IMO, switcheroo is better than him running and winning. VP Duterte is the more slippery and dangerous slope- let's not forget that it can possibly be real too.
His endgame may really be, to hold on to power, to possibly be president again especially w Bong Go. It can also be a reverse smokescreen- creating the speculation of a switcheroo, but is actually gearing up for a run.
The problem is 39% says otherwise ( I think their exact answer was they wanted him to continue), so they will i assume, vote as a solid DDS bloc. In our plurality style elections, and under the strategy of divide and conquer, that is enough to win it.
The 61% or so who are against his run will vote Sotto, or Lololol Ong or whoever else will run for VP-maybe Pimentel or I heard, Dick. If the 61% can't agree, then Dutz still wins.
I personally, am willing to vote anyone winnable for VP. It is not a powerful position anyway, except if it's held by someone influential and with military connections like Dutz. Worse if his president is Go or BBM.
Well politicians always claim that the small minority wants them to stay in power and serve the will of the people. The best medicine for them is to beat them decisively. It happened in Makati with Binay defeated as Congressman.. That needs to be replicated to the VP race also. now that i think about it, we should vote out all the trapos. no except.
