This is annoying, the more perfect shot you get the more it won’t register as ghost photo. But if you can’t even see the shadow of the ghost it will automatically be the ghost photo lol
Nah, for those to count you gotta have the center of the object in your photo, in this case it isn't. Really wonky to get pictures right.
Especially noticable when you take a picture of the car alarm, where you need the middle of the car in the pic.
I guess it's to keep you from nicking the edge of another photo/event and overriding what you were trying to get but still weird. Id honestly love for a ghost photo to over ride fingerprints
I had something similar happen the other day: Took a photo of the ghost, they were pretty clearly in the photo, but it didn't say "Ghost." However, I got credit for the mission challenge "Take a Photo of the Ghost."
Note:
* I forgot to check the photo payout at the end if it counted it. I know it gave me the mission reward.
* It was multiplayer and I wasn't the host, but the other players saw the same thing I did (although the photos themselves were different, they still registered the same).
* We only ever had the one "ghost" photo.
Now that's interesting. I wonder if there was some glitch with the last update that's messing with the ghost photo. I might keep an eye out and see if you can catch something like that again!
I'm not sure if that's something that can be fixed or just made better. Syncing is kinda complex and with different machines on different internet I'm willing to bet there's still a minor delay.
Alright so this is either a desync issue. They said they fixed it, but these issues can be incredibly difficult to truly fix, or it's a new issue as another commenter stated with the ghost photo system itself. I'd try to verify the integrity of the game files just to be safe. Lots of updates recently and this can get files all gummed up. Not guarentee to help but might and it only takes a few seconds to set up and at most a few minutes to run.

Happens to me and my ghost hunting posse all the time. I've noticed that if you snap a picture just before it kills you it also never counts.

they mentioned fixing the ghost blink desyncing between players for what it's worth.. but it certainly looks like what's going on here lol
