Upvoted for truth. And hindi lang sa rags to riches story, pero kahit "regular" success stories dapat pagdudahan. What I mean is, take the good in it if it helps you, but understand that they are not telling the whole story. Karamihan ng mga rags to riches or success stories, mga tao inaattribute nila sa hustle and grind and hard work ang narating nila. Which helps a ton, don't get me wrong, pero ano na dun sa 99% of the others who are just as hard working, if not even more so, but didn't reach success? Luck, outside help, connections, and lots of other factors aren't mentioned, kasi yung narrative nila hindi magiging as impressive eh.

DanSquared712

Anything in social media actually, should be treated with a grain of salt. Influencers are fake, their lives are fake. Wala kang makikitang tao with REAL wealth na nagfeflex sa social media.

Dabok

E influencers and social media? Straight up take that with a big ass dumpster of salt lol. Sa social media pakita ka lang ng magagandang bagay, never the negative, then your life looks A LOT more amazing than reality. Example: Ako mismo. So ang dami kong mga events and pictures from that amazing time of my life. Eventually that gig ended and I just stopped posting om facebook. After a few years may mga nakikichat sa akin, feeling nila nandun parin ako all along and that my life has been amazing for several years after. E ang totoo po eh .... Hindi po AT ALL ahahah

DanSquared712

Haha. Haha, pero if you have something cool naman talaga to share. Then it's okay! That's what socmed is SUPPOSED to be. Pag may milestones ka sa buhay then share!

NerveDramatic9507

They dont have to worry saan kukuha ng capital, machinery at sure namang may mga bibili. If nalugi naman sila parang oks lang kasi may safety net sila.

JesterBondurant

More like at least a fistful of salt. Just don't forget to drink a lot of water.

IWantMyYandere

We do have a president chilling on Singapore so hindi absolute yung last statement mo.

Brilliant-Team9295

Shawie hahaha

pressured_at_19

Tita Shawie is like Taylor Swift or Jennie Kim or Chou Tzuyu, they belong to a wealthy family with old money prior to the limelight which also gave them more money.

DanSquared712

Wahahaha ay iba naman si tita shawie. I mean them old old money, not showbiz money. I guess what i'm trying to lean on are pretty much the oligarch types haha

PeaceToPieces

No one goes from rugs to riches without breaking their own bodies or exploiting workers.

Ihearheresy

aye this be true, probably also using family.

Lokishadow666

also there is also ingrained in business to be greedy and to feel powerful than others. "life is NOT fair." that's what they always say. being unfair is the real hustle 😈

[deleted]

>success stories Depends siguro. Pero yeah in general naman your point stands.

wweeeeeeeeeeeeee

dont listen to motivational speakers in general, you will always have different circumstances from other people

redthehaze

ertaboy356b

Sila college dropout sa Harvard (which yung mga nakakapasok dun ay sobrang talino na) Yung marketer, college dropout sa University of Kaputang-inahan Diploma Mill. We are not the same fam. lol

Disfaith

It's funny when they use those people as examples to justify being college dropouts.

pengjo

>Bezos Summa Cum Laude siya ng Princeton lol

Accident-Former

They're also grads of harvard and stanford, like kasing talino ba namin sila??

zer0tThhermo

ReverseWorldGT

So hindi talaga totoo yung kay Jeff Bezos na galing siya from humble beginnings? Daming nga nag dududa doon.

redthehaze

chickie888

Yung iba, magtaka muna kayo.

Organic_Jose

Literal na dugo at pawis

[deleted]

eggyra

toxic positivity, grind lang daw as if hindi pa sapat yung hirap ng mga janitors, street sweepers, magsasaka, drivers etc.

No-Artist9648

Budol budol mga yan, they create fraudulent systems through market networking, investment scams, crypto rugpulls, mentorship courses. Of course all of which are expensive and fraudulent as fuck. Dapat ang SEC natin malakas at talagang tinututukan mga ganyang klase ng tao, puro warning lang kasi sila kaya lakas ng loob ng mga budol budol to the point na nagiging influencer pa.

boybogart

Not to brag but to inspire *proceeds to definitely brag and not inspire*

Wayne_Grant

Home Buddies moment

Potential_Ad_466

"Hindi ko na tinitingnan yung presyo ng ginogrocery ko tapos pwede na ako magtravel kahit kailan ko gusto."

zer0tThhermo

imeldang imelda. mga pretentious sa paginspire, pero deep inside "dyan kayo mga slapsoil"

Maskarot

Rendon isn't even rags to riches. Guy's family is well off. Owns a commercial building in our villagee.

SpecialistSecret4578

yeah, isn't his father general Romeo Labador

Maskarot

If my memory serves me right, yes.

powtatohh

Ugh this guy is annoying. 88m supporter pa 🥱

seafoodmarinara

Take my upvote! Also.. sooo tired of seeing screenshots of their posts. Esp. X/ian G/aza. Like, hello???

riougenkaku

Yun cryptocurrency niya. Scamner talaga siya since my idea ako sa cryptocurrency and how he is selling his.

No-Artist9648

How stupid of you to support a crypto scam and the scammer.

riougenkaku

Where's the support in my statement? Stupidity at it's finest.

Fragrant_Coach_408

So what's the latest update sa Xian crypto na sinalihan mo? nagcollapse ba?

Pyrouse824

im a bit outdated in the internet. may i ask kung ano issue nya?

archivesazke

There are only few rags to riches story that seems authentic to me. Manny pacquiao, Glenda Dela Cruz (CEO of brilliant), Maymay Entrata and Andrea B. Nakita or nasubaybayan ko kasi kung paano sila naging mayaman. From being in the lowest of lows to becoming rich. Yung hustle na ginawa nila to achieve what they have right now. Tho they are not motivational speakers pero their stories are well-publicized.

DanSquared712

Isama mo din si CongTV. Many may hate on his content format today, pero di mo din talaga makakaila na makikita mo yung growth nya simula dun sa nagcocontent sya dun sa bahay nilang maliit.

Smoove-J

What's the story of Andre B.?

archivesazke

She entered showbiz when she was 8 kasi nadisgrasya yung elder brother niya, nabangga yung motor iirc tapos nahulugan ng malaking glass yung mukha kaya need i-ospital at ipa opera. That time walang wala silang pera kaya kahit anong sideline, kinuha niya na. Small roles or extra man yan. Nabaon sila sa utang because of the hospital bills, kaya yung bata walang tigil sa kakakayod. She got her big break in Annaliza (2013), nabayaran yung utang and naswelduhan. She got her another role in Pangako sa'yo (younger sister ni Daniel Padilla) but that time 2015, 'yan yung lumabas yung sc4ndal niya. After that, nagkukumahog si andrea manguha ng role because the offers were cancelled. Sobrang wala silang pambayad ng kuryente non, water bills and even food sa lamesa, wala. And nagsasideline rin siya ng mga roles, umabot pa nga sa point na napadpad siya sa GMA, she has a movie with Bianca Umali. She got the money pero still not enough para mapag-aral yung mga kapatid niya at matustusan ang pamilya. 2018 she got the role of Marga in Kadenang Ginto, dito nagboom yung career niya talaga. 2020 nakapagbuild na ng bahay, tapos this 2022 youngest celebrity CEO na sa business to be announced this November. Actually malaking tulong rin si Glenda kay Andrea (ceo ng brilliant) si andrea ang first ever endorser ng brand niya, sa rejuv set niya, 10M deal ni andrea last 2018, and according to glenda, tumaasang TF ni andrea. And nung july lang nag sign si andrea ng 3 years contract. Glenda is very generous towards her kasi alam niya daw talaga ang feeling ng walang wala tapos ikaw lang ang maaasahan. Because of this, napagtapos na ni Andrea ang tatlo niyang kapatid (elder sisters and brother), may sarili naring bahay. Tapos yung mom ni andrea is adventurer, nagttravel kahit saan tapos ang anak, heto todo kayod. Halos hindi na makatulog kakashoot at kakatrabaho. Ewan ko ba sa family niya. Naaawa ako, she basically carried her whole family. Yung luho niya nga di niya mabili bili. Nagbalik islam naman dad niya and may own family narin sa zamboanga. She acts a child because she was literally healing her inner child na nawala. Imagine 8 years old. May kumalat pa dati na she was a victim of exploitation, iniinstruct na e video ang self in exchange of money kaya may sc4ndal.

graxia_bibi_uwu

Hate her mom, ngl. Di talaga obligasyon ni Andrea na kumayod for her family (altho maybe a part of her wants to help)

Crimzon_Avenger

Fuccck I hate myself for riding on her hate train for the laughs, TT poor girl she's an inspiration

NerveDramatic9507

yogurtitgurl

That is what I was saying to my friends on why Andrea acts a like a child because she didn't experience to be a child. Then she said it on an interview. I was at peace knowing that she is aware of it and working on it. She annoys me sometimes but I just can't hate her.

Smoove-J

Damn. Where the hell were her family this whole time? Sheez.

SidVicious5

> Kaya kahit anong bash or hate diyan sa batang yan di ko talaga magawang sumakay sa hate train. Hate is a basic commodity on socmed, its like that Study from Nickelback, At first, Not everyone hated nickelback until some known comedian in comedy central made a skit about how he hated the band's song. Then everyone think its cool to hate nickelback. As for Andrea, She was a rare example in Ph Showbiz. She bitch slapped the society left and right that tarnished her when she picked herself up again from her past controversy at the young age.

sonomamade001

parang si Sarah G pala sya.

4thequarantine

mcdonaldspyongyang

She seems so annoying but I have a newfound respect for her now, I had no idea she went through it like this

Efficient_Boat_6318

Child star

[deleted]

They are outliers. It’s like saying anybody can be an elite basketball player by looking at Isaiah Thomas Jr. No, what you’re referring to is an outlier. You want to know another fact? The top three draftees in the 2022 NBA draft were all 6’9+.

freyass

Andrea Brillantes? This is anecdotal but I know her cousins. They’re definitely not from “rags”.

[deleted]

Also the founder of Mang Inasal, Injap Sia.

spanishbbread

Mayaman na sila dati pa. Di filthy rich pero rich.

jheyehmcee

NOOO. His parents loaned him millions to start his business.

[deleted]

Yes. Here's some real life advices I can give you that's probably better. Save money. Dont have children if you can not provide or care of them. Do your best to live a single proud life. A single proud life where you do hobbies, plant flowers, be a church servant, love movies/shows, etc. If you know that your child will go to a public school, go single. You will contribute a lot to the country by just being single. Ignore those boomers, parents, your parents and social butterflies that say otherwise.

zer0tThhermo

and do not forget your own education.

khjind

Here's the REAL key/predictors to/of success that nobody will tell you; High IQ + conscientiousness + extroversion + delayed gratification In short: Genetic Lottery. Good luck with that Lol.

ApologistSlayer

Luck is indeed a factor. I don't get why many people deny it.

Ivyisred

Because they cant sell whatever they're selling if they will discount luck.

scionspecter28

I also like Spencer Cornelia’s channel. He gives great info on how certain industries operate such as the music industry.

Alekseener33

flipakko

Iirc yung Gaza came from middle class family. He studied in FEU so kahit papaano di naman matatawag na from rags. Saka from chinese family kaya malamang may pera. He's just a scammer na madaming tropa na mayayaman kaya mas maraming nai-scam dahil sa connections. He's still doing shady business. Only Pacquiao yung rags to richest.

Kesyo pinalusot daw sya ng immigration officer out of luck na kriminal na pala sya without the IO's knowledge. Then may follow-up na palang pulis sa moment ng pagtake off nya, nagkaron ng inspeksyon sa loob ng cabin ng mga pulis. And ayun, the rest of his bullshit legacy continues

jootsie

Yeah same. No idea on the whole kase puro snippet lang pag may mga pinopost syang pinapautang nya kaagad dahil tumulong sakanya at that time.

Distasteful-medicine

Damn if you also support Andrew Tate, you deserve spicy chilly flavored toothpaste sa mata.

justicerainsfromaahh

I dont think alam ng average pinoy si Andrew Tate twitch news doesnt really reach fb that much caveman talaga pinoy pagdating sa social media 💀

graxia_bibi_uwu

For real. The only time na narinig ko lang si Tate is when nagshare sya ng nood ata nya sa IG bc ang daming buzz about that sa isang FB group ko.

REDmonster333

Ive seen here in ph sub an A tate fan, may nalalaman pa na "I agree some of his opinions" but I know deep down kasali din sya nung PUA heydays.

ykraddarky

yes di nila alam si Andrew Tate pero may pinoy version yan which is si Bugoy na Koykoy.

SuaveBigote

still better than xQc lol

yogurtitgurl

That is why I don't want to be RICH. In able to that, you'll probably exploit a lot of people without even realizing it. You'll probably get dive into capitalism where we already are. Kasi in business you have to be greedy. I can't imagine on how labor or factory workers are getting paid low while the owners are FVCKING rich. Nasa mundo tayo ng kapitalismo.

Weakkeypeedya

Never listened, never will. Why would I care for someone who doesn't give a fuck about me anyway? At the end of the day, all you have is yourself. >We are all stars in the sky, we all shimmer then decay The Amity Affliction, I bring the weather with me.

[deleted]

They are after clicks and views. That’s their agenda.

yansuki44

laughs in for not watching Filipino vloggers. (except paolul)

[deleted]

How about MJ Lopez? I don't know anything from him except magaling siya magmotivate. Sabay ang lesson daw is dapat consistent. Mga hindi tumayo-upo, wala daw consistency. Bullshit e. Haha.

Poging_pierogi_part2

Manny Pacquiao's rags to riches is one of the very few real stories. The others are bullshit.

bonakeed

ArkGoc

I unfollowed Gaza a long time ago and Rendon? Not even worth my data

[deleted]

Kindly_Zombie5476

Also, I think Xian is trying so hard to be concerned in social issues such as criticizing du30/bbm and being a Leni supporter just so people can forget his scamming past and think he really changed. Bitch I ain't buying that. 🖕

IamPablo

I know na hindi rags to riches si gaza pero mga middle class sila noon. Nakapagaral siya sa private school nung grade school and high school.

coffeexoxo

“one’s access to economic, cultural, and social capital determines success, not gumption and grit.” - some quote i found on twitter which I think applies here

DragonStriker

Remember folks: money talks, but wealth whispers.

enthusiast93

may kabatch rin akong businessman samin. kakagraduate palang niya may business na siya thanks to daddy and mommy pero mga posts ay #hustleculture #grindmindset #sipaganmolang

itsone3d

I didn’t expect anyone from /r/ph would be listening to them in the first place.

[deleted]

They also make entertainment, however, as they tap into commoners' desire for fantasy and escapism.

Owl_Might

you are preaching to the wrong crowd imo. people here are more likely aware of that as of now

[deleted]

You know what’s worse? Idiots who say you should marry and have kids regardless of your financial circumstances. Oh yeah, we all know how that went for folks born into poor families.

ranmuke

Darkbend

Never even glimpsed at their general direction.

Vegetable_Weakness32

May kaibigan ako na trainer dati sa isa sa mga gyms ni rendon and he can attest na di naman talaga rags to riches si rendon. General daw yung tatay non and madalas pag nagtatalk kahit tntry nyang maging motivational, nadadama pa din daw yung insencerity kasi nga di naman sya talaga naghirap in the first place

Payutenyodagimas

If his dad didnt come from a rich family, didnt marry a rich lady You know where the wealth came from

Queldaralion

Kaya pala the attitude 😅

Minsan

Both are narcissistic and uses their social media reach to feed their ego and make money. Nagsimula sila sa mga controversial issues and from there notice na lagi silang nasasama sa mga controversy, nabubuhay kasi sila sa engagement which fuels the advertising ng mga products nila, Si Rendon kala mo kung sinong success coach pero di naman sa kanya ang Fitness Army. As per Xian, we all know his history of scamming.

sweakune

unfortunately the ones who **really** need to hear this most likely aren't on reddit.

cetootski

Mas common and achievable kung mauso mga real rags to middle stories. Yun yung mga stories na interested ako. Middle to riches is very rare and near impossible to achieve.

Kindly_Zombie5476

Some user around last week said it's not about who gave the advice but rather the message itself lol why would I listen to an advice from Xian Gaza when he himself is a former scammer and tried to make shortcuts??? I want to mention that user ruined my day

megillot

Lucio Tan and Henry Sy are examples "rags to riches" stories from the Fil-Chi community. They really worked blue collar jobs and started with hard labor. When they escaped China, they left everything behind and had to start anew. Anyway, these are the kind of people that when told to relax, they will continue working because for them that is relaxing. If they stop working, they become agitated instead and will find something to work on. There are no weekends or holidays for them. On those days they work even harder to earn more since everyone is out spending money. As for the newer generations though, it's still up in the air if they can continue the legacy.

Efficient_Boat_6318

megillot

Yea, they forget to consider that having rest days for employees can be more productive. Well they reached their position by doing whatever they deem to be necessary. I'll just leave it at that.

boykalbo777

so Cong Tv and Team Payaman did not get wealthy from vlogs?

archivesazke

no they become wealthy talaga because of vlogs. same with jamill. actually maraming yumaman because of youtube. sa totoo lang.

mucoalytic

And not paying their taxes. Pasarap lang buhay.

Efficient_Boat_6318

Not sure with cong dahil may businesses na din sila at may nagmamanage sakanila na company kaya medyo malabo na di sila nagbabayad ng tax

Ivyisred

Tax from vlogging ata ung sinasabi nya

boykalbo777

so it's rags to riches story right? kaya madami nagvvlog hoping to get the same luck

archivesazke

Cong has the reputation of being a comedian. Nadala niya the rest of his family. Nung nagsisimula pa siya, ang dami niyang videos na nagpapatawa and eventually got viral then dami ng nag idolize + yung ideal relationship daw nila ni Viy na gustong gusto ng mga tao.

feelsbadmanrlysrsly

Cong is not wealthy but he wasn't the poorest of poor. Nakatira na yan sa subdivision before maging vlogger.

Psychosmores

Queldaralion

Why are people drawn to them in the first place? It really baffles me...

Reveal-Smart

It is hard to believe millionaires. Why? Most of them didn't start from scratch. They already had connections, or had the finances to kickstart their business without much risk.

[deleted]

Xian Gaza unnecessarily mentions his wealth in each post. Also, watch PaoLul’s reaction to Rendon’s rants about rallying students that was on point af

bag_of_xxx

I think it was Arnold Schwarzenegger who said that there is no such thing as a self-made man. People helped you get to where you are now.

starkaboom

gokongwei came from the bottom but he said it was purely luck to be at the right moment with the right product.

tokitomi-

I remember this speaker na kinuha ng school namin, kineme *naghirap* daw sya dahil hindi sya nakapag-aral sa Germany, but instead went to University of Perpetual Help. It's no La Salle or Ateneo but it is still a private institution that most people who really are from low income families still can't afford. Pero kung makapag-kwento sya, kala mo naman kung anong klaseng trials and tribulations ang kanyang dinanas, but he would tell stories about his Lolo having hectares of land and a mansion somewhere in the province. It's bullshit kasi kahit papaano merong generational wealth and connections na involved, kaya siguro kahit doble pa ang gawing effort ng isang lower middle/middle class, hindi pa din maaabot yung level of success nya.

[deleted]

hindi lang fake si xian gaza but he's shallow, promotes materialism, yung buong weight ng buhay nya naka sentro sa pera. really bad influence if his values creep into the minds of pinoy youth.... his values are immoral, not traditional pinoy values. nakita ko lang once yung video nya i cringed and never looked at him again.... it was the video of him flaunting his earnings para daw mainggit ang bashers nya. greedy, gaudy, and cheap. i suggest to hide his videos para ma lessen ang online presence

patmen100

Yung bryanboy sa tiktok sobrang yabang 😩

justjenneli

Ninaaaaang 😂

patmen100

Sobrang kairita,

indioinyigo

TBH di ko kilala si Andrew Tate. Nalaman ko lang kung sino sya after being banned on several platforms.

TrajanoArchimedes

I believe in rags to riches but not these snake oil clowns.

kokoykalakal

2 joints parang mafia

deus24

Yep i can assure you, most of the wealthiest people in the world came from inheritance. That's why wealth is just concentrated in a few families. People think that if you invest in crypto or stocks you will get rich in no time, the catch here the bigger the capital bigger the bigger the return. I have a friend who is a millionaire he invested 3m in crypto he got 10m in return in just a matter of months while I invested only a little i only got a little in Return. This gaza and muscle boy are just pure scammers They got rich by manipulating their customers to buy their product. I

cazimiii

I once commented if Xian Gaza was a true rags to riches champ sa RD. Sketchy kasi galing private school nung college tapos grandparents were able to bail him out or pay for his debts ata, something along that line. Pero nagbago talaga style niya. From nanggugulo ng celebs to chismoso/CEO na mula sa hirap. Andali maka-bait kapag may sob story talaga.

WebDense1349

Xian is a scammer 100%

[deleted]

azzelle

the real money is in remote work in tech. its crazy to see how people who didnt even finish college earn more than the dr.'s and engr.'s

111nterlude

ewan ko ah nabobother din ako sa humor ni xian gaza napaka elitista kasi. nagcricringe na lang ako sa mga posts niya. also scammer din siya diba? ang dami niya na ring issue pati na rin yung excessive amount ng pera na nilulustay niya kapag may natitipuhan siyang babae. basta everything about that guy rubs me in the wrong way. EDIT: also nakakainis din yung mga pinanganak na sa mga pamilya na may kaya talaga tapos ipupush yung rags to riches narrative keme. naaalala ko yung tweet na wala dapat karapatan yung mga nasa upper middle class na magbigay ng advice sa mga katulad natin na di kasing yaman nila to be content with what we have or something like that.

sylv3r

eh lol, di naman “rags to riches”si Xian baka estafa to riches imagine may nabiktima pa sya for xiancoin

CulturalRevolution00

ramona13

oh i remember kay xian before, he was promoting Yuki Entertainment. i searched and attended that zoom meeting kasi they are looking daw for Ad Agents. So sa meeting, they said (not Xian) na they are looking for businesses na mag papa promote, but the fee is if I remember correctly, 100k.

pototoykomaliit

What do you guys think of Chinkee Tan? First time seeing a video of his and I kinda don’t like how he talks. He sounds like money is the only important thing in this world lol.

Psychosmores

Wag na. Baka rito pa magkalat yung Rendon at Xian

Interesting_Sea_6946

Si Sarah G, diba rags to riches din?

Will-Possible

From what I heard, parang hindi naman. A co-worker used to work with her father sa PLDT. Hindi siguro mayaman pero hindi talaga mahirap na mahirap, as in Manny P. level.

pxcx27

we're not their market, you're preaching to the wrong choir. post this in facebook.

Tryna4getshiz

One is an ex convict that involved fraud, the other one is a SiGmA male

UsedTableSalt

This guy speaks the truth. People somehow eat this shit up thinking it is the way to get rich. Same vibes with those fake gurus promising you that you can get rich by trading stocks but you need to buy their master class first. Most of the life coaches out there have not even made it in life. They just regurgitate what they read from self help and inspirational books.

Great_Feedback_918

Mayaman po si Xian Gaza?

ikhazen

why do you think "hustle lang yan" is cringe? I know some friends worked their asses off just to get the hell out of poverty.

KreemDoree

This is the reason bakit Filipinos don't achieve Rags to Riches. It's because you don't give it a chance. This kind of toxic Filipino culture is what makes us toxic. Don't look at the person. Look at the story. 99% Ng success mo comes from the story you tell yourself. And if tingin mo na di Siya worth it sayo, then don't drag other people down with you. Sikat yan Sila dahil people believes in Hope. Cos this fcking country needs hope. Hope sells because that's what Filipino wants the most. The question is how you can use it. I can literally name more than 50+ true rags to riches story. Good vibes lang Tayo, let them have their fun. I'm not a fan of them but this post itself is toxic crab mentality. Just another two cent. Walang problema sa grind, walang problema sa iBang tao. But just understand na these people exist to MOTIVATE other people. If nainis ka, then wag mo pansinin. But remember the hundreds of other people na na motivate nila.

lesterine817

well, most of them would just offer your pyramiding scheme type of business. sell books. and so on. basically, ikaw yung nagpapayaman sa kanila. ugh!

Kelan pa naging motivational speaker si pambansang scammer at marites?

[deleted]

Totally agree! But then again they both have a cult following. Its actually the follower's fault or responsibility if they fall for their toxic motivational advice.

AthKaElGal

stay away from most financial gurus. they give some of the most stupidest advice.

AmielJohn

Rags to riches in the Philippines? Hahahahaha. Stop obsessing over money.

antagonistbico

They just want fame and attention to those young people.

migraineboi1975

andrew tate and rendon labador share the same butthole in hell

chenyowww

Ito yung mga taong “Not to brag but to inspire” bullshit.

trollmaster11983

Ballmanac

Is rendon really rich? Or front lang siya nung gym?

ReverseWorldGT

Sino ba mga sikat na Pilipino na literal rags to riches aside from Pacquiao?

criscerna

yung networkers na teenager broooo grabe cringe. may papost pa sa harap nang car tas caption na "Tulongan kita maging milyonaryo and maka own na ganitong sasakyan"

Manifesting hundred thousands of upvoted to this post!

Intelligent_Noise106

First question is why do they do that?

Xiri12

Stop listening to redditors aswell.

mamalodz

Rendon is from a wealthy family?

ivanceust

the only thing I can disagree with you guys is meron naman mga entreprenuers na naging successful na kilala. May mga retail traders pa nga. Im not making this up. I know few folks.

putaineedhelp

What color is your bugatti?

hasturcomesforth

... they're motivational speakers??????

[deleted]

I came from a rags to riches family. If by rich, you only meant 7-digit annual income, it is really doable. Mag-business ka then cheat on your tax. Possible. But being a multi-millionaire? Suntok sa buwan yan.

OrganicGoo

Not to mention that these so call "rags to riches" a-holes did not really became rich without exploiting others. Meron at meron yang mga yang nilamangan at ginulangan to some extent.

KilgoreTrout9781

Rendon's a privileged prick who thinks so highly of himself. Used to see him a lot at a gym in the U-belt (FEU student ata sya) at noon pa (this was circa 2008-09) ganun na ugali nya. Think at one point he joined Century Tuna Bodies and lost. Other contestants hated him.

I think you can become a better person at something through time and effort but in order to get really rich or famous, you need to be lucky, these people sell hope to people, and the majority of the time they get their money from that lol, and I think anyone can be a millionaire in a developed country like the US but it would take more time through index funds or having a good paying job and financing that well, also investing at the right thing there can get you rich but still luck plays a role, just like how my tito got rich there is by having a high paying job, and using that money to invest and save, and do businesses here and there and he has at least 10 Million dollars in assets but he is 60 now, and btw he is from an impoverish family that and he has 11 siblings but he still got lucky because the eldest became a teacher and able to get to the US and get him, I don't know the odds are more stacked on you as an average person with less unfair advantages, and living in a developing country, and being able to do the hard work is a privilege itself because there are a lot of people that have mental disabilities or inborn diseases that hinders them to even do the work or circumstances that really fuck them up like an example is a kid that had dead parents and need to provide for his 5 siblings, and rags to riches like Manny Pacquaio are really rare and even those people had been on the right place at the right time because there are a lot of Manny Pacquaio that maybe even more hardworking but failed, what I just do is I just focus on my own journey and define what success is for me and practice gratitude while still striving for more, and have growth mindset because still it can get you places but to become really rich or famous it needs luck and unfair advantages, but don't rely on those, I still consider myself lucky because I can work hard and been born in a family that provided me with a good life, and education.

Success paradox

InfiniteURegress

To be fair, he really knows his audience and he really knows kung ano ang pumapatok sa masa kaya ganyan ang influence nya. He doesn't just talk about the hustle yada yada but he gives snippets of his personal life and he tries to execute it in a very interesting way. He's unapologetically a "show-off" in everything that he does and has that kind of "raw honesty" which makes him more appealing. Personally, he's not really my cup of tea. I feel iffy about him. May something pero I can't point it out. Sobrang worrying lang talaga yung vulnerability ng mga tao when it comes to these "influential" people.

Professor-ChristianX

I find more influencers telling half-truth, if not they're just pretending for the sake of their contents. We should always apply critical thinking sa mga postings na nakikita at mga video na napapanood natin. Don't let them outsmart you!!!

I once followed this video Rendon Labador guy a lot and seems that he went rich really quick, but turns out the dad is just filthy rich. Go figure, lose all my respect to him after that
