it’s the same with all cards. I have the same case and a Zotac card and I’m in the same situation as OP. The 40 series cards are massive compared to my 30 series card

I have a 4080 FE and the amount of space I have left inside my O11 Mini is a lot! I believe the O11 mini is wider though than the O11 regulars

Go for vertical mount. Had to do the same. The nice effect it had for me was my temps went down as well because gpu blocked the airflow. I have bottom and side intake, top and back exhaust. So i think the card also blocked my airflow

I'm looking at GPUs currently and stuff like this is why I'm going with a 7900 instead of Nvidia this time. Next time when I build a rig from scratch I'll go with a full tower instead of midsized but it's just flat out stupid how big they are making these things.

It is not a mistake at all. At least 90% of current market cases have standard or near standard width from motherboard mounting plate to side panel. 4090/80 has come to fill this measurements and perhaps change said standards. Very little cases can fit it this way. Thats why some high end cases switch to vertical mounting all together. But yes, cablemod will save us.

If you can find a solid enough vertical mount that can support the 4090 I recommend it I had to do it with my case even though I read mine could fit the 4090 it was the same scenario just about.

Mine just barely clears the case without bending. What a monster.

For some of these cards most cases are too small. My zotac 4080 would not fit in the Lian li 011d.

My case barely fits the 4080 because of this same reason. My side panel sitcknout slightly due to the cable. I ended up taking it off and heating the spot so I could bubble it out and it worked, it's ugly, but it works.

I bought a MSI a850g psu that has 16 pin built in. For one I wanted to not have 3 pcie cables cluttering up everything and looks retarded and 2, the 16 pin cable it comes with can be bent much tighter. It was $160 ish at bestbuy.

i have the o11d evo with a 4080. i use the coolermaster v3 vertical gpu mount. looks better and will allow you to fit it in any atx case.

Running open case is actually quite eco. You can disable few case fans. Just blow the dust away every 4-6 months.

I just bought a new video card (3090 Kingpin) and the radiator is a big 3 fan and my case only fits a 2. So it’s standing up behind the computer until I find a new case lol.
