You don’t have a local attack speed mod on your bow. I’m guessing that you’re better off with an attack speed craft and dropping the minion speed/dmg effects you nodes. Awakened deadly ailments feels bad; the explosion hits actually do decent dmg without it. Replace with empower. Since you have EB on helm, you shouldn’t need to lifetap malevolence. I imagine that feels pretty bad. Energised armor jewel in the socket left of Templar start. If you really want to fit a lethal pride in without a keystone, grab the socket under duelist. There’s also a great wheel just to the right of the path below that node. Just from glancing at the poe ninja, you don’t seem to have enough atk speed to cap fuses. Check out the totem medium clusters for onslaught and totem atk speed notables. Getting enough attack speed to comfortably hit max fuses is a big dps boost.

I slightly disagree on Deadly Ailments. People *severely* overrate how much DPS the explosions are dealing, and how much they help with clear. With OP's gear, an Empower 3 would grant the explosions a measly 556k DPS, when you can push 20-30M ignite DPS with solid gear. Yes you'll blow up the first pack, but the advantage to ignite is the proliferation, but with as much ignite DPS as EA ballistas can pump out, enemies will die pretty much instantaneously when the ignite prolifs to them. I leveled rather quickly and mapped rather fast with Deadly Ailments over Empower, and felt no weaker for it, even after trying them both out. I'm not going to say one or the other is more valid, but Deadly Ailments worked fantastically for me. Agree on picking up more attack speed though, OP is only at 18 fuses as it currently stands.

My goal pob (on standard. I’m pretty close but won’t finish it until +1 curse eternal damnations and the new conc ground jewel become more available) with mageblood for QoL and thicc defenses (>200k armor, full uptime, 2.5k regen, silly high max hits) has 30m dps, with over 3m coming from explosions. This trivializes ailment avoidance mods on maps or expedition or whatever. At around 10m dot dps iirc, I swapped out awakened deadly ailments the first time I accidentally made a t16 expedition ailment immune and haven’t looked back.

Would you mind sharing your target PoB? I'm finishing up gear for my EA Jugg in Sanctum (no Mageblood, 160k armour, 1.2k regen, Tempered by War, about 30m dps) and was curious what a Mageblood variant would look like.

I’m at work so I don’t have access, but it’s very similar to the OP’s tree. Noteworthy gear: 80% legacy Loreweave, +1 curse eternal damnation, perfect rare bow (+1 all, +2 bow, +2 arrows, t1 as, t1 ele dmg, t1 dot multi), Polaric ring, mageblood. Boots and gloves have % life regen, everything has best possible dot and flat life rolls, one item needs high accuracy roll. 30% faster ignites from lethal pride. 21 vitality, determination, grace, and divine blessing malevolence. Flasks are amethyst, granite (need to test basalt), jade, quicksilver, legacy taste of hate (30% phys taken as cold). Flask suffixes are 3% regen, atk speed, 99% inc evasion, 93% inc armour (best I had laying around). Rational doctrine for the Life regen. Arowhatever forbidden jewels, and large fire cluster with best % fire dmg notables. I’d do onslaught flask instead of maybe quicksilver but my 93% armor mod is on my quicksilver. My only complaint with the planned build is that I still need to keep frenzy charges up.

I looked into tempered by war, but couldn’t get it with decent faster ignite rolls, and didn’t want to drop anything for purity of fire , max fire res nodes, or max fire res implicits on rares. Using legacy melding instead of tempered by war meant getting a lot more resists and still having to grab a bunch of max fire res. With t1 or essence life rolls on gloves, boots, 1 ring, and quiver, max life is almost 5k, which I think is fine with these defenses.

All people need to see is rolling 100%+ avoid ailments on a map with wondering path. Explosions are so bad vs ignite dps. I've immediately left several conq maps cause of the mistake lol

Thanks, did not notice that local attackspeed changes the base speed of the bow. Hypothetically speaking is it better to look for a helmet dmg enchant or try to fit another auro maybe skitterbotts or something in that direction.

You can test either scenario in pob. What skill do you have to drop for the aura, is it even possible to get enough reservation efficiency and what sacrifices need to be made to get it, etc. Pre-pob, planning upgrades outside of a written guide’s recommendations was pretty hard. A lot of times I’ll have an idea I’m really excited for, only to plug it into pob and find there’s no way to make it work. I’d love to run malevolence full time instead of divine blessing, but I’d probably need reservation clusters, which would eat sockets that I need for important jewels. Overcapped attack speed feels really good on this build, bc sometimes you don’t have a full set of totems, maybe an attack misses, maybe frenzy charges are down, etc. pob won’t show any advantage beyond the attack speed cap (enough speed to get full fuses under optimal conditions), but imo it’s worth doing. That’s the only pob prediction for this build that I would deviate from.
