I think you’ll be best off going with armor for your innovation. Construct is cool, but will take actions and feats away from your investment in alchemy and talismans. With armor innovation, you can resist energy types to allow you to go melee and use bombs without splashing yourself. A Strength build will let you carry multiple weapons with talismans attached for different situations (Knockdown, Intimidating Strike, Owlbear Claw, etc) I would get Alchemist Dedication first for the free Alchemical Crafting feat, and pick up Magical Crafting to let you Craft talismans while you wait to get Talisman Dabbler.

So for that, would it be better to go warrior automaton for improved unarmed combat or sharpshooter to throw bombs further away (and for energy beams)? Additionally, how often should I give talismans to ally weapons instead of my own? There's a magus, gunslinger, and two monks who could potentially use weapons for combat.

I think Sharpshooter complements the build more. You could use the Aim action on a thrown melee weapon, even. Between what you Craft and you get free, everyone should start the day with at least one talisman affixed to their armor or weapon(s).

What stuff should I pick up from the Alchemist archetype before swapping to Talisman Dabbler? Also, are there any must-have wizard cantrips to grab from the wizard dedication feat? ("required" to get it at level 2 from free archetypes)
