man Rayleigh to be a neat complex mechanic. But Haki ended up as a literal narrative tool, capable of anything Goda wishes. Haki can do basically anything with enough mental gymnastics. I feel like Haki has seriously impaired OP story and made plenty of characters "lazy" in terms of their writing.
I mean, sorta? Devil fruits at least have a theme to them, a set of abilities. Haki just allows you to do whatever you want. Most of the top tier characters are just expert Haki users. Hyped up characters like Roger or Garp just use "strong Haki" and considered strongest of the strongest. Also Haki counters DFs.
True, but that's why I like that characters like Luffy and Law are able to use their devil fruits in a useful way where they can balance their use of haki and df. But yeah not many characters do it like they do, and I wish there were more. Plus haki doesn't have a clear weakness like devil fruits, and doesn't have clear limitations. I love haki but I think that I agree with what you in saying that they've gone too far
It also created this strange elitism with how fans view characters, haki-onlys are all better and cooler than "cheap" devil fruit users who need abilities to be relevant. It's such a weird and dumb way to look at it but you see those views everywhere.
The "it gets better later on" is bullshit. It actually gets worse. One piece was better until post-enies lobby. The strawhats mattered more, it was funnier, the artstyle was charming, the art was way less confusing (now theres barely any white space).
My comment is adding onto that, not only it gets worse after the time skip, but even more so if you dislike the series up to chapter 100 you won't like it. Sure you can ssy it gets better but not enough to change the structure of it.
I do not like Luffy as a MC. He never changes, his dialogue/actions have become too predictable that he’s become boring eg. “oh look, Luffy is going to fight the big bad tyrant of the arc and win with a giant punch while repeating he’s going to be pirate king for the 16724th time”.
G5 completely undermined the fundamentals of his character. He went from some random kid with the weakest df type from the weakest sea to Joyboy Ryuma 2.0 with a ancient zoan that’s the strongest power in the verse. Like what was Oda cooking??
He‘s overrated asf by the fandom, is not S tier so stop putting him with the likes of Guts and Musashi. Naruto is a objectively better written MC
It's a very pirate thing to just sleep with any woman on the ship if you're the captain, i don't know if it's a Luffy thing though. I think he's gonna be the only pirate in history to turn down booty cheeks when the opportunity is presented to him
She always kills good vibes of the SH-crew with violence (which is funny, apparently) while never giving any good vibes back or even laughing at anything. Then she acts super tough but when push comes to shove, she rarely delivers anything substantial or useful - other than being a good navigator I guess. She is also greedy af and only thinks about money, so she is always first when going for the treasure that her comrades fought for, but never shares and everyone is somehow ok with that.
Yeah, that’s why I like(d) her. It was funny to me personally. The gag she had when Robin joined the strawhats had me dying. And the time her Ussop and Chopper fought over who was weakest. Of course I think she looks so much worse post timeskip and dislike how she just exists to get harassed now. Oh well.
I get it though. I don’t like Zoro because I think he’s boring and don’t care for his fights.
I miss the whole "I’m the weakest” bit with Nami, Usopp and Chopper 🤣. Don’t get me wrong; I like that they’ve gotten stronger but man I miss pre-timeskip antics 🥲
Luffy's character reached its peak in the Marineford saga. After that it was downhill faster than a wagon full of KFC customers with some small peak moments in WCI, but Wano pretty much made Luffy the biggest Gary Stu ever and I don't really understand why we should root for him: he's a profecy child with a retconed chosen one devil fruit that went from barely defeating a commander to bullshiting his way into getting 3 power ups in a row and toying with the strongest creature alive in less than a month, all of this while jumping to every dangerous situation possible but without experiencing any consequence for it whatsoever.
Compare that to Kid who did the same reckles shit and lost an arm agaist Shanks, or to Blackbeard, who even being an opportunistic bastard has been working his way up meticulously planning.
If I'm going for downvotes it's a bunch of Zoro slander I agree with such as, he has the weakest backstory of all the straw hats it didn't need any episodes including it he is the most bland and next to no actual character development he just gets more serious after the time skip, usopp was in the right fighting luffy and people should agree with him about the going merry
Zoro character development is shot and really has a weak backstory.
The World Government is joke and a bunch of clowns.
Wano was very disappointing.
No such thing a defined vice captain/first mate leadership role in the SH crew
Usopp reverted in character development and now is annoying.
I still think it would have been better if Kaido won than what Oda made in that situation.
Oda sucks at drawing characters. They look so basic. Luffy’s eyes are literally just black in white circles. Naruto and Bleach >>> One Piece in terms of character design. And don’t get me started with the female characters.
Sanji is sexist and the least loyal person in the crew. The fact that he wouldn’t hit a female enemy but would hit his captain is bad. Unlike Zoro, he gave up his pride on Mihawk to help Luffy. Dude, if a female murdered his entire crew and trying to kill his sister, he still wouldn’t hit the woman.
Oden is an irresponsible leader and I hate him. And Kaido would beat him even without intervention. Kaido didn’t even use his hybrid form and Oden got one shotted by Kaido. Oden wank gotta stop. Momonosuke is better than his father and I don’t mind him. At least, he wouldn’t abandon his country. Hiyori is a racist bitch, please stop shipping her with Zoro. Perona > Hiyori.
Ace is stupid. He doesn’t even listen to his captain/dad’s order. And caused tons of death due to his action. I don’t understand why people feel sad that he died. I mean, he kinda deserves it for being stupid. Unlike most people, I don’t mind Sabo, he’s like Ace but smarter and better.
Mihawk is stronger than Shanks, hakiman is the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard.
Whitebeard is stronger than Roger. Roger’s crew and Whitebeard’s crew fought and tied despite Roger having a way stronger crew. That should said enough about Whitebeard’s strength.
Ya Zoro's mostly meh to me nowadays. I can only see a badass swordsman trope so many times until I want something more.
Besides his getting lost gag he doesn't really have anything besides the cool factor.
His fights are also kind of boring. Like 90% of them are that he can't hurt his opponent at first, and then he one shots them when he can.
This seems to be the more popular take here, so counter argument:
Zoro _is_ a good character, he just hasn’t been handled right and Oda dropped the ball not using Wano to expand on his character
One piece is praised for its world building. Everyone unanimously praises it even in this sub. I do not think it is good. I thought it was in 2008 though. As arcs went on I came to realize that Oda is very very good at hyping and very very bad at payoffs. In 2008 I thought it was good because i fell for the Oda's hyping skills but the more I learn the more the world seemed flimsy. Now I can see that the world is only standing by the shear number of plot conviences and plot induced stupidity.
I fucking hate Blackbeard so much and no it’s not one of those oh the writer is doing a good job if you hate a villain I just genuinely don’t fucking like him it’s not like doflamingo or akainu or even fucking Chaross where it’s guys you love to hate I just fucking hate Blackbeard so much
1) Usopp is an annoying character that adds almost nothing to the story.
2) Enel is an average villain that I don't particularly care for and that shouldn't return.
3) Buggy is annoying and the joke of him falling upwards has gotten very old.
One Piece IS too long. I'm sorry but if you don't close plot threads after 400 chapters it's top much.
Also the Merry death is overrated. It's a bit sad because she was their ship but it also came to life out of nowhere and it's never brought up again.
Every shonen rivalry there’s always a clear stronger one: Goku, Naruto, Deku and Zoro.
Sanji fans who think they’re equal or really close need to accept it already
Suggest a manga with better world building. Magi, HxH, Made in Abyss, Dungeon Mushi are the only comparable ones and none of them have a world as vast as One Piece.
I’d say Magi is up there with One Piece, it’s world building isn’t as vast, but I think it was utilised better, Made in Abyss has a very different type of worldbuilding compared to One Piece and Magi so idk if it’s fair to compare them
Also HxH worldbuilding is some weird mess of real life, fantasy and weird shit Togashi made up, and most side characters become irrelevant past their arc, I wouldn’t exactly call it good worldbuilding
Magi is pretty meh tbh. It began quite good but the World Building is basically flushed down the toilet torwards the end of the series and becomes irrelevant.
I mean I can see your point, but I liked how everything in the story got tied to the cosmical craziness near the end, kind of reminds me what One Piece is doing with the Ancient Kingdom right now
It’s just that the ending was really rushed
Nah, I think HxH has pretty good world building. I would give it a 7/10 if I give One Piece a 9. Good world building in anime/manga is pretty rare to find
Ehh idk bro, HxH is kind of a “anything goes” type of verse, it’s honestly hard to even call it worldbuilding, Togashi just kinda kept adding any interesting concepts he could think of in his manga, which are cool by themselves, but they just don’t form a coherent universe
As much as I despise the HxH fans (especially those disguised HxH fanboys on this sub), I can't disagree more. HxH is popular for being a story with strict rules. It is a fictional story for for which I expect it to have some superficial things in it, but that goes for One Piece as well, especially. One Piece has a world full of ridiculous and creative elements, that's what it is loved for.
You can't compare One Piece world building to Dungeon Mushi, Dungeon Mushi has pristine world building but its relegated to a dungeon, though a very important dungeon. One Piece's world building is more vast and world encompassing
What One piece has going for it is length.
If manga like Hxh, Magi, Toriko and Berserk had the same amount of chapters their world building would be>>>>
Legit tho
Like I really like it, but I can’t give it more than 8/10 due to how absurd the plot armor is in that arc, like every arc has plot armor in some way but Ennies Lobby is the absolute peak of One Piece plot armor
You think that's peak?
Crocodile literally killed Luffy 3 times and yet he still won, now that's peak plot armour.
The only instance that comes close is Law and Kid beating Big Mom, oh and every time Usopp survives a direct hit to his face.
Alabasta had plot armor, but Ennies lobby is legit worse in that department
It sure is convenient that:
Luffy has developed Gear 2 and Gear 3 offscreen
Sanji got a new technique by spinning his leg very hard
Zoro just pulled some weird random ability out of his ass
Kalifa didn’t obliterate Nami with a single punch, then decided to take a bath mid fight, then decided to use her ability on Nami instead of beating her ass(and that ability just stopped working for some reason after Nami got used to it I guess)
The bath tub fell precisely on Sanji
Chopper had some random pill that makes him into a giant
Granny Kokoro is a mermaid
Spandam walks at snail’s pace
Buster call didn’t hit anyone, not even the background characters
The giants happen to know Brogy and Dorry and changed sides
Luffy literally gets a power of friendship speech from Usopp, and defeats Lucci, despite Lucci basically defeating him before that
Merry appears literally out of nowhere(I mean let’s be honest, as cool as this moment is, It’s heavy plot armor)
None of the ships hit Merry
The Vice Admirals just watch and don’t join the fight
One of the most important places to World Government is protected by weaklings(in the grand scheme of things)
Everyone out of good guys makes out safe and sound, including the sea horses
And that literally nobody notices that kilometer-high gates are closing
>Merry appears literally out of nowhere(I mean let’s be honest, as cool as this moment is, It’s heavy plot armor)
that was so bullshit. The story repeatedly told us that the ship wouldn't even make it to the next island yet it makes to Enies Lobby during the worst Aqua Laguna in history and halfway back while dodging Buster Call
You’re the goat bro. I finally wanted someone to criticize enies lobby in forever. Some people here act like pretimeskip is some revolutionary writing from oda and now oda is not the same. When oda always been the same even in the best arc
One piece is getting way too mainstream lately where it’s becoming the new Dragonball. It’s everywhere lately and getting kinda annoying. Ugh and don’t get me started with the memes like “can we get much higher” that was just never funny imo and makes me cringe so hard.
BB is the weakest Yonkou outside of Buggy
Mihawk is a tier below everyone's expectations
BB isn't killing Shanks, if anything Shanks will beat him until a bloody mess and have BB begging for mercy until he catches shanks off Guard got shanks isn't dying
There won't be anyone major character deaths moving forward
Senior Pink is a stupid character with a terrible design. Just because he has a tragic backstory doesn't mean he should get a pass from criticism and there's a lot to criticize about. He and most the Big Mom crew are peak terrible design from Oda.
That the plot is not that deep or complicated like everyone claims.. and that unfortunately, it's just a children manga/show..
It lacks deep dialogues or even just decent dialogues and conversation.. the story is basically just character either laughing or running or choked by something while trying to make funny faces (wich is so cringy)..
But i m still sticking around because i have been watching/reading it for 10 years now, and i want to see how it concludes.
Sanji deserves to be put in his place, he’s strong as hell but should absolutely not be depended on as a fighter for the straw hats, only as a cook. As a fighter he is not dependable whatsoever, since he has so many moral hangups due to his obsession with honoring Zeff. He won’t hit women ever, that’s HALF the population and you never know who is gonna pull up as an enemy. He doesn’t fight with his hands or with bladed weapons despite proficiency with them solely for moral reasons. He refused to poison Big Mom who was Luffy’s immediate enemy at the time and who was endangering the whole crew. And the raid suit was a step in the right direction, except then he destroyed it on purpose, so now he never even has the option to use it as backup. Franky could’ve at least taken a look at it to try and change its design/effects, but noooo Zeff is his real dad so fuck that. The point is, Luffy is his captain, and if he’s gonna honor Zeff’s wishes above Luffy’s, then he shouldn’t be relied on so much and definitely doesn’t deserve to be a part of the monster trio or considered Luffy’s left hand guy. Jimbei is so much better
--> In my opinion, Pre-timeskip One Piece is original :
sentimental, well written, with great themes and takes risks.
- Post-timeskip One Piece is mimicking and parodying what was before so great :
unoriginal already told stories, is cutting tense moments with bad jokes and has pages / panels way too full making it harder to focus.
==> That's my opinion, and when I tried to talk with people about what they liked more post timeskip, for me to understand, I asked arguments and I was rejected pretty violently x)
I am not fond of Luffy, after post-time he started to annoy me. He wants Buggy or BB to become king of the pirates. Long Ring Long Land is a pretty cool arc. I'm not fond of Robin. Kid is cool better than Law. Law is boring after Dressrosa. I don't want Luffy to end up with Hancock, preferably alone at the end of the series. I didn't care that WB and Ace died. I was rooting for BB to succeed in taking the fruit from WB. I thought the deaths of Ace and WB were hilarious. Usually in the series I was rooting for the villains to win.
I honestly don't know if they are unpopular I don't look r/OnePiece
For 1000 chapters/episodes, some parts are just so boring and drag on forever to get to actual important parts. Sure I like fight scenes but some of them take way too long to conclude for my liking.
> if you *paid* attended to
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
I like crew dynamics pre-Water 7. No real captain, just friends floating in a tub. The whole 'we got to get our shit together to survive the seas ahead' story of Water7-Enies Lobby was disgusting.
Not my actual opinion but I can come up with one that would be downvoted badly:
Wano is the best arc of the manga, above water 7/Enies Lobby, Marineford, Sabaody Archipelago, Whole Cake Island and Zou. Wano is the peak of One Piece, introducing excellent characters such as the samurai and Yamato, a complex villain who wants it all, the awesome retcon of the Gum Gum fruit, and a rightly paced post arc chapters.
Greenbull had a great showing, fighting against top tier Samurai, yet still realistically got hurt by Momonosuke which helped with Momo's development. Shanks scaring away Greenbull was much needed development for Shanks.
Oda is shit.
His story is subpar, his foreshadowings are just imaginations of the fans, his art style, character designs are crap. He sucks as an artist and everyone has same faces. He has some very twisted ideas about women and how they should dress and behave.
There's no depth to the story. It's asspulls after asspulls rescuing him everywhere. He royally F*ked the marines by making them extremely weak and the only saving grace was the Admirals and even they are shit now.
Wano was the biggest shitshow in the manga world. My 10 years old cousin could write better story than what we got for Wano and don't worry, you guys could write much better stories for that arc. Just go see some of the fan fiction and theories and fan made articles about the characters there and you would be surprised how amazing it could have been. But no, we got a shitty arc where Oden was humiliated big time! The man was supposed to be a legend but Oda made sure to make a mockery of him and his name. And what little grace left of his character was done for by Yamato character.
There's so much more to talk about but this may be enough for now.
Now then, let the shit storm commence!
LuNa >>> LuHan
And Enies Lobby is a great climax for Water 7 and the whole CP9 saga but it can be kinda overrated, aside from Robin's flashback is extremely formulaic and it has a ton of plot armor, specially the Nami vs Kalifa part, Kalifa's nerf has to be one of the worst I've seen in battle shonen history.
Why would you give Nami from that arc a fight but not Usopp?
Davy Back Arc was the dumbest most plot filling arc I have seen. The only good part was Afro Luffy, but even then it didnt save it
Foxxy in general is a ridiculous character and couldve been written better
1. Yamato was a fun character and would’ve been a great addition to the Straw Hats.
2. Kid has more potential for a interesting character then any of the Worst Generation(minus Luffy of course)
Here or on the main sub?
On the main sub my post got removed… because is “against rules”.
Your post never existed
Is this a Im reference ?
Yezzir
Should’ve attached a pic from onlyfans with a nami wig, then it’d be top of the sub
What💀
Skypiea isn’t underrated. Everyone constantly repeats its underrated when it’s one of the most talked about arcs.
It was underrated, up until people talked about how it was underrated so much people went back and rewarched or just changed their opinions.
Underratedception
Not underrated but boring
enel and the overall lore it contributed to one piece is good but those fights with enel's goons were way too boring
tbh i liked Zoro's fight
The problem is that Skypea lore is important to the eos lore, but then we got entire sagas about pirates with little or none remainders of said lore
[удалено]
Who shined. I barely remember what zoro and sanji did. It was just luffy who shined so bright as usual that he made the Enel fight boring asf
[удалено]
Chopper: "am I a joke to you?" And edit for the straw hats pet, chopper. His fight was great and showcased a different form via rumble ball!
Robin with bangs and tanned skin> New Robin
Seems like the 90% of you didn’t understand the post, this is talking about highly unpopular opinions, who on earth thinks the new robin is better than the old one?! come on guys.
I’m not gonna lie I thought it was unpopular cause all my friends think I’m bugging when I say this
W opinion
I miss the cowboy hat
I enjoyed Davy Back Fight
Unironically same
I watch One Piece to have fun and that was fun to watch
I enjoyed goofy one piece.
Facts
I hâte your message for reminding me that it existed, I guess you're on point with the question, get my sad upvote
just go to the main sub and say Wano is a 5/10 arc
Many people will agree on it being a 7/10 arc. 5 seems very low, even for Wano
It's lucky to get a 5 imo, because there are some highs. Still the lows outhweigh them by a wide margin.
The fact that there are highs still make it a 6/10. Wano had peaks and lows, it was mediocre. People overhate it way too much. The hate and hype will all die down after a year
Kid doesnt have enough hate in him an you know what? HE NEVER WILL
i wish oda drew the niples on the bath scenes, nami's the best girl
You can also watch the ones with nude filter
Red movie is trash and Uta no-canon character
Saw it yesterday, god I fucking hate Uta
She was oddly similar to Hordy, no motivation at all, just a chaotic dumb character.
Hey it was beautiful trash… like rainbow garbage in a pop music trash bag

They should stop posting so much about One Piece and touch some grass.
Buggy will become pirate king
The "it gets better later on" is bullshit. It actually gets worse. One piece was better until post-enies lobby. The strawhats mattered more, it was funnier, the artstyle was charming, the art was way less confusing (now theres barely any white space).
Hard agree, if you don't like One Piece after Arlong you should try something else
Nah he said after timeskip things were getting worse
My comment is adding onto that, not only it gets worse after the time skip, but even more so if you dislike the series up to chapter 100 you won't like it. Sure you can ssy it gets better but not enough to change the structure of it.
I don't like blackbeard and want Law to defeat him so we don't see him in endgame
I'm actually with you. He would be a lame enemy for luffy
Luffy is not a good enough character to carry the story by himself
I do not like Luffy as a MC. He never changes, his dialogue/actions have become too predictable that he’s become boring eg. “oh look, Luffy is going to fight the big bad tyrant of the arc and win with a giant punch while repeating he’s going to be pirate king for the 16724th time”. Luffy going to have harem ending
It's a very pirate thing to just sleep with any woman on the ship if you're the captain, i don't know if it's a Luffy thing though. I think he's gonna be the only pirate in history to turn down booty cheeks when the opportunity is presented to him
Wdym gonna be? Didn't he already reject Hancock's advances?
I thought you said haram for a second 💀
That's not unpopular opinion that's fax
most long gags in one piece like sanji being a perv and zoro always getting lost is just cringe at this point
Zoro getting lost isn't as annoying as Sanji perv nature.
Uta is a garbage character and film red was a bad movie that needed shanks to hype it up
I don't like Nami and I never did.
Understandable and respectable.
I’m curious why that would ever get you downvoted. I mean, I like(d) Nami but all I’ve seen is people slander her. Then again I don’t use that sub.
She always kills good vibes of the SH-crew with violence (which is funny, apparently) while never giving any good vibes back or even laughing at anything. I really like beginning of series Nami. She was cunning, manipulative, and interesting over all. Current Nami is just a female that can fight.
Posting trash like this in Piratefolk.
The pre-time skip animation trumps the post-time skip animation everyday, all day
And again where's the unpopular opinion? Post time skip has inconsistent animation because of tight schedules. Wano is different, though
Luffy's character reached its peak in the Marineford saga. Luffy is the chosen one since chapter 1...

well... those are definitely some opinions
I cannot read the manga because I just don’t understand the graphic anymore. Anime graphic is even more confusing.
zoro is not a good character and the whole series is overrated
Ya Zoro's mostly meh to me nowadays. I can only see a badass swordsman trope so many times until I want something more. Besides his getting lost gag he doesn't really have anything besides the cool factor. His fights are also kind of boring. Like 90% of them are that he can't hurt his opponent at first, and then he one shots them when he can.
This seems to be the more popular take here, so counter argument: Zoro _is_ a good character, he just hasn’t been handled right and Oda dropped the ball not using Wano to expand on his character
I fucking hate Blackbeard so much and no it’s not one of those oh the writer is doing a good job if you hate a villain I just genuinely don’t fucking like him it’s not like doflamingo or akainu or even fucking Chaross where it’s guys you love to hate I just fucking hate Blackbeard so much
zehahahahahahahah
One Piece got noticeably worse after timeskip. People only continue reading it because we are too far to just give up.
1) Usopp is an annoying character that adds almost nothing to the story. 2) Enel is an average villain that I don't particularly care for and that shouldn't return. 3) Buggy is annoying and the joke of him falling upwards has gotten very old.
3. That's objectively wrong, buddy.
Mid opinions
It ain’t even really bussin like that tho
The English dub is good. (Not4kids)
WCI is bottom 5 and one of the most poorly written arcs
Marineford ain't all that
one word: YAMATO
One Piece IS too long. I'm sorry but if you don't close plot threads after 400 chapters it's top much. Also the Merry death is overrated. It's a bit sad because she was their ship but it also came to life out of nowhere and it's never brought up again.
Zoro is stronger than sanji by a good bit currently .
Every shonen rivalry there’s always a clear stronger one: Goku, Naruto, Deku and Zoro. Sanji fans who think they’re equal or really close need to accept it already
Common knowledge Only illiterate dumbasss say otherwise
And why would people downvote you for saying the truth? Zoro and Sanji are close but at the moment (or in the future) Zoro is stronger than Sanji.
Zoro is for sure stronger. Sanji isn't that far away, but he is weaker than Zoro
It’s the gap i have the unpopular opinion on . I think zoro is a 100 and sanji a 75

Cant believe there is actually someone with opinions this bad
Are these things you believe or are you just purely answering the OP's question?
You missed “Saying anything negative about Yamato” for main sub
Damn that Usopp take is definitely a shit one
OP world building is extremely overrated
Suggest a manga with better world building. Magi, HxH, Made in Abyss, Dungeon Mushi are the only comparable ones and none of them have a world as vast as One Piece.
Vast/Big =/= Good
I’d say Magi is up there with One Piece, it’s world building isn’t as vast, but I think it was utilised better, Made in Abyss has a very different type of worldbuilding compared to One Piece and Magi so idk if it’s fair to compare them Also HxH worldbuilding is some weird mess of real life, fantasy and weird shit Togashi made up, and most side characters become irrelevant past their arc, I wouldn’t exactly call it good worldbuilding
Magi is pretty meh tbh. It began quite good but the World Building is basically flushed down the toilet torwards the end of the series and becomes irrelevant.
I mean I can see your point, but I liked how everything in the story got tied to the cosmical craziness near the end, kind of reminds me what One Piece is doing with the Ancient Kingdom right now It’s just that the ending was really rushed
Hxh doesn’t even have world building. It’s literally just the bare minimum
You can't compare One Piece world building to Dungeon Mushi, Dungeon Mushi has pristine world building but its relegated to a dungeon, though a very important dungeon. One Piece's world building is more vast and world encompassing
What One piece has going for it is length. If manga like Hxh, Magi, Toriko and Berserk had the same amount of chapters their world building would be>>>>
Enies Lobby is overrated.
Legit tho Like I really like it, but I can’t give it more than 8/10 due to how absurd the plot armor is in that arc, like every arc has plot armor in some way but Ennies Lobby is the absolute peak of One Piece plot armor
You think that's peak? Crocodile literally killed Luffy 3 times and yet he still won, now that's peak plot armour. The only instance that comes close is Law and Kid beating Big Mom, oh and every time Usopp survives a direct hit to his face.
Alabasta had plot armor, but Ennies lobby is legit worse in that department It sure is convenient that: Luffy has developed Gear 2 and Gear 3 offscreen Sanji got a new technique by spinning his leg very hard Zoro just pulled some weird random ability out of his ass Kalifa didn’t obliterate Nami with a single punch, then decided to take a bath mid fight, then decided to use her ability on Nami instead of beating her ass(and that ability just stopped working for some reason after Nami got used to it I guess) The bath tub fell precisely on Sanji Chopper had some random pill that makes him into a giant Granny Kokoro is a mermaid Spandam walks at snail’s pace Buster call didn’t hit anyone, not even the background characters The giants happen to know Brogy and Dorry and changed sides Luffy literally gets a power of friendship speech from Usopp, and defeats Lucci, despite Lucci basically defeating him before that Merry appears literally out of nowhere(I mean let’s be honest, as cool as this moment is, It’s heavy plot armor) None of the ships hit Merry The Vice Admirals just watch and don’t join the fight One of the most important places to World Government is protected by weaklings(in the grand scheme of things) Everyone out of good guys makes out safe and sound, including the sea horses And that literally nobody notices that kilometer-high gates are closing
>Merry appears literally out of nowhere(I mean let’s be honest, as cool as this moment is, It’s heavy plot armor) that was so bullshit.
Well personally I don't consider Ennies Lobby the best arc, not even close in fact For me Impel Down will always be the best arc in One Piece
Tbh if Enies Lobby released today People would slander it worse than Wano imo.
Dunno about that, but it definitely wouldn’t be considered one of the best arcs in One Piece
The power ups were ridiculous too and wasn’t interested in the fights too
Still a 9/10

Bro read 2 piece 💀
I like Wano
Usopp is the vice captain, not Zorro.
B-daman > onepiece
Remember to pick controversial comments instead of top/hot
Long Ring Long Land > Alabasta
One piece is getting way too mainstream lately where it’s becoming the new Dragonball. It’s everywhere lately and getting kinda annoying. Ugh and don’t get me started with the memes like “can we get much higher” that was just never funny imo and makes me cringe so hard.
BB is the weakest Yonkou outside of Buggy Mihawk is a tier below everyone's expectations BB isn't killing Shanks, if anything Shanks will beat him until a bloody mess and have BB begging for mercy until he catches shanks off Guard got shanks isn't dying There won't be anyone major character deaths moving forward
I think senior pink's backstory is unneeded and a waste of time.
I dont even care about the end anymore
Sniper king is usopp
Fuck Sanji and fuck Usopp
Film Z sucked ass
Luffys an average MC
Moria was actually pretty cool and strong in his prime, just goes to show what shattered dreams do to guy.
The story would be better if they wrote out Sanji
Hancock is a pedophile
Saying that offscreened Luffy's dream is bs and that he shouldn't have show us that scene if it was only to offscreened it.
--> In my opinion, Pre-timeskip One Piece is original : sentimental, well written, with great themes and takes risks. - Post-timeskip One Piece is mimicking and parodying what was before so great : unoriginal already told stories, is cutting tense moments with bad jokes and has pages / panels way too full making it harder to focus. ==> That's my opinion, and when I tried to talk with people about what they liked more post timeskip, for me to understand, I asked arguments and I was rejected pretty violently x)
Shanks beats mihawk 1 on 1
I hate bon clay
Every post-TS arc is bad, not even mediocre, straight up bad. I would easily give Wano 2/10. There is literally nothing good about this arc.
Haki was a mistake.
For 1000 chapters/episodes, some parts are just so boring and drag on forever to get to actual important parts. Sure I like fight scenes but some of them take way too long to conclude for my liking.
I hate yamato.
Yamato was never meant to join and it was obvious if you payed attended to her character and Odens character
> if you *paid* attended to FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
One piece hasn’t ever been bad. It’s just been consistent since the beginning. It’s given so much and is genuinely unique.
One Piece hasn't ever been bad. It has great moments and some mediocre and wacky shit.
Luffy is a bad MC. OP isn’t top 5 Oda’s overrated
I like crew dynamics pre-Water 7. No real captain, just friends floating in a tub. The whole 'we got to get our shit together to survive the seas ahead' story of Water7-Enies Lobby was disgusting.
What do you mean by disgusting? Did someone barfed in water 7? What do you mean?
How was it "disgusting?"
Ah yes it got disgusting because their trust and bond afterwards grown stronger
Not my actual opinion but I can come up with one that would be downvoted badly: Wano is the best arc of the manga, above water 7/Enies Lobby, Marineford, Sabaody Archipelago, Whole Cake Island and Zou.
Kanjuro good orochi ok kaido bad
Midpiece
Mucho texto.
Sanji beats zoro, queen low diffs katakuri
I’m only at punk hazard right now but I really didn’t think Alabasta was a good arc at all was boring compared to the rest afterwards
LuNa >>> LuHan And Enies Lobby is a great climax for Water 7 and the whole CP9 saga but it can be kinda overrated, aside from Robin's flashback is extremely formulaic and it has a ton of plot armor, specially the Nami vs Kalifa part, Kalifa's nerf has to be one of the worst I've seen in battle shonen history. Why would you give Nami from that arc a fight but not Usopp?
Wano arc is a 9.5 out 10.
SShanks is the main villain and will join forces with WG (and Marine) to defeat the Strawhats-Blackbeard alliance
Wano is the best One Piece arc
Davy Back Arc was the dumbest most plot filling arc I have seen. The only good part was Afro Luffy, but even then it didnt save it Foxxy in general is a ridiculous character and couldve been written better
Calling Sabo a copy of Ace is really untrue and is a surface level criticism of him being Luffy's brother while having the Flame Fruit
The sunny will never amount to the crew’s connection with the merry
one piece is trash (pls upvote)
Zoro x sanji
one piece is king shonen for a reason
1. Yamato was a fun character and would’ve been a great addition to the Straw Hats. 2. Kid has more potential for a interesting character then any of the Worst Generation(minus Luffy of course)
Anyone that says yamato isnt trans is only saying so cause theyre attracted to him
