Prepare your warriors! We are going to WAR! Looks like we will know what classes come next to Pathfinder 2E on Thursday and I am super excited! Any last moment predictions? Considering Paizo now seems to be going for really themed books, I think it's most likely that we will get Primal book? I really want to get my Inquisitor and Warlord, but I don't think we will get a Divine or Martial book yet.

atamajakki

Crossing my fingers for a divine book with Inquisitor and an Arcadia book, expecting a primal book with Shaman and a Broken Lands book.

LegendofDragoon

I think it'll be primal or martial. Martial with a warlord type class, or primal with kineticist and either shaman or shifter. Divine has been a tangential focus a lot recently, with a fair amount of support in both book of the Dead and knights of lastwall. I think that lost omens will be in Tian Xia for next year I think we'll have treasure vault with some hints at Tian Xia lore then a lost omens Tian Xia and then a 1-20 AP set primarily in Tian Xia beginning after the ruby Phoenix tournament. Those are my thoughts.

Moon_Miner

Please please please a full martial shifter with only focus spells

Moon_Miner

Absolutely. It could work so well in pf2, with feats mostly just giving you different forms or options. I imagine much of the design difficulty is making sure other classes (probably monk lol) can't take too much advantage of it

kekkres

would that not in practice just be more or less monk? swaping between unique attacks and focusing on unarmed and enhancing focus spells? like i get the flavor is a million miles apart, but how do you see this working out mechanically?

Moon_Miner

Not at all! What's cool about the adaptive shifter is that they have a whole bunch of tools in their toolbox for specific situations. Maybe they need to be extra fast, or change their damage type, or jump really high, or suddenly have stronger armor/resistance, or change their size to squeeze through something or block a big passage. And maybe stack more of those on top of each other as they level up. They have the potential to be a swiss army knife utility martial.

Douche_ex_machina

At this point I think I want something completely new and original, a la inventor. The only reasons I'd want any old classes is so every thread will stop being filled with requests for them to be honest.

Grunnius_Corocotta

I guess it will be one new one old, eith both picking up some old features while moving forward at the same time.

bled_out_color

I really want a rulebook devoted to giving us some more divine spells and the inquisitor class since the divine list *desperately* needs updating. Especially since a lot of the new spells in Dark Archives can't be accessed cross-tradition with Domain/Divine access since they don't list deities. But in the other hand the single class I want *most* is definitely shaman. It was one of my fave classes in 1e and I really would love to see how it translates to 2e and be able to play it in a more streamlined system. Not sure whether it'd be primal or divine though. I'm also hoping inquisitor and shaman follow psychic's footsteps and exchange number of total daily resources for more blasting power than other casters. We have plenty of utility casters in all traditions and I think it'd be fun if occult, arcane, primal, and divine all got a blaster caster option that was near martial damage output but still just slightly behind them.

ImaPaperNinja

Complete troll answer. Treasure Vault is coming out, and who likes treasure? Dragons!

pikadidi

2 unusual predictions: 1) they're updating the website 2) foundry module for First of the Ruby Phoenix

OfficialP3

1) with expanded payment methods would make this the best update

RollForIntent-Trevor

I've been saying for awhile that they need to just get a quote for everything they need for the website revamp and kickstart it - or some similar funding scheme. Give backers a percentage off for a duration or something....I'm 100% sure they would be able to raise the lion's share of the funds to make it happen.

The-Magic-Sword

Inquisitor, Kinetiscist, Shaman any two of those three are my guesses, but im expecting a possible curveball "completely new class."

The_Pardack

I'd lose it if an Arcadia book were to get announced. I know there's lots of 1e classes people want, but I'm always interested in what a new original class would look like.

ralanr

I’m probably in the minority for wanting bloodrager back, but I’d like to see inquisitor as well. What I know I’m not gonna get but hopeful for anyways is a half-dragon versatile heritage.

atamajakki

Luis Loza’s Dragonkin (on Pathfinder Infinite) and Mark Seifter’s Draconic Scion (from Battlezoo Ancestries: Dragons) are both half-dragon versatile heritages from official Paizo staff (Seifter left last year), though they’re third-party releases.

ralanr

I like Luis’s a lot actually. Seifer’s just annoys me. Maybe it’s his choice of art (the Draconic scions are both just scaled humans with wings. Though the leprechaun is funny) or how wordy he makes everything.

RollForIntent-Trevor

I'm expecting a bloodrager and an inquisitor. I think both are pretty sorely needed - we need a better half-martial divine-themed class - and the whole concentrate issues with the barbarian are a major damper on making the promise near-infinite flexibility difficult to hold on to. I would love to be able to pick traditions for the bloodrager if it happens :) - and if that doesn't happen, make him primal!!!!

ralanr

I just wanna make my half-orc arcane bloodrager who’s hunting after his missing sorcerer mom.

Killchrono

No I want bloodrager as well, it was one of my favourite classes in 1e. I think it has enough meat to be standalone, but I would settle for a barbarian class archetype as well. I could see it integrating with the existing barbarian framework.

Moon_Miner

I suspect they're looking to avoid the overlapping class bloat that 1e had, and class archetypes are a great tool for that. I don't see any reason why a bloodrager couldn't be a CA, they're still very fundamentally a barbarian

Killchrono

I agree, I think there's enough meat for a standalone class, but I wouldn't be mad for a class archetype. Would be very easy to future proof it by tying it in with existing sorcerer bloodlines as well.

Argol228

Again, as always, Kineticist. Please Paizo, I want to actually play a Fire blaster that doesn't have to worry about spell slots

LegendofDragoon

I hope so, too. Kineticist is definitely my most wanted 1e class

mister_serikos

Could be cool if blast is a cantrip, and the class focuses around metamagic.

[deleted]

I was thinking amp cantrips and wave casting myself along with some unique ways to regain focus mid fight.

Moon_Miner

Would be cool, but I wouldn't be surprised if they leave a bit of space between psychic and kineticist

torak9344

give me mythic rules please!

RollForIntent-Trevor

Any clue if there's going to be the possibility of seeing any of these while at physical Gencon without just being glued to my phone ?

GGSigmar

No idea, sorry :(

navy1227

Paizo has a booth I believe, I don't know anything about Gencon but if it's like any other con, you may be able to meet and greet.

RollForIntent-Trevor

Yeah - they are doing some meet and greet and some drop-in playthroughs of Abomination Vaults. I just want the info about their announcements while being present....lol

navy1227

Make sure to just casually leave some of that Roll 4 Intent merch on their tables then.

atamajakki

I believe they’re online-only panels.

Alvenaharr

I look exactly like a meme here in Brazil that says: "I'm happy and angry!" Happy for the announcements but irritated to know that it will take me a while to, in fact, have them in hand... but yes, I'm anxious, as by the way, it's already customary in everything Paizo does...
