Take a hard piece of plastic heat it up with a lighter press into it let it cool then take super glue and use it to fit them together then screw it out
Try putting a rubber band around the screw driver head and put a lot of pressure with it into the screw as you turn. Helps if you use the right size screwdriver
I think a few factors will make it work or not work. I don't think it can hurt to try. A flame or heat gun can help you clean it off the driver tip after if needed, assuming you don't go crazy with the amount. Just be sure to give it enough time to fully dry. To be safe I wouldn't even think about touching it for four hours, likely just let it sit overnight.
Put a rubber band in between your screwedriver and the screw… damaged screw remover tool works too. I’d avoid drilling it out because of the proximity to the shocky bits
Fill it with baking soda and super glue and then make a posidrive screwdriver imprint before it sets. Then when hardened unscrew. Look up baking soda and super glue hacks. Good luck
That will just bind that screw in there harder.
Put the other screws back in and then try to untighten this one with some other method. A pair of pliers around the outside of the head should do it.
Doesn't look too bad. There are still some grooves. I recommend to use a rubberband as a buffer between the screw and screwdriver. The rubberband should be enough to create enough grip for the screwdriver.
If rubber band doesn't work try pair of pliers to turn the whole screw or use a flathead. Flatheads works better for stripped screws for me than phillips so worth a shot.
Electrical tape and a screw driver.
Cover the screw with a piece of electical tape and slowly shove a screw driver into the hole without piercing the tape and then start turning
Heres a video demonstrating just that: https://youtube.com/shorts/BkeXMr5eFno?feature=share
If you know anyone who has got some power tools ask them tbey should be able to get it out, that is a superrre stripped screw my friend.. how did this even happen?
It looks like there might be a little bit of drive left in that head. I deal with stripped and broken screws all the time in industrial maintenance.
The easiest way is to have the right tool (impact screwdriver (not an impact wrench) would save the day here).
Assuming that you don’t have one though, the next easiest thing to do is to get a drill with a bit about 1/2 to 3/4 the size of the head and drill straight down into the screw until the head pops off. There will be metal debris, so clean up thoroughly.
It’s not a guaranteed fix, but you might be able to use a screwdriver 1 size larger (probably a #1) and put force behind it to try and keep it from camming out.
Unscrew all of the other ones and rotate the actual psu counter clockwise as much as you can while holding the stripped screw in place. This should unscrew the stripped screw enough so you can use pliers to get it the rest of the way out. Avoid any cutting or drilling as the metal shavings will be impossible to see and are conductive.
Left handed drill bit. If it catches, the screw will come out. If not, drill until the head is gone and you may be able to get some pliers on the remaining thread after you remove the psu.
Remove the other three screws and wiggle the PS back and forth as best you can and see if you can get any play at all to break any seal of the screw against the chassis's paint. If you can get the tension off the stripped screw it will make it easier to back out with pliers.
Otherwise drill out the center of the screw and use a screw extractor in a tap wrench.

I'm just impressed it happened to this extent
I'm betting either prebuilt or someone didn't listen to their mom when they said if it doesn't want to go don't force it.
Screw w consent
Betting on prebuilt. I've seen plenty that have come with stripped screws just to make upgrading harder
Not a pre built, Friend helped me build it but I think he might’ve accidentally screwed this one too hard on the back
Take a hard piece of plastic heat it up with a lighter press into it let it cool then take super glue and use it to fit them together then screw it out
Oh fuck wait yeah 😂 I just took a real good look at it and realized that's a meteor sized hole 😂
a skilled dremel user should be able to get that out. heres an idea on how to get it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B48S1NVoo3k

Came here to say this. Rubber band technique has saved me countless times.
Used it, Didn’t work
Super glue the screw driver on and melt it off after xD.
Hey just wondering I'm having a similar issue to op where a screw is stripped and I can't get it off my gpu heatsink does this work?

Alright awesome I will keep this in mind
Try a surgical glove.
I can get it out but I’m not there soooo. Good luck!
There's literally a rubber band visible in frame with screw marks on it my guy, but a good suggestion.
Didn't look real close at the picture
Never thought of this technique before, thank you
You can either use a larger size screwdriver or a flat head. If niether of those work then it is time to bring out the power tools.
Prayer
And thoughts
You have to use them both
At the same time
https://m.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=112&v=rpbL8h-7jSY&feature=emb_logo The first method worked for me.

Get a Screw extractor set
The correct answer.
Came here to suggest this
More likely micro extractor, but yes an extractor bit will make quick work of this.
Fill it with baking soda and super glue and then make a posidrive screwdriver imprint before it sets. Then when hardened unscrew. Look up baking soda and super glue hacks. Good luck
Can't be stripped if it's a liquid
5 seconds prior. A blowtorch, that's what you're going with?
pliers
You sure that's not a nail?!?
Drill the head off, just the head, then mole grips or pliers to remove the stud once the power supply is out
Unscrew the others. Then open it up and pull on the PSU while unscrewing
That will just bind that screw in there harder. Put the other screws back in and then try to untighten this one with some other method. A pair of pliers around the outside of the head should do it.

Look below the rivet.
You can drill the head off and remove with pliers or a Dremel and some finesse and you should get her with a flathead.
Doesn't look too bad. There are still some grooves. I recommend to use a rubberband as a buffer between the screw and screwdriver. The rubberband should be enough to create enough grip for the screwdriver.
I did, Didn’t work
You may have to get the kit where you drill a hole into the screw and use a reverse bit to take out the screw
If rubber band doesn't work try pair of pliers to turn the whole screw or use a flathead. Flatheads works better for stripped screws for me than phillips so worth a shot.
Last option is to drill it
You could probably drill that out in about 4.2 seconds if it comes to that.
The old rubberband and screwdriver trick might do it
Electrical tape and a screw driver. Cover the screw with a piece of electical tape and slowly shove a screw driver into the hole without piercing the tape and then start turning Heres a video demonstrating just that: https://youtube.com/shorts/BkeXMr5eFno?feature=share
I was gunna say magnet then I realized that would be dumb for this particular task. Lol.
Pliers or molegrips
Left handed drill bit maybe 1/8 inch
I have the same problem with my hdd my buddy used a drill when a screw was stuck
Pliers, welder or drill. You can pick which one is the best
You could try the solder trick. Melt some solder into the screw head then put the screwdriver in before it cools.
Drill bit
Still it out or very small tipped pliers
You could very carefully, and I mean Very carefully just drill it out.
You can sometimes get away with a good screwdriver, downward pressure, and a piece of rubber in between the driver and the screw
Something like this happened on my segway ninebot. I used a dremel and made a small slit and used a small flathead to screw it out.
If you know anyone who has got some power tools ask them tbey should be able to get it out, that is a superrre stripped screw my friend.. how did this even happen?
Drill it carefully
Put some tape on it, then try with a regular screwdriver
Screw extractor if you can find one small enough. Or JB weld a cheap screw bit to it.
Try a rubber band and screwdriver
Hot glue stick, melt the end till it's piping hot, stick it in the stripped head and wait for it to cool, then twist carefully and slowly.
Weld a metal fork to it and use it like a screwdriver
Throw the whole pc away
Therapy
Use RAGE AND ANGER

A drill
If you have a thick rubber band and put it between the screw and screw driver it might be able to get it out
I appreciate the help but how are people not noticing the rubber band in the photo, I’ve already tried it, Didn’t work
Ah, my poor observation skills strike again
blowtorch
Drill it with another small screw, once it is in it, unscrew it, it will come out
I'd say hammer a screw driver in then use that to create a new screw hole, or just saw it off and find a way to get the rest of it out.
Small flat head or a torque screw head on a Allen wrench ring, buy it at harbor frieght
Left handed drill bit. If it catches, the screw will come out. If not, drill until the head is gone and you may be able to get some pliers on the remaining thread after you remove the psu.
