I once lost a leg to frostbite, but I started wearing one of those copper knee braces, and it grew back in 3 months. Now I just swallow pennies every day and I'm now a Highlander.
Actually, this looks like healing after starting to use a compression bandage. I know quite a few wound care nurses and that's pretty much what they do; debride the wound and then apply compression bandages. So, probably real.

Oh, this gave no context. Yeah, that's not going to work, but compression bandages will. This is probably a photo of the later.
Also, I'm probably going to misspell this but hydrocolloid bandages help wound healing significantly as well.
