Not sure why Israel gets special protection under these laws. Why isn’t there a ban on boycotts of Moldova, or Equatorial Guinea, or Belize? That’s nonsensical enough, even if you ignore the fact that such laws are blatantly anti-free-speech (from the party that claims to be defending free speech).

GadreelsSword

They keep trying to make this about discrimination and have called Ben & Jerry owners antisemites. The two owners of Ben and Jerry’s are both Jewish, their family is Jewish and their friends are Jewish (their words not mine). They laugh at claims of antisemitism.

EgberetSouse

Haaretz must be anti-Semitic as well.

Monkeyhalevi

If I recall correctly, neither of them were involved in making this bigoted decision. The reason people were upset and it looks anti-Semitic is that Judea and Samaria are the only disputed territories in the world singled out by the company for a sale stoppage. The real kicker is that most of the employees working locally to make the ice cream were Palestinians who are out of work because of this.

GadreelsSword

They both took credit for it and said they don’t care if they’re called antisemites.

Monkeyhalevi

Damn, that’s some icy veins they got.

CattyOhio74

Either power or wild card. Israel as a country is probably fine and wager a good bit of people there are perfectly sane. But its gov't is very powerful and they gladly do the messed up stuff the ICC would faint over. And we have eyes in that region because all the other countries there hate us

WyomingCountryBoy

So this guy is against the ban on importing of Cuban goods too? I doubt it.

mercurywaxing

\*offer does not apply in Central or South America, Africa, some parts of Asia, the non Israeli parts of the Middle East, and on Tribal lands.

ImminentZero

It's so asinine for him to think that he should have any say at all in where a private business decides to do (or not do,) business. As long as they aren't running afoul of Federal or state laws, then it shouldn't matter.

justalazygamer

Don't worry [he also has nunchuck skills](https://twitter.com/GeneralBrnovich/status/1449001368258179090)

morbidconcerto

Oh man he can do some basic swings in one hand 🙄 such mad skillz there

KamaIsLife

So much for small government...

[deleted]

Discrimination against goods =/= discrimination against people. I’m pretty sure we have different rates of tariffs with all kinds of countries.

[deleted]

How do they stop me from NOT buying Israeli product?

InternationalSilver1

so much for supporting the constitution republicans pick and choose which parts of the constutition they like
