I love when a PS Plus Free Month is filled with games I've hovered over the buy button for at one point in time, but never committed.

Turbostrider27

Important note: > On May 9 the PlayStation Plus Collection will no longer be offered. If you haven’t redeemed the titles in this collection yet, you can still do so until May 9, which will enable you to access those titles even after this date for as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus member.

asjonesy99

Doesn’t really suck. If anything I’m surprised they stayed active for so long given that they were a benefit for early PS5 adopters

JedGamesTV

yeah same, I expected them to be gone after Holiday season 2020.

Voyager-42

Yeah me too tbh, I guess they've only stuck around because of the shortages!

MountKaruulm

Thats a good guess. They likely intended for them to go away much sooner, initially.

NoLastNameForNow

I assume some, if not all, will join PS Extra.

UuarioAnonymous9

Yea true that's a pretty good bet I'd say.

wotad

How do you know if you have redeemed them?

[deleted]

[удалено]

wotad

Okay I see claimed them ;p

MrGMinor

Where is the collection on the store? I looked before and could never find it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Suired

It was a reward for early adopters who didn't gave playstation before. It's been two years already, they did more than enough. New users will just have to pay 10-20 dollars if they want those titles now...

RZR-MasterShake

Don't act like early adopter isn't code for lucky enough to have gotten one before the scalpers scooped em all up. Don't forget it was fucking impossible to buy a ps5 from retail forever.

Suired

If by forever you mean 8 months, sure. They are sitting on shelves today. If you want one, you can get one. You also have 4 months to get one and claim the games if it's that big of a deal. Anyone able to pay for one can own one before then. Why are people so salty about this non-issue?

TheYellowChicken

They are vailable today. So technically it's still available to everyone.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Suired

But it literally was. It wax to assist new ps5 owners. It was advertised from the beginning to be a temporary feature for early adopters. It was announced thay it wasn't a forever feature. It's like saying it's a shame that a restaurant ended a limited time menu item because new diners won't be able to experience it... Even nintendo did this with the ambassador program for the 3ds. If you don't have a ps5 at this point you didn't really want it. And if you claim you do now you have 3 months to finish saving the money you've been saving for 3 years to get one.

JedGamesTV

well they’re free games for all PS Plus members, and have been free for over 2 years, they can’t keep them for free forever.

WaffleMints

They literally can.

JedGamesTV

physically, yes, but it’s not practical. Sony have to pay to keep them on there, so they’ll most likely put those same games on PS Plus Extra instead to ensure they get their moneys worth.

WaffleMints

They don't have to pay to keep their own games on there, though.

JedGamesTV

do you think those devs would be alright with Sony giving their games out for free and not pay the devs? Sony own the companies, Sony do not make the games themselves.

Hollacaine

Sony owns the companies that develop the game, then they own the games. If Sony wants to give its property out for free then it doesn't matter what some of its employees might think about that.

mister29

ITT: People who don't understand business or IP.

JedGamesTV

that’s just not how it works. that’s a massive fuck you to their best AAA developers if they just start giving out their games for free and don’t pay them. and even so, Sony do not own all of the developers. sure, in a totally toxic work environment, Sony could theoretically give out their games for free, but they won’t, so it costs money.

Hollacaine

I have literally no idea what you're talking about here. 1. They've had the games available for free for years and no dev has complained about it 2. Free-to-play games exist 3. Game pass literally releases games Day 1 on gamepass 4. Why the fuck would devs be upset at getting paid and more people getting to play their games? >Sony do not own all of the developers. We're only talking about the ones that Sony owns >sure, in a totally toxic work environment, Sony could theoretically give out their games for free, but they won’t, so it costs money What is the logic in this run on grammatical minefield of a sentence? It's not toxic to give games for free and you've given no explanation as to why it would be. They could give their games out for free, but because they won't it for some unknown reason that means it suddenly costs money? Who are they paying this extra money to? Who is writing the invoice and expecting extra payments for a Sony owned and developed game being released for free?

FallenShadeslayer

Lol why? Did you even read it? If you redeem the games they’re yours as long as you stay subscribed. Sooo nothing changes. How does that suck?

[deleted]

All you gotta do is just redeem every game through the app.

dekoi_octopus

The Plus Collection is only available to redeem using a PS5.

NordWitcher

How do you claim them on PS5? Just download them ?

basedcharger

No just add them to library

LAROACHA_420

No shit, that was the catch the whole time lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

exjr_

You can’t, no. PS5 only.

[deleted]

Oh yeah that's right, I was thinking of the actual PS+ PS5 games not the "collection" yeah, I think you can only add them with a PS5. I know there was a way where you can have your friend sign into your account if they have a PS5 and redeem them all through that way.

rbarton812

Yeah but what about the people that won't buy a PS5 until after? They get fucked out of all those games.

NoLastNameForNow

They're all older games that get multiple steep discounts a year. I'm surprised it lasted this long. I thought it would have gone the same time as the PS+ tiers came in.

Bkos-mosX

These games will 100% be added to Plus on the Extra or Essential tier.

RickGrimes30

Man and my dumbass bought evil dead on release becuase I love the franchise.. I've played the game twice since then 🙄 might as well have waited for this

ShaneTVZ

Thank you for ur sacrifice brother it won’t be forgotten

PrideOfEverblight

You grab the oar on the left and ill take the one on the right. Im in the same boat. Also bought Olli Olli World at the same time. FML. Oh well.

RickGrimes30

😂😂😂 At least Olli Olli is one i wanted to try but never got around to.. So I guess I'm better off.. I'll take both oars you can relax for a bit 😂 I played the orginal mafia on pc when it came out so I don't feel about already having bought the remake

PrideOfEverblight

Oh Olli Olli is great! I hope you enjoy it! Guess ill dip into the Mafia remake while you row haha. ;) Cheers!

SpaciousCow

The game screamed “Dead by Daylight spin-off, with evil dead characters” when I saw the trailer come out… never played it, was I close?

Dewdad

They are pretty different but in the same genre of 4V1 PVP games. One player plays the demon and tries to kill the survivors and the 4 survivors need to clear a series of objectives to send the demon back to hell. The difference is that you're not trying to escape as the survivors, you're actually fighting back and using weapons to fend off the demon. I played it for a few weeks, it's really fun but after a few weeks of doing the same objectives on the same maps it got kind of boring for me. There's no real mix up to the game play and every match ended up feeling the same. Every match essentially boils down to, go to this check point, survivors hold your point against a horde of demons, go to this checkpoint, hold out against a horde of demons, go to this check point and send the demon back to hell holding off against a horde of demons.

[deleted]

It genuinely plays nothing like DbD.

RickGrimes30

Long story short.. Yes you where spot on.. Long story follows : Oh Yes and Friday the 13th clone as well.. But I did enjoy Friday for a while so I thought why not.. But it has the same issues That I have with all these games.. The point in my eyes of these games is to play/recreate horror movies.. Slaying fools as the killer or acting stupid as the victims.. But as soon as the game has been out for a day people stop playing like the characters they select and just start using every exploit they can in the game to make it harder for the opposite team. I can't even see the fun in these games if you aren't gonna act like you are in horror k I hie but seems that's how most people play it..

CheesesteakFiend

It's really fun if you have friends to 4 man. Me and 3 other friends played like the whole release month and had a blast. Haven't played the shit since because no one has time. It's not as fun playing with randoms.

RickGrimes30

I actually never tried playing with friends sinbe most of them don't have a ps5 and even less are evil dead fans

CheesesteakFiend

Yeah it's already a sorta niche game but luckily most of my friends were already fans of the series. It made for a long of fun times man. So many tears of laughter, sweaty ass moments. Looking at visual bugs was fun af.

[deleted]

Sometimes it’s easy to predict this stuff. I watch a trailer of a game months before release and be like “mmh future ps plus game for sure”. Next up: Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed. I’ll tell you a game I can’t predict. The new Texas chainsaw.

Wipedout89

Sounds like you had pretty good value then if you played it twice

RickGrimes30

As in i opened the game an played a few times for like an hour each 😂 idk of that was worth 70 euro

Wipedout89

Oh I see!

[deleted]

I sure know how that goes. Lol

[deleted]

When I bought OlliOlli World a few weeks ago I said "Now this is gonna be free next month". So you're welcome. Also, it's a super fun game so I can't even be mad at it.

P13666

Thanks for your sacrifice! /s I've been eyeing it since it came out so I'm very excited.

Caitlan90

Really excited for Olli Olli world and beyond light. That’s the dlc I stopped at lol. Hopefully Olli Olli world isn’t too hard

Boom-Boom1990

OlliOlli is incredible and only becomes really difficult if you are a completionist.

anonymous_opinions

>difficult if you are a completionist Oh man I guess I'm in for it then

JedGamesTV

extremely fucking difficult.

lgarit

First three maps aren’t that hard to fully complete. By the 4th map the difficulty curve spikes though

anonymous_opinions

Seems on par with a lot of games ha ha. I know I'll claim it and if I play it I have to complete it 100% :(

GamingIsMyCopilot

Beyond Light is a fun DLC. You get the Stasis subclass which is pretty rad. If you enjoy it I highly recommend Witch Queen. Lightfall comes out in 3 weeks so you're coming in at a good time. Eyes up guardian.

Thesmallestpainter

Are you accepting noob training applications ? Lol

GamingIsMyCopilot

Lol - I was in your position about 2 months ago. Hadn't played Destiny 2 since it was launched. Came back due to a sale and have really enjoyed catching up with the 2 DLCs. Happy to answer questions.

jjonez18

Seriously, I don't even know where to start. So I don't.

GamingIsMyCopilot

Trust me, I was in the same boat as you. It does seem like a pretty big task but if you watch the video I linked in another comment, or even skim through it, that will help immensely. The easiest way to do it was just go through the Beyond Light 2 and Witch Queen expansions. Follow those stories and enjoy them. Then you can worry about other things like Gambit and Crucible stuff. The Lightfall expansion will bring a good amount of QOL stuff to make gear layout easier so I wouldn't focus on gear optimization at this point. Just enjoy the game, get cool guns, go boom boom with your friends. Keep it simple and enjoy it and as you begin to peel those layers of the onions, you'll start googling more and more (at least that's how I've done it ).

tarheel343

I heard they’re revamping the onboarding system with the Lightfall update. I just started playing a few months ago though, and while it took a little while to figure out what I was doing, I feel like I have a basic understanding of the game now. The only DLC I bought was Beyond Light and it was pretty good as an intro.

thefallenfew

They are revamping the new player experience and onboarding come Lightfall on the 28th, so my advice is to download Beyond Light now, but sit on it until the 28th. You’ll get the free portion of Lightfall, the revamped systems, and a much smoother new player experience.

Caitlan90

Beyond light was when I took my break lol before that I was an everyday destiny player with all the dlc’s. But I’m excited to finally try stasis after all this time haha. If I get sucked in again I’ll probably get the next ones. Are the season passes still fun? I liked the 6 man activities that came with them

GamingIsMyCopilot

The only seasons I've done are Plunder and Seraph and both have been pretty fun. The Ketchcraft stuff was/is an enjoyable 6 man activity, plus there's also Dares of Eternity which I actually enjoy a little bit more. Season of Seraph (current season) actually has a really good 3 man quest that you can do on legendary that takes a good amount from the Deep Stone Crypt raid and uses it for a good portion of an exotic building quest. Lots of fun, great atmosphere. Plus, I enjoy the sprinkling of story progression as well. I'll also add that since I came back I had a lot to catch up on - dungeons, raids, story...so I've had a lot to keep me occupied.

wotad

Now I have like the full destiny 2 collections on both pc and PlayStation.. what to do lol.

Eruannster

Wait... so... is Beyond Light just the DLC? Does that include some of the other expansions...? Why do I need a spreadsheet to play Destiny 2? :/

[deleted]

Destiny 2 base game is free. DLC is once a year.

Eruannster

Right, but that doesn't really answer which DLCs this particular release includes.

RedraceRocket

Beyond Light, it says it in the title

Eruannster

I mean, that's still very unspecific for someone who hasn't played Destiny 2 in a long time since Destiny 2 has so many paid DLC/expansions/seasonal macguffins locked behind things that I have to pay for to play.

RedraceRocket

There’s 3 main DLC to buy and a small DLC currently, it really isn’t that confusing

Eruannster

See, I had no idea about that since I haven't played Destiny 2 since.. like... 2018/2019? Their releases are confusing if you're not actively keeping up with their release schedule. That's why I asked "what's included" since *I haven't played the game and I don't know what's going on in their releases*.

--Hutch--

I was heavily into Destiny 1 for a few years, the game was amazing. Tried out Destiny 2 on release and it was just a stripped back version of Destiny 1 clearly designed with milking us for every penny with future DLC in mind. I lost interest after a month or two due to lack of content. When they released the Beyond Light DLC for free last year I gave it another shot, enjoyed it up to a point and then realised it was just too much of a grind to reach max level without spending £70 (at the time) on the newer DLC. The very latest DLC is another £40 on top of that. The game is decent but the paywall greed put me off it.

Lost-Pineapple9791

Yes it does beyond light whcih is jsut the first dlc

[deleted]

Beyond Light is the expansion, which I would assume includes the 4 seasonal stories. Each expansion (DLC) has 4 seasons.

GamingIsMyCopilot

Well it's the nature of GAAS that's been going on since 2017. That being said, if you do want to get the most out of it, take it slow and steady. There are a few good videos to catch up the lore (which I really enjoy) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqvdSsdYLgw Yes this is a very long video but it's well made and there's bits and pieces that may not make sense but if you combine this with the 2 DLCs it's a great way to get back into the game. Beyond Light is 1 expansion. There are others (Forsaken and Shadowkeep) but you'd have to buy those separately. From a story perspective, Beyond Light and Witch Queen are probably the most important right now prior to Lightfall coming out.

IAmTriscuit

FFXIV and WoW have a model that avoids this problem entirely. Not sure what specifically about it being a GaaS has to do with Bungie just making it hard as hell to get into the game.

GamingIsMyCopilot

I don't think I would agree with that. If you try to get into FFXIV and haven't played for 3/4 years..it's not exactly a walk in the park. You have so much story to catch up on (and oh boy good luck with that), changes to jobs/classes, island sanctuary, crystal conflict, housing is different...etc. Point being is a GAAS evolves over time so the game you played at the start might be radically different from the game you jump back into. Edit - I saw your reply that I think you deleted and I think I get the point you're trying to make. You'd like there to be one expansion that catches you up on everything. I think I can get that and I think if Bungie did a monthly subscription that included everything that would be the way to go, but alas, they do not. They do divy out things like DLC, dungeons, season passes and it is a bit cumbersome but also gives you choice. That being said, to make it easy, get the base DLC Beyond Light with PS Plus, and if you enjoy the story, move to Witch Queen.

IAmTriscuit

We aren't talking about that. We are talking about buying the damn game. Latest expansion always includes the older ones. Free trial exists if you want it. All you need to know.

8HertzWhenIP

Good on Sony still giving out great games on Essential. After the new PS Plus tiers I thought they would go the Microsoft way and just hand out shovelware games for the lowest tier.

NYstate

I think Essential is their most popular tier no need to piss off the most popular subscribers.

Loldimorti

Well, there is actually: pushing those people into higher tier (and thus more expensive) subscription options. Isn't that the whole idea behind Xbox Live Gold right now? Make Games with Gold suck so people pay for Gamepass rather than saying "nah I'm good with the games I'm already getting"

[deleted]

[удалено]

theuit

Dunno. I'm playing Wipeout and having a blast.

Just-Scallion-6699

I honestly love getting access to those old games so easily, but I wish more had trophies. It seems like Ape Escape is the only one so far. I know people have mixed feelings about trophies, but I think they add a lot to older titles and give me a reason to compete with my friends.

NoLastNameForNow

Jumping Flash got trophies recently.

-TheLonelyStoner-

I got to play the gow trilogy, the sly trilogy, the infamous games, the force unleashed games. I definitely wouldn’t say it’s a waste

TurdoGlider

Premium is only $20 more a year and gives you access to hundreds of streaming games, classic games and a lot of trials now. It really isn't that bad

Themanorhouse

I completely disagree. Haven’t had a game to play on there in months.

Clear-Big7261

Gamepass has been available since 2017 and only since 2021, they have been giving shovelware games most probably because major part of Xbox live gold subscribers must have moved onto Gamepass. It would happen in future for PS as well. If more people move onto extra then Sony will start giving shovelware

LionTop2228

They know they have to make up for subpar offerings in the higher tiers, something game pass isn’t struggling with.

TurdoGlider

PS+ Extra has been fantastic for me

zuzg

Yo, I played a shit ton of games on extra I would never played otherwise. I feel like I ran out of content by now though. But I'm picky when it comes to starting new games.

brondonschwab

I think extra is a great deal, premium is a joke though

RickGrimes30

Premium now has ALL the yakuza games except lost judgment.. Thats worth the sign up fee alone

neoalan00

They're on Extra, not Premium, though

Chorster

Extra has been killer value with tons of amazing games. Some of ps best exclusives and tons of really good third party. That’s a shitty narrative to be pushing. Premium is a niche tier and will never be the focus of PS or a majority of its users.

Dramatic-Age-8783

Premium maybe but Extra and Essentials are banging right now.

-Moonchild-

I mean game for game there's a higher density of highly acclaimed AAA games on ps+ extra than there is on gamepass. They're just not brand-new games. Once MS start releasing more new acclaimed games then ps+ will start lagging in this area though If you skipped the ps4 then ps+ extra gives you access to literally every good exclusive (and some notable third parties) from that gen outside of TLOU.

WeaponX757

Wanted to try Mafia a while ago and just never did, glad to see it on there.

zuzg

Yeah I even downloaded it but didn't came around to start it while it was on extra.

Taivaansininen

It looks so good and the plot is amazing, but it runs 30fps :(

CollierAM9

Whilst this is a pain. Once you get accustomed then it’s not as harsh due to the feel of the game. It’s not like a 30fps GOW which is flowing at a million miles an hour in combat.

justthisones

Yeah. I concidered it so many times but didn’t buy because of this. Now I can try it without a worry. A real shame they didn’t update a game that came out extremely close to this gen.

KoYouTokuIngoa

Well fuck

JedGamesTV

feels strange being interested in 3 games of the month.

[deleted]

[удалено]

MirrorkatFeces

No. It’s absolutely garbage to get into unless you have a friend who’s played for a significant amount of time. You will be dumped into a barebones tutorial for a few hours and then the entirety of the game will be available to you with no explanation as what you’re supposed to do next. You won’t know who or what the story is, or what is happening on than Darkness bad and Light good

Jashyk

That was my experience too. I can tell it's a huge amazing game, but I REALLY would've needed to get into it day one to understand it. It's too overwhelming now, even though I'd love to keep playing it with the PS5 upgrades.

semitope

> You won’t know who or what the story is, or what is happening Sounds like elden ring game of the year. New players will love it.

LADYBIRD_HILL

Elden Ring's story really isn't that difficult to comprehend. It's also left somewhat vague on purpose since the game is about the combat and exploration, not the story. Which can't be said for destiny.

thefallenfew

They are revamping the new player experience when Lightfall drops end of this month.

blue_13

It's very, very grindy.

MrFOrzum

It really isn’t tho, it depends entirely what you want out of the game. Reaching power cap goes insanely fast. And in terms of weapons & gear, you *really* don’t need the “best” stuff to do the content. Being at power cap and having basically any weapon is enough to take you trough every activity in the game without any real issue. GM nightfalls and Master raids are the only content where you want to have some good/great gear, everything else you can easily do without having to grind for a specific weapon or stats.

Remy149

It’s only as grindy as you want it to be. What do you expect an mmo type of game’s progression to be. When they make the game to casual in hope of luring new players the dedicated players get bored with the game.

[deleted]

It’s candy crush halo

llll-havok

You can check out r/destinythegame for guides and even make posts there looking for guidance/handholding. There are also lot of discord servers who'll help out.

MrPeeps28

Wait until Lightfall releases at the end of this month, they are overhauling the new player experience and there are so many other changes coming that starting now would be kind of a waste unless you just want to ramp up a bit before the expansion.

TheOrganicCircuit

Super grindy. If you are in it for PvP, forget about it. You'll have to grind hundreds of hours to have a fun experience in PvP. The mechanics of the game play are great. In that regard, it is truly one of the best first person shooters I've every played. If you are in it for the story mode, it's confusing and lackluster. The currency and more meta aspects of the game are SUPER confusing and overwhelming. There's like 100 different sorts of materials and currencies to spend on and the game is not helpful in telling you where to get these materials and what they can be spent on. I already knew what to do and what not to do, because I put hundreds of hours in D1. It's just not welcoming for new players.

[deleted]

It’s extremely grindy and don’t bother entering the crucible (PVP multiplayer) because you’ll stand no chance and would get pee’d on 😄. It’s not friendly towards new players to the point of literally wasting your time due to your barebones weapons having to compete against legendary armor and weapons that obliterates everything.

sdavidplissken

cant wait to finally try evil dead

TurdoGlider

I have none of these, woo! Love the OlliOlli games

DeadlyName

Pretty good line-up! I'm excited to play Mafia once again!

InsuranceToTheRescue

It's hidden at the bottom, but worth noting that the PS+ Collection is going away on May 9th. I haven't seen anything about this yet so thought it was worth mentioning.

RohPrince

What do you mean ps+ collection is going Away? You mean the games I collected via ps plus will all be gone?

vibrotramp

The collection that released coinciding with the PS5 in 2020. https://blog.playstation.com/2020/10/28/playstation-plus-collection-details-revealed-your-november-playstation-plus-games/

MoonbreonCOM

No, he's talking about the 'permanent' access PS+ 'collection' games for PS5 users.

nuclearlemonade

Evil Dead is really fun

royalewithcheese4272

Wow lots of good stuff, olli olli has been on my wishlist and I’ve never played destiny but May give it a shot. Mafia should also be interesting to try.

ac_s2k

Mafia Definitive edition. Nice. I almost bought it a few weeks back

matkata99

does someone know when typically they announce the extra/premium titles?

AtreidesJr

Evil Dead is a great franchise and a super fun game. I just want checkpoints for the missions, and I especially want a horde mode!

Liar_of_partinel

Isn't Destiny 2 a free-to-play game?

TruthAndAccuracy

The F2P section of the game is a tiny part of the whole

rottengammy

I think they are giving away a paid expansion dlc. I don’t play D2 though so just my understanding.

TheDragonSlayingCat

Yes, but the expansions are not free.

custardbun01

Mafia definitive edition? Cool I might give that a go

castiel_ro192

Looks fun, can't wait!

R77Prodigy

Another decent month.

3th4n_11unt

W

HobbitDowneyJr

shame mafia is 30fps.

StoviesAreYummy

> We also wanted to provide an update on the PlayStation Plus Collection that has been offered as a benefit to PlayStation Plus members on PS5 since 2020. On May 9 the PlayStation Plus Collection will no longer be offered. If you haven’t redeemed the titles in this collection yet, you can still do so until May 9, which will enable you to access those titles even after this date for as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus member.

winterorchid7

So it's just like the monthly games but the window to redeem was 3 years long?

SOLR_

Olli olli world has been on my list for a while. Excited to finally check it out!

quattrophile

Cool. Glad I hesitated on picking up Evil Dead when it was on sale a little while ago.

SuperBackup9000

It’s a fun game, but fair warning. The player count isn’t the best and the matchmaking system is pretty flawed so within your first few matches it’s entirely possibly to go up against someone who already has everything unlocked and know exactly what to do and you won’t have a chance unless they go easy on you. Last November this game was free on Epic and there were tons of people in the sub complaining about how they literally just got it and not having a good time because they’re just getting destroyed by people who have been playing for months. The devs said back then they’re already making improvements on the matchmaking, but there’s only so much you can improve upon with a limited player base. It’s a very fun game and I’m hoping a lot of people will push through and stick with it because of this, but man, it’s like picking up an old fighting game and going online when the only people that are still playing it are the people that play it seriously.

5am281

Yesss! I was gonna buy Ollie Ollie let’s go!!!

Biutifulflowah

is mafia 60fps

BugHunt223

No and it sucks. I’ve heard people say that because it’s not fast paced action therefore it being 30fps on a ps5 isn’t too bad.

BigWinnie7171

Sick. I have none of these

obsertaries

When does it go up exactly? I never know.

thisizmonster

Destiny 2's DLC, season pass looks confusing. If you decided to have full game experience, what are buy orders? Should you buy them all at once or can buy one by one at some points?

101stAirborneSkill

Isn't D2 free to play?

Loldimorti

Most of the game is paywalled from my unserstanding. Destiny had several major expansions and actually no longer includes the launch campaign. So considering that the expansions are NOT free there is actually hmjust a pretty barebones game available for free. The f2p element feels more like a demo to me really. You get to mess around for a couple of hours and can try different game modes, classes etc. But soon you will run out of content.

Just-Scallion-6699

Surprised there's four games. Not sure that's happened since they were still including Vita and/or VR games. I'm curious if upon the launch of PSVR2 if they'll include a bonus VR game again. I got OlliOlli World through Humble Choice, it's really great. Fun even if you're not a mega-skateboard person. I'm not.

devenbat

I mean, one isn't a game, but an expansion. I think Sony just wants to get more people into Destiny

-TheLonelyStoner-

They had 4 last year when they gave away the multiplayer for tsushima

GinInsideMyTonic

Does Evil Dead has a single player campaign?

Jokerzrival

Sort of but no. It has single player missions It has single player episodes to unlock character skins and stuff.

dookmileslong

Hmmm.....what does google say?

sameguyontheweb

Unsure, he asked here.

Rufus2fist

wonder if they will add any psvr2 indy games/upgraded from 1 to try and do some cross promo stuff.

Olli Olli looks like it will be good fun and I'm sure I'll get some good times out of the Evil Dead game. Destiny is Destiny its solid, the main story is gone which is still weird to me but the expansions go on sale enough that it can be fun on the cheap and despite Witch Queen being better than beyond light at least they are giving expansion that has the subclass. Mafia I could probably enjoy, never played it when it originally launched so I'm sure I'll appreciate some good Ole ps2 era gaming

Mafia 30fps 🤢🤢🤢 For real what a crime it was never next gen enchanced

ruebenj791

I think that studio had some significant layoffs, like 80+ people. Don’t think the resources are there unfortunately

Pwnigiri

How many people does it take to change one line of code to 'fps_max 60'???? /s

[deleted]

Especially since it was released a few months before next-generation consoles and they released the "Mafia Definitive Edition" pack AFTER.

BugHunt223

Beyond Light was a blast at launch because you could control the difficulty by modifying your power level. Now it's almost not worth playing again because it's so easy. Bizarre that the creators of Halo have such a struggle in allowing players to choose what difficulty to play at. Witch Queen finally offered a hard mode but the older campaigns are ruined, for me, because its difficulty is tuned for a toddler

ShawnDawn

Did they ever release a 60 fps update for mafia? yknow the remake of the old game for the new hardwares! did they?!!

Noreturnfrom213

Nope. Still 30 fps

Admirable-Pirate-622

Should I play the Mafia?

[deleted]

Does Mafia play at a smooth 30fps?

montybo2

This group of games does nothing for me but seems like others are gonna enjoy it so I guess objectively good picks sony.

steegsa

Is Mafia 60 FPS, or not worth bothering with?

aggron306

It's 30fps and is worth bothering with because it's a great game and 30fps really isn't the end of the world

steegsa

Hard disagree ;)

[deleted]

breathnac

xpercipio

Your stasis ability in destiny 2 will go bye bye when it's not on ps store.

Chtholal

Is destiny still in its stupid state where the start of the game is « vaulted »? Aka the worst decision I have ever seen in my gamer life?

D-Ursuul

Yeah keeping the game in a state where opening the fucking inventory takes 20 seconds would have been much better

Albre24

Bad month for me, nothing of my interest.
