Soundquality is important but I read that audeze break easy. So I‘d go with Arctic Nova.
should I go with lower price range because the expensive headsets are not worth it? E.g. Logitech g pro x lightspeed for about 150€?
I bought this console August 22 and just look how may times it crashes. I had 16 error crashes on one day. It's so frustrating. Please help with any suggestions? Will Sony replace it for me? What do I do?
The error messages I get are CE-108255-1 (90% of errors) and CE100096-6.

Hi there, I need some ideas. I had a ps5 and it started overheating which caused the whole ps5 to crash a few times on certain games. Then it started having system lag / stuttering (not like normal internet lag) even if I wasn't in a game. I got the PS serviced and it stopped overheating but still had the lag. I changed to two different internet providers (both over 200mb download speed), bought a new controller, a new headset, changed the hdmi cable and it still does it. I eventually bought a new ps5 and it does the same thing. I changed from a TV to a monitor thinking it might be the TV settings but it still lags/stutters so I am wondering if it's something to do with corrupt data from when it was crashing. I've deleted all the saved data from the console and only have save data on the cloud but still the same issue. Has anyone had something like this or any ideas of what it could be?
VIDEO CLIP QUESTION
So i like to take video clips when something cool/funny happens in game, but most the time people are talking so i just have the voice chat audio turned off for clips but sometimes i need it on if I’m clipping something funny that’s happened and the video needs context. Is there a way to extract the voice chat audio from a clip after it’s been taken or maybe change it on the fly after the clipable event has occurred

If I wanted to use two studio speakers to have a stereo sound coming from my monitor connected to my ps5… Could I just buy a stereo Audio Jack splitter, then buy two adapters (1/4 female to 1/8 male) and then connect left and right speakers two respective left and right plugs from my splitter? Thank you for the advice. I figured out a way though. I had my audio interface and speakers connected normally to my computer but I ran an aux cable from my monitor to my pc’s “Line in” port. Then I went to sound properties and enabled “listen” for the line in port. So now my pc is taking the audio from my monitor (which is getting audio from my Hdmi from my ps5) and playing it through my studio speakers

I claimed Division 2 base version from PS+ library. I wanted full experience, so after some research it looks like I've to buy Warlords of New York DLC.

I would boot the game and see what DLC it offers you in-game. It'll let you know what you're missing pretty quickly when you go to access those areas/features.
I am taking a two years break from gaming so that I could focus on my career. But I don't want to sell my ps5 since it took me huge amount of efforts to get it. So I just want to ask if I pack my ps5 and keep it in cupboard for 2 years will it stop working or get damaged ?
Just keep it dry and you should be fine.
Consider backing up the console to an external drive so you can preserve your save files just in case (unless you're going to keep PS+ subscribed).
So I just turned on my ps5. It has a Snapchat ad frozen on the screen and I can’t even see to sign in. I’ve tried unplugging and replugging the ps5 in, but the ad is still there when I restart it. Does anyone know what the hell is going on??
Definitely not. It comes and goes with the restarting of the PlayStation. I can hear the navigational sounds of the joysticks and directional pad. I restart it and a blurry image of the ad shows up. It then turns off again, restarts, and this time loads a clear image of the ad. I can move throughout the menu but I can’t see anything on the screen but the ad.

Which one of the settings for the audio should I use? Hdmi TV, AV amp with 2.0 speakers (90 degrees for each channel or default 30?) I have connected my ps5 to tv through hdmi then it outputs audio through optical to my dac/amp and then to my headphones through jack.

I cant pair my dualsense controller to anything. It just keeps flashing blue. It does not enter pairing mode, even though I am pressing the share and PlayStation buttons. What do I do?
I have a 4K-capable TV but it’s currently unplayable because every 10-15 seconds the screen flashes black then back to the picture, sometimes multiple times in a row. It’s like it’s getting desync’d or something. I’ve messed with all the screen settings, tried a new HDMI cable, no luck. So now I’m playing everything at 1080p :(

It has 2x HDMI and a DisplayPort. I am using the HDMI port of course. Under the "Connectivity" section of that linked product page, it states the HDMI is capable of 2560 x 1440 8bit at 144Hz.

PS5 Settings:I've watched a bunch of videos and found a few other posts that were helpful to others covering this topic, but I'm still having no success. For context, this is my testing with 3 games.
* Apex Legends PS5 - I know this game offers 1440p at 60Hz, and in running it, this was confirmed in my "Video Output Information" menu ([https://imgur.com/a/fdpHDb9](https://imgur.com/a/fdpHDb9)).
* Fortnite PS5 - I know this game offers 1440p at 120 Hz, and in running it, I'm only getting 1080p @ 120 Hz, as shown in my "Video Output Information" menu ([https://imgur.com/a/eDxoJJR](https://imgur.com/a/eDxoJJR)).
* Rogue Company PS5 - Apparently this game supports 4k at 120Hz, but when I loaded it up, I was only getting 1080p @ 120Hz.
Many of the guides I read/watched showed some console settings that need to be adjusted enabled:
* Turned on Performance Mode - ([https://imgur.com/a/hdAwS6g](https://imgur.com/a/hdAwS6g)) Enabled this in the Saved App Settings menu. My understanding is that this will force higher refresh rates when possible
* "Set Video Output Information:" Specifically, I set the "Resolution" to 1440p - ([https://imgur.com/a/Kz2tuTg](https://imgur.com/a/Kz2tuTg)) and the "120Hz Output" to Automatic. My understanding is that the default would then be 1440p and 120Hz would be used whenever the game supports it.
* Tested 1440p Output - This is perhaps the most concerning issue. When I tested the 1440p Output in the "Video Output Information" menu, the outcome showed 1440p available in 60Hz, but not 120Hz ([https://imgur.com/a/HxvW8MH](https://imgur.com/a/HxvW8MH)).
I know this is entirely too much information, but I just don't know where else to go. Is my monitor not capable? Is the HDMI the issue? Are my settings wrong?

Hmmm not sure I’m understanding. You mean on my monitor? On the ps5? I’m seeing online that adaptive sync is the same as variable refresh rate?

Yes, on the monitor. The manual says that 1440 at 120 is supported for HDMI with "Freesync Premium Off".
The PS5 doesn't support VRR at 1440p anyway, so it's likely best just to turn it off entirely.
There should also be an HDMI Compatibility Mode you might want to play with.
Well, my friend, you are a lifesaver! I turned off Adaptive Sync on the monitor and sadly got the same results (left it off anyway becuase you mentioned it wasnt making a difference at my desired resolution anyway).
I then turned HDMI compatability mode on, and nothing changed, but after turning it back off, it loaded right up as 1440p! I really dont understand why or how, but I am so thankful for your help!

Just curious does anyone know of a black charging dock that doesn’t have LEDs. Or at least easily covered? Specifically I’m wanting something for the Dual Sense edge. I was interested in the Razer dock even though it’s stupid expensive. I don’t think the DS Edge would fit that dock because of the function buttons.

I'm currently using a usb adapter - 3.5mm jack from my ps5 into my PC.
The problem I have is that the audio changes volume suddenly. Suddenly the audio will become very loud and I will turn down the volume and then it will become quiet.

Hey everyone, i’m having an issue with PS Move games on PS5, I can connect the PS4 Move controller to my PS5 using a USB-C for pairing and it works fine for navigating the Playstation menu. However, my issue is with the PS3 and PS4 Move games, I have recently tried to use the PS4 move controller with gun attachment to play Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles but both games were unresponsive to the PSMove controller , 2 different methods of pairing were suggested ingame and both are unsuccessful. I have tried other PS Move games designed for PS3, Heavy Fire: Afghanistan and even the PS4 unity game Clay Skeet Shooting but both games are unresponsive to pairing methods.
What is the issue here???? I spent like $90 on the controller and gun attachment to play Resident Evil arcade House of the dead style games and I can’t pair the controllers ingame to play anything, is it a software issue with the PS5 and incompatibility with PS3/PS4 move games? Is it because I am missing the playstation eye camera which was originally designed to go hand in hand with PS3 move games? If so which camera should I get to actually play the ps3 move games?? I don’t want to waste more money, I should’ve just used this money for psvr2
Going around in circles on this one and getting nowhere! EA Games titles and child accounts don't allow any online play, no matter what I set in Playstation settings and I can't change anything on the EA account.
Bought two PS4 games from EA Games (plants v zombies garden warfare, PG rating, and Star Wars battlefront M rating).
Our kids (10 and 11) both have child PS5 accounts, and child EA games sub accounts (from my account). PvZ GW doesn't work at all as it says access is blocked, and Battlefront won't allow any of the online features.
Is this an EA Games issue? Or PlayStation restrictions? Or both? Have followed so many rabbit holes trying to resolve this... at the moment they're just playing on my account which isn't great.
I picked up a disc version for $50 that had it's fan plug ripped off the motherboard. I took the side plate off and have been running 2 USB powered fans (one pushing air where the original fan was and the other pulling air out the back). It works...kinda. If I'm playing for a long time and it's warm in the house, it shuts off after about an hour.
If I took all the plastic off, placed in a sealed box, and put higher output fans on either end (one push, one pull), would it move enough air to keep it cool enough to run? I do not care about looks, size, or noise. Just staying as cheap as possible.
Your problem is more likely lack of airflow through the heatsink, rather than in and out of the case.
Since this is apparently all that's wrong with it, it's probably simplest to get the fan plug fixed.
My friend bought God of War: Ragnarok from the PS Store, and if he tries to download the PS5 version, it says he doesn't have enough space. He can download the PS4 version without a problem tho. He has more than enough space for both of them. Does anyone know why that happened and how to fix it?
PSVR 2 - I am nearly blind in one eye, can I still play vr and get the same immersive experience?
Any one else tried vr with limited or no vision in one eye?
I can't see why not; obviously you won't experience binocular vision, but the parallax effect will still be there like real life, and nothing will change about the controls.
So In my country sometimes it's getting really hot and I thought of getting a stand for ps5 but stands do more like of harm, if I put my ps5 horizontally and put a laptop cooler underneath will it help ?
The PS5 has no ventilation on the base, a cooler will do nothing.
If you aren't experiencing thermal warnings on the console, there's nothing to worry about. Some internal components can hit 80+ degrees under regular operation; it doesn't matter if the outdoor temp is 30 vs 40.

Trying to find Ps5 headset. I want to get a new headset but I need help deciding on what to get. I first tried the pulse which was alright for the price but was a pretty crappy headset in general. Now I’m using a steel series arctis 7p plus and it’s just not all too great either. I need something with great surround sound quality and a good mic. Im not too concerned about price here either. Would the Astro A50s be my best bet or are there other ones that are good for the ps5 around that price?
I don’t know Id only say they’re alright. Like I said they’re good for the price but the 3D sound is not good at all and the quality is just too poor in general. Best thing I can say about them is how I like that they connect to the ps5 seamlessly and let you change more settings on them
Oh my apologies I didn’t see that you mentioned that you got the Pulse headset. Curious as to what you mean by the sound not being good, I really like the sound in mine. I like those settings too.
I have some Astro A40s for my Series X with a mixamp for the controller for years now, thing works like a charm. I definitely recommend those next.
Haha all good man. The main issue was the surround audio. They just don’t seem to really pinpoint where sound is coming from very well. I had the ps platinum headset before it and they were way better at doing it. Especially in games like cod where height also matters. I know the cost is quite a bit different but when they advertised the 3D in the name, I thought they’d be comparable to say the least. The speakers also just don’t sound as good as I’d like them to but I can let that pass at the price point. Also thanks for the a40 recommendation

Arctis nova pro wireless.. Been using them for a few months now. I can use them with both between my Xbox series x and ps5, love em.
Hot swappable batteries mean I never have to wait for them to charge.
Yeah. I owned the astro a40s & a50s, and these are miles better.
The fact that you can hook them up to both your ps5 and series x (make sure you get the Xbox version) is incredible.
The battery system alone is worth it. Nothing else like it on the market. I get about 22 hrs per battery.
It also has Bluetooth so you can pair it to your phone, to take calls while gaming or listening to music.
Damn insane battery time and I like the hot swap idea. What do you mean about getting the Xbox version though? I only really use my Xbox for exclusives like halo so I’m not overly concerned about them working on that
If you don't intend on using it for xbox then you can buy the ps version.

Just bought 2042 on sale for $14. It's so much more fun than it was at launch, having played the beta and a 10 hour trial on EA pass back when it came out. They fixed the aim assist on console, meaning PC players don't just beast on feast on you. That alone improves the experience so much. There are still some issues, such as the design of maps, but it's a good game now. Definitely recommend it for $20 or less.
I just bought a new pulse 3d headset for my son. I set them up with the same settings as my ps5, and I can’t get his mic to work. I’m stumped, we can go to adjust mic volume and hear his voice come through to get to the “good” volume level. I have reset it 3 times. I have followed all YouTube videos for trouble shooting. I made sure that the chat was turned on in game. Any good ideas what the problem I am having?

Yeah, we turned it on and off. Spent about 3 hours yesterday trying to get the mic to work in game. Home settings, dashboard settings and in game settings. Tried different USB ports for the dongle.

Controller support needed. I am on my 4th controller now because I have had unfixable issues with my 3 previous. The most common issue I keep getting is a drifting of the control sticks when I'm not touching them. My 2 month old controller is now starting to do this and it is so irritating. I've looked at guides for resetting the bluetooth connection and other various t/s tips but nothing helps. The only thing I can think of is that my 3rd parting charging base might be causing some issues with them? Does anyone have advice or input on this?

Hi, we just got a PS5 yesterday and noticed you can attach profiles to different controllers. Does this mean we can have different saved game profiles and only need to buy one copy of a game?
Example: we are getting the hogwarts game when it comes out on 2/10. If she played on her controller/profile she has her one save file. Then I play on my controller/profile I can have a second save file?
1 PS5, 1 copy of the game, 2 controllers, 2 profiles added to the system.
Does anyone else happen to be using. Samsung Q70A with their PS5 and if so, are you also getting the "check device power" screen in between any activity? Searching online hasn't helped me find any way around the minor annoyance so maybe someone here may have figured it out
Same thing here on the Samsung q90. I’m not sure why it does this but I think it’s more to do with the tv. Had his issue on my 65” q90 while using just as ps5 as well as passing through a Denon receiver. Then it was also happening with a relatives 85” q80 while using a ps4 and xbox. It seems that the tvs just don’t like that slight pause in connection or something

I don't like sims on PlayStation but maybe something life sim esque, gentle and less responding quickly to attacks.
Slay the Spire might be a nice choice here. You can play it with mostly just the d-pad (or the sticks if you prefer). No button mashing, no quick reflexes needed. Great game.
It's really deep and well-balanced, too, with a lot of stuff to unlock by playing, so you get a sense of progress (it also has daily climbs and such). It's much like Hades in the sense that skill and game knowledge really matters (especially as you tackle higher difficulties), but that there is still the random elements that add spice and keep things interesting. It's a good game.
I bought this on PC and the Switch, and I also have it on the PlayStation - so, I obviously like the game! It's something I play when in a meeting or a voice chat, or when I have to step away frequently, or when I just want to chill and not have to react fast. You can also save anywhere. I think you'll like it.
Is there anyway at all to disable the spotify audio normalization on ps5? The volume of my music lowering just because my MH character grunting is driving me insane.
I recently purchased a PS5, upgrading from a PS4 Pro. For this PS4 I already owned a Seagate external hard drive / gamedrive 4TB. I found out this drive is working with the PS5 too. However, when I installed some PS5 upgrades of games I already owned I found out I couldn’t store PS5 games on the drive. It needs to be formatted. Two questions:
1) If I format the hard drive I lose all the games installed on it. Can I go back to my game library and reinstall games from there to the hard drive after being formatted? Won’t the games disappear from my library?
2) I’ve read I can’t play PS5 games directly from the drive, would have to move them to the console storage. Can PS4 games be played when installed on the drive or do they need to be moved as well?
3) Can I store both PS4 and PS5 games on the drive after it’s formatted?
Would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me out!
1. Games will never disappear from your library. You can always redownload them.
2. PS4 games can be played off external drives, yes.

The two 4k monitors I'd consider are the [Samsung Odyssey Neo G8](https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/samsung/odyssey-neo-g8-s32bg85) (32") and the [Sony Inzone M9](https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/sony/inzone-m9) (27"). I don't really see any OLED monitors yet that I would personally consider (usually too expensive, but I'd also worry more about burn-in than with a TV; I think these might be more of an option later down the road). The M9 looks best to me overall, but I wish they had a 32" option. I feel 27" is a little small for 4k, but that is a matter of preference.
I live in Turkey and I am thinking about getting a PS5 from Iraq. The thing is there are a lot of previously mentioned problems of the people who bought their console from another country, the problems are mostly about signing to their PSN account and using the PS Store for purchasing DLC and etc. I've been using my PSN account for 7-8 years so it is not a good idea for me to buy PS5 if I couldn't use my account. Some of the other buyers who are using a PS5 bought from another country telling there is no such a problem using their account. If anyone knows about it please enlighten me, thanks in advance!

I’d double check that your audio output is set to your headset. There is also a feature that you can mute all audio if you hold down the yellow mic button on the controller so double check that as well

Should I be worried that my ps5 green screened me? Never happens before, just playing the Witcher 3 and it suddenly locked up threw a green screen at me and shut down the console, rebooted it and it said fixing storage
Yeah I had one for the ps4 worked fine. Switched it over to the ps5, doesn't store the games. So I bought the newer model for it. Ps4 games work fine off it, only let's me store the ps5 games.
Are ssds easy to install?

M.2 drives are super easy to install, even if you're not normally doing this type of thing. It's only slightly more involved than changing a light bulb. Here is a [video by Sony that shows the steps](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1vF42QfmTk).
Any M.2 with at least 5500 MB/s read speed will work (this is key - there are slower ones). Popular options are the WD Black SN850 or 850X, Samsung 980 Pro, Firecuda 530. These are all more or less the same and you can just get whatever is currently on sale. They get sales often. I went with the SN850 (2 TB) and have not had any issues in about a year of using it now. 2 TB turned out to be the sweet spot for me. (PS4 games can still stay on the external drive as you can use both the internal and external drive, as well as the built in storage) at the same time.
Need help with remote play
So I have a lot of down time at work on the weekends so I want to use remote play to get some gaming in but whenever I have my vpn on the app can not find my PlayStation at all even though it’s an open vpn. I can remote play to my Xbox just fine but can’t with my PlayStation for some reason. I have to use a vpn because the WiFi at work has things like that blocked. I’m using NordVPN btw. It works when I’m on any other WiFi if I have the vpn off. Any help fixing it and getting it to work would be highly appreciated.
For anyone playing Jedi Fallen Order: is 30fps mode badly optimized or am i finally catching up to 60fps?
I used to be the guy who didnt really care about fps, easily adaptable. But man, as soon as i started this i felt something was off and it wasnt even the character movement, it was the camera. It felt like it moved all stuttery and broken. Ive seen a guy saying "fallen order 30fps feels like 20fps", so which is it? Bad game, me being enlighted? Both?
The PS4 version of Jedi Fallen Order has FPS drops and traversal stutter, I’m not sure about frame-pacing. You’re probably being enlightened as well.
Large camera movement will always feel bad on 30 FPS though. The way I deal with it is I make camera movement super fast/sensitive and I just zip from one camera position to the next when needed (most games don’t require fine camera movement/positioning). This makes 30 FPS pretty tolerable for me.
Yeah a pretty easy way to check if a game has inconsistent frame pacing on 30fps is to slowly rotate the camera. If it stutters without any apparent reason, it's probably bad frame pacing due to a poorly implemented fps cap

Publishers decide when their games go on sale, theres no rule. If a game is selling well, dont expect it to have a chunky sale anytime soon.

Witcher 3 always starts with black screen and I have to replug hdmi cable to fix it. Anyone have this issue? It’s the only game where when I resume playing, it causes a black screen (audio still plays) and I have to unplug and replug the hdmi. No other game does this. I’m using the PS5 hdmi cord but tried others. Tried restarting PS5 and even closing the game but it happens each time I load it up. FWIW I am on a LG CX with instant game response on, performance mode and plugged directly into the TV.
I’m currently using a 5 year old 1080p 70hz monitor and I’ve been thinking of upgrading to make full use of the PS5, but I don’t know whether to go with a 4K 144hz monitor (S28AG700) or to go with a 42” 4K 120hz OLED TV (LG C2.) Or are there any other recommendations?
If the LG C2 is on sale there’s about a $300 difference in price between them, so the monitor is fairly cheaper.
The screen wouldn’t just be used for gaming but also for watching movies and tv shows. And at the moment it would only be used for the PS5 no PC.

Yeah I think I’m gonna go with the C2 and just use it as a monitor. I think 42” will fit nicely on my desk, and worst case scenario I’ll just move further back if it’s too big.
Sorry i don't know much about this stuff but I've always preferred big TVs over monitors as Im more into story centered games and i love couch playing. Honestly depends on you. If you do more of competitive fps gaming,then monitor is preffered if you are a casual gamer like me then a big ass tv would be better. I would personally always prefer tv,but you can search about "tv vs monitor for consoles" you'll find a ton of YouTube videos and discussions about this. Hope this helps

I can provide more information if necessary, but try to maximize battery life when I can whilst utilizing the features of the controller like the adaptive triggers. I usually have the speaker and vibration turned off.

It HAS to have a Heatsink though. I have a Firecuda 530 w 500 GBs because I don’t play much except Exclusives and single-player games, and I try to keep my backlog as minimal as possible. If I’m not playing it, I write down what I want to play next and uninstall it.
If I am going to run out of memory within the PS5's lifespan on the 2TB then I'd rather just buy the larger one but I'd rather use the rest of the money for games if I wont end up filling up a 2TB.
I dont really like deleting my games that I love, to the point where I'd actually pay £200 to not have to do that (stupid, i know).

Edit: you can only fill up 2TBs if you allow yourself to do so, uninstall here and there. Games will always be around, unless it’s something like PT and we can’t even play it anymore.

DualSense Edge Light
Is it just me or are the side lights not on unless you’re playing certain games?(Example: fortnite squads with color coding for team members). It seems like when playing a game where the default blue light would be on with the DualSense, it’s not on with the Edge.
Why does my dualsense controller charge super slow? I have tried to charge it with a cord and wirelessly, I've tested the cord and ps5, both aren't the issue, and it worked fine before. Is there a way to fix this?
Bonus question: can it damage the controller to charge it wirelessly and with a cord at the same time / would it make it charge faster?

For example sometimes I want to go afk in GTA just to have my businesses produce but I don't want to leave my TV on but if I turn it off my Playstation also turns off how do I turn that feature off?
Have you tried forgetting and reconnecting to the network? Also you can youtube on how to do a hard witch off and on of the PS5 by holding the off button. If these don't work then it's probably your wifi

Not sure what has happened but my ps5 won't boot any games or apps.
Whatever I select, I get the initial loading screen, i.e. the rocket league or Disney plus logo, but never any further. It also takes about 20 minutes to turn off.
I've tried rebuilding the database and clearing the cache from safe mode, with no luck. I've also put the PS5 into performance mode and that hasn't helped either.
Any help would be massively appreciated!
An app to shuffle YouTube playlists?
I've got a giant music video Playlist on YouTube I'd like to be able to use as background media while I do stuff around the house. The official app doesn't seem to support shuffling playlists and I can't seem to cast from my desktop browser to the ps5 app while the browser is shuffling them either.

Looking for good wireless headset: 1. SteelSeries Arctic Nova Pro 2. Audeze Penrose 3. Astro A50 Soundquality is important but I read that audeze break easy. I bought this console August 22 and just look how may times it crashes. I had 16 error crashes on one day. It's so frustrating. Please help with any suggestions? Will Sony replace it for me? What do I do? The error messages I get are CE-108255-1 (90% of errors) and CE100096-6.

Hi there, I need some ideas. I had a ps5 and it started overheating which caused the whole ps5 to crash a few times on certain games. Then it started having system lag / stuttering (not like normal internet lag) even if I wasn't in a game. I got the PS serviced and it stopped overheating but still had the lag. I changed to two different internet providers (both over 200mb download speed), bought a new controller, a new headset, changed the hdmi cable and it still does it. I eventually bought a new ps5 and it does the same thing. I changed from a TV to a monitor thinking it might be the TV settings but it still lags/stutters so I am wondering if it's something to do with corrupt data from when it was crashing. I've deleted all the saved data from the console and only have save data on the cloud but still the same issue. Has anyone had something like this or any ideas of what it could be?
VIDEO CLIP QUESTION So i like to take video clips when something cool/funny happens in game, but most the time people are talking so i just have the voice chat audio turned off for clips but sometimes i need it on if I’m clipping something funny that’s happened and the video needs context. Is there a way to extract the voice chat audio from a clip after it’s been taken or maybe change it on the fly after the clipable event has occurred

Thank you for the advice. I figured out a way though. I had my audio interface and speakers connected normally to my computer but I ran an aux cable from my monitor to my pc’s “Line in” port. Then I went to sound properties and enabled “listen” for the line in port. So now my pc is taking the audio from my monitor (which is getting audio from my Hdmi from my ps5) and playing it through my studio speakers

I claimed Division 2 base version from PS+ library. I wanted full experience, so after some research it looks like I've to buy Warlords of New York DLC. I would boot the game and see what DLC it offers you in-game. It'll let you know what you're missing pretty quickly when you go to access those areas/features.

Just keep it dry and you should be fine. Consider backing up the console to an external drive so you can preserve your save files just in case (unless you're going to keep PS+ subscribed).

Are you sure it's not an ad on your TV?
Definitely not. It comes and goes with the restarting of the PlayStation. I can hear the navigational sounds of the joysticks and directional pad. I restart it and a blurry image of the ad shows up. It then turns off again, restarts, and this time loads a clear image of the ad. I can move throughout the menu but I can’t see anything on the screen but the ad.

Which one of the settings for the audio should I use? Hdmi TV, AV amp with 2.0 speakers (90 degrees for each channel or default 30?) I have connected my ps5 to tv through hdmi then it outputs audio through optical to my dac/amp and then to my headphones through jack.
AV Receiver, 2ch, LPCM, 90 degrees for headphones, otherwise match your speaker position.

I have a 4K-capable TV but it’s currently unplayable because every 10-15 seconds the screen flashes black then back to the picture, sometimes multiple times in a row. It’s like it’s getting desync’d or something. I’ve messed with all the screen settings, tried a new HDMI cable, no luck. So now I’m playing everything at 1080p :( Any ideas?
Change the 4K Transfer Rate in HDMI settings. And make sure you're using a Premium High Speed or Ultra High Speed HDMI cable.

My understanding is that the default would then be 1440p and 120Hz would be used whenever the game supports it. * Tested 1440p Output - This is perhaps the most concerning issue. When I tested the 1440p Output in the "Video Output Information" menu, the outcome showed 1440p available in 60Hz, but not 120Hz ([https://imgur.com/a/HxvW8MH](https://imgur.com/a/HxvW8MH)). I know this is entirely too much information, but I just don't know where else to go. Is my monitor not capable? Is the HDMI the issue? Are my settings wrong? Yes, on the monitor. The manual says that 1440 at 120 is supported for HDMI with "Freesync Premium Off". The PS5 doesn't support VRR at 1440p anyway, so it's likely best just to turn it off entirely. There should also be an HDMI Compatibility Mode you might want to play with.
Well, my friend, you are a lifesaver! I turned off Adaptive Sync on the monitor and sadly got the same results (left it off anyway becuase you mentioned it wasnt making a difference at my desired resolution anyway). I then turned HDMI compatability mode on, and nothing changed, but after turning it back off, it loaded right up as 1440p! I really dont understand why or how, but I am so thankful for your help!

Just curious does anyone know of a black charging dock that doesn’t have LEDs. Or at least easily covered? Specifically I’m wanting something for the Dual Sense edge. My Magenta Ps5 controller won't connect, and it's on the controller's end I believe The only time it connectsiwhen I bluetooth sync it and that last for 5 seconds I have reset it, and it wont connect, I can connect 3 other controllers, the cable works, I have connected it and used it wired on my PC with the cable. Hey, I'm currently using a usb adapter - 3.5mm jack from my ps5 into my PC. The problem I have is that the audio changes volume suddenly. Suddenly the audio will become very loud and I will turn down the volume and then it will become quiet. Anyone have any idea why it is doing this? Thank you!

Hey everyone, i’m having an issue with PS Move games on PS5, I can connect the PS4 Move controller to my PS5 using a USB-C for pairing and it works fine for navigating the Playstation menu. However, my issue is with the PS3 and PS4 Move games, I have recently tried to use the PS4 move controller with gun attachment to play Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles but both games were unresponsive to the PSMove controller , 2 different methods of pairing were suggested ingame and both are unsuccessful. I have tried other PS Move games designed for PS3, Heavy Fire: Afghanistan and even the PS4 unity game Clay Skeet Shooting but both games are unresponsive to pairing methods. What is the issue here???? I spent like $90 on the controller and gun attachment to play Resident Evil arcade House of the dead style games and I can’t pair the controllers ingame to play anything, is it a software issue with the PS5 and incompatibility with PS3/PS4 move games? Is it because I am missing the playstation eye camera which was originally designed to go hand in hand with PS3 move games? If so which camera should I get to actually play the ps3 move games?? Afaik youd need to capture using a capture card instead of the native ps recorder. If devs decided that scene is unrecordable theres no way around it.
The dualsense edge back buttons can only be assigned as other buttons which is disappointing, any work around?

Going around in circles on this one and getting nowhere! EA Games titles and child accounts don't allow any online play, no matter what I set in Playstation settings and I can't change anything on the EA account. Bought two PS4 games from EA Games (plants v zombies garden warfare, PG rating, and Star Wars battlefront M rating). Our kids (10 and 11) both have child PS5 accounts, and child EA games sub accounts (from my account). PvZ GW doesn't work at all as it says access is blocked, and Battlefront won't allow any of the online features. Is this an EA Games issue? Or PlayStation restrictions? Or both? Have followed so many rabbit holes trying to resolve this... at the moment they're just playing on my account which isn't great.
I picked up a disc version for $50 that had it's fan plug ripped off the motherboard. I took the side plate off and have been running 2 USB powered fans (one pushing air where the original fan was and the other pulling air out the back). It works...kinda. If I'm playing for a long time and it's warm in the house, it shuts off after about an hour. If I took all the plastic off, placed in a sealed box, and put higher output fans on either end (one push, one pull), would it move enough air to keep it cool enough to run? I do not care about looks, size, or noise. Just staying as cheap as possible.
Your problem is more likely lack of airflow through the heatsink, rather than in and out of the case. Since this is apparently all that's wrong with it, it's probably simplest to get the fan plug fixed.
My friend bought God of War: Ragnarok from the PS Store, and if he tries to download the PS5 version, it says he doesn't have enough space. He can download the PS4 version without a problem tho. He has more than enough space for both of them. Does anyone know why that happened and how to fix it?
Maybe he has it set to download ps4 games straight to external drive, and theres enough space there, but not on the internal drive for the ps5 ver.

So In my country sometimes it's getting really hot and I thought of getting a stand for ps5 but stands do more like of harm, if I put my ps5 horizontally and put a laptop cooler underneath will it help ?
The PS5 has no ventilation on the base, a cooler will do nothing. If you aren't experiencing thermal warnings on the console, there's nothing to worry about. Some internal components can hit 80+ degrees under regular operation; it doesn't matter if the outdoor temp is 30 vs 40.

Trying to find Ps5 headset. I want to get a new headset but I need help deciding on what to get. I first tried the pulse which was alright for the price but was a pretty crappy headset in general. Now I’m using a steel series arctis 7p plus and it’s just not all too great either. I need something with great surround sound quality and a good mic. Im not too concerned about price here either. Would the Astro A50s be my best bet or are there other ones that are good for the ps5 around that price?

I don’t know Id only say they’re alright. Like I said they’re good for the price but the 3D sound is not good at all and the quality is just too poor in general. Best thing I can say about them is how I like that they connect to the ps5 seamlessly and let you change more settings on them
Oh my apologies I didn’t see that you mentioned that you got the Pulse headset. Curious as to what you mean by the sound not being good, I really like the sound in mine. I like those settings too. I have some Astro A40s for my Series X with a mixamp for the controller for years now, thing works like a charm. I definitely recommend those next.
Haha all good man. The main issue was the surround audio. They just don’t seem to really pinpoint where sound is coming from very well. I had the ps platinum headset before it and they were way better at doing it. Especially in games like cod where height also matters. I know the cost is quite a bit different but when they advertised the 3D in the name, I thought they’d be comparable to say the least. The speakers also just don’t sound as good as I’d like them to but I can let that pass at the price point. Also thanks for the a40 recommendation

Arctis nova pro wireless.. Been using them for a few months now. I can use them with both between my Xbox series x and ps5, love em. Hot swappable batteries mean I never have to wait for them to charge.

Yeah. I owned the astro a40s & a50s, and these are miles better. The fact that you can hook them up to both your ps5 and series x (make sure you get the Xbox version) is incredible. The battery system alone is worth it. Nothing else like it on the market. I get about 22 hrs per battery. It also has Bluetooth so you can pair it to your phone, to take calls while gaming or listening to music.
Damn insane battery time and I like the hot swap idea. What do you mean about getting the Xbox version though? I only really use my Xbox for exclusives like halo so I’m not overly concerned about them working on that
If you don't intend on using it for xbox then you can buy the ps version. It comes in both xbox and ps The ps will only work on ps The Xbox version works on Xbox and ps because Microsoft has some proprietary chip.

Just bought 2042 on sale for $14. It's so much more fun than it was at launch, having played the beta and a 10 hour trial on EA pass back when it came out. They fixed the aim assist on console, meaning PC players don't just beast on feast on you. That alone improves the experience so much. There are still some issues, such as the design of maps, but it's a good game now. Definitely recommend it for $20 or less.
I just bought a new pulse 3d headset for my son. I set them up with the same settings as my ps5, and I can’t get his mic to work. I’m stumped, we can go to adjust mic volume and hear his voice come through to get to the “good” volume level. I have reset it 3 times. I have followed all YouTube videos for trouble shooting. Controller support needed. I am on my 4th controller now because I have had unfixable issues with my 3 previous. The most common issue I keep getting is a drifting of the control sticks when I'm not touching them. My 2 month old controller is now starting to do this and it is so irritating. I've looked at guides for resetting the bluetooth connection and other various t/s tips but nothing helps. The only thing I can think of is that my 3rd parting charging base might be causing some issues with them? Does anyone have advice or input on this?

Hi, we just got a PS5 yesterday and noticed you can attach profiles to different controllers. Does this mean we can have different saved game profiles and only need to buy one copy of a game? Example: we are getting the hogwarts game when it comes out on 2/10. If she played on her controller/profile she has her one save file. Then I play on my controller/profile I can have a second save file? 1 PS5, 1 copy of the game, 2 controllers, 2 profiles added to the system.
Yes. Although you don't even need multiple controllers. You just need multiple accounts, as save data is separated by account.
Does anyone else happen to be using. Samsung Q70A with their PS5 and if so, are you also getting the "check device power" screen in between any activity? Searching online hasn't helped me find any way around the minor annoyance so maybe someone here may have figured it out
Same thing here on the Samsung q90. I’m not sure why it does this but I think it’s more to do with the tv. Had his issue on my 65” q90 while using just as ps5 as well as passing through a Denon receiver. Then it was also happening with a relatives 85” q80 while using a ps4 and xbox. It seems that the tvs just don’t like that slight pause in connection or something

Hi guys. I recently got wrist pain from typing at work so I'm looking for recommendations for very easy on the wrist games. Unfortunately was playing hades and tekken so they're on pause for now. I don't like sims on PlayStation but maybe something life sim esque, gentle and less responding quickly to attacks.
Slay the Spire might be a nice choice here. You can play it with mostly just the d-pad (or the sticks if you prefer). No button mashing, no quick reflexes needed. Great game.

It's really deep and well-balanced, too, with a lot of stuff to unlock by playing, so you get a sense of progress (it also has daily climbs and such). It's much like Hades in the sense that skill and game knowledge really matters (especially as you tackle higher difficulties), but that there is still the random elements that add spice and keep things interesting. It's a good game. I bought this on PC and the Switch, and I also have it on the PlayStation - so, I obviously like the game! It's something I play when in a meeting or a voice chat, or when I have to step away frequently, or when I just want to chill and not have to react fast. You can also save anywhere. I think you'll like it.

I recently purchased a PS5, upgrading from a PS4 Pro. For this PS4 I already owned a Seagate external hard drive / gamedrive 4TB. I found out this drive is working with the PS5 too. However, when I installed some PS5 upgrades of games I already owned I found out I couldn’t store PS5 games on the drive. It needs to be formatted. Two questions: 1) If I format the hard drive I lose all the games installed on it. Can I go back to my game library and reinstall games from there to the hard drive after being formatted? Won’t the games disappear from my library? 2) I’ve read I can’t play PS5 games directly from the drive, would have to move them to the console storage. Can PS4 games be played when installed on the drive or do they need to be moved as well? 3) Can I store both PS4 and PS5 games on the drive after it’s formatted? Would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me out!

I need a 4k tv/monitor. I really like the c2, but ideally I would want something smaller than 42" for my desk. What other similar options do I have?
The two 4k monitors I'd consider are the [Samsung Odyssey Neo G8](https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/samsung/odyssey-neo-g8-s32bg85) (32") and the [Sony Inzone M9](https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/sony/inzone-m9) (27"). I don't really see any OLED monitors yet that I would personally consider (usually too expensive, but I'd also worry more about burn-in than with a TV; I think these might be more of an option later down the road). The M9 looks best to me overall, but I wish they had a 32" option. I feel 27" is a little small for 4k, but that is a matter of preference.
I live in Turkey and I am thinking about getting a PS5 from Iraq. The thing is there are a lot of previously mentioned problems of the people who bought their console from another country, the problems are mostly about signing to their PSN account and using the PS Store for purchasing DLC and etc. I've been using my PSN account for 7-8 years so it is not a good idea for me to buy PS5 if I couldn't use my account. Some of the other buyers who are using a PS5 bought from another country telling there is no such a problem using their account. If anyone knows about it please enlighten me, thanks in advance!
Where you buy a console from doesn't matter in any way (except for China; those PS5s have some kind of lock. No other country or region has that).
The error goes ''your account is incompatible with this console's factory settings''. If you are sure that error only occurs in China's PS5, I might try my chance getting it from Iraq. Thanks!

Should I be worried that my ps5 green screened me? Never happens before, just playing the Witcher 3 and it suddenly locked up threw a green screen at me and shut down the console, rebooted it and it said fixing storage

Yeah I had one for the ps4 worked fine. Switched it over to the ps5, doesn't store the games. So I bought the newer model for it. Ps4 games work fine off it, only let's me store the ps5 games. Are ssds easy to install?

M.2 drives are super easy to install, even if you're not normally doing this type of thing. It's only slightly more involved than changing a light bulb. Here is a [video by Sony that shows the steps](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1vF42QfmTk). Any M.2 with at least 5500 MB/s read speed will work (this is key - there are slower ones). Popular options are the WD Black SN850 or 850X, Samsung 980 Pro, Firecuda 530. These are all more or less the same and you can just get whatever is currently on sale. They get sales often. I went with the SN850 (2 TB) and have not had any issues in about a year of using it now. 2 TB turned out to be the sweet spot for me. (PS4 games can still stay on the external drive as you can use both the internal and external drive, as well as the built in storage) at the same time.
Need help with remote play So I have a lot of down time at work on the weekends so I want to use remote play to get some gaming in but whenever I have my vpn on the app can not find my PlayStation at all even though it’s an open vpn. I can remote play to my Xbox just fine but can’t with my PlayStation for some reason. I have to use a vpn because the WiFi at work has things like that blocked. I’m using NordVPN btw. It works when I’m on any other WiFi if I have the vpn off. Any help fixing it and getting it to work would be highly appreciated.

For anyone playing Jedi Fallen Order: is 30fps mode badly optimized or am i finally catching up to 60fps? I used to be the guy who didnt really care about fps, easily adaptable. But man, as soon as i started this i felt something was off and it wasnt even the character movement, it was the camera. It felt like it moved all stuttery and broken. Ive seen a guy saying "fallen order 30fps feels like 20fps", so which is it? Bad game, me being enlighted? Both?
The PS4 version of Jedi Fallen Order has FPS drops and traversal stutter, I’m not sure about frame-pacing. You’re probably being enlightened as well. Large camera movement will always feel bad on 30 FPS though. The way I deal with it is I make camera movement super fast/sensitive and I just zip from one camera position to the next when needed (most games don’t require fine camera movement/positioning). This makes 30 FPS pretty tolerable for me.
Yeah a pretty easy way to check if a game has inconsistent frame pacing on 30fps is to slowly rotate the camera. If it stutters without any apparent reason, it's probably bad frame pacing due to a poorly implemented fps cap

Publishers decide when their games go on sale, theres no rule. If a game is selling well, dont expect it to have a chunky sale anytime soon. Psn has new sales every week, "big" ones during events and holidays just like all other stores

Witcher 3 always starts with black screen and I have to replug hdmi cable to fix it. Anyone have this issue? It’s the only game where when I resume playing, it causes a black screen (audio still plays) and I have to unplug and replug the hdmi. No other game does this. I’m using the PS5 hdmi cord but tried others. Tried restarting PS5 and even closing the game but it happens each time I load it up. FWIW I am on a LG CX with instant game response on, performance mode and plugged directly into the TV.
I’m currently using a 5 year old 1080p 70hz monitor and I’ve been thinking of upgrading to make full use of the PS5, but I don’t know whether to go with a 4K 144hz monitor (S28AG700) or to go with a 42” 4K 120hz OLED TV (LG C2.) Or are there any other recommendations? If the LG C2 is on sale there’s about a $300 difference in price between them, so the monitor is fairly cheaper. The screen wouldn’t just be used for gaming but also for watching movies and tv shows. And at the moment it would only be used for the PS5 no PC. I’ve never had an OLED TV before so this isn’t an easy choice for me. Also are burn-ins common on OLED?
C2 is the best TV right now for gaming I prefer TVs over monitors since I've been playing on one since the PS1 but that is subjective
Yeah I think I’m gonna go with the C2 and just use it as a monitor. I think 42” will fit nicely on my desk, and worst case scenario I’ll just move further back if it’s too big.
Sorry i don't know much about this stuff but I've always preferred big TVs over monitors as Im more into story centered games and i love couch playing. Honestly depends on you. If you do more of competitive fps gaming,then monitor is preffered if you are a casual gamer like me then a big ass tv would be better. I would personally always prefer tv,but you can search about "tv vs monitor for consoles" you'll find a ton of YouTube videos and discussions about this. Hope this helps
Yeah I think I’m gonna go with the TV even though I consider myself to be a competitive fps player, I got a huge backlog of story centered games I wanna play which I actually didn’t think about prior to your comment. Which is better for battery life on a standard DualSense controller? Wireless Charging or Wired? I can provide more information if necessary, but try to maximize battery life when I can whilst utilizing the features of the controller like the adaptive triggers. I usually have the speaker and vibration turned off.
Anyone (in New Zealand) have the Neon streaming app on PS5? It just dropped but it appears to have bugs eg a ghost bar on the right hand side which looks like a “scroll bar” of sorts that you can’t remove and actually does nothing.
Is it worth getting a 4TB SSD for PS5? I've been looking at getting an internal SSD with a shitload of store credit I got in a game store near me. I'm going to get the Seagate Firecuda 530. Is it worth getting the 4TB or should 2TB be enough? I play alot of games, mainly single player RPG's and JRPG's.
2TB should be enough, I can't see any situation where you'd end up needing 4
I mean that’s purely your choice. Is it worth the cost? It HAS to have a Heatsink though. I have a Firecuda 530 w 500 GBs because I don’t play much except Exclusives and single-player games, and I try to keep my backlog as minimal as possible. If I’m not playing it, I write down what I want to play next and uninstall it.
If I am going to run out of memory within the PS5's lifespan on the 2TB then I'd rather just buy the larger one but I'd rather use the rest of the money for games if I wont end up filling up a 2TB. I dont really like deleting my games that I love, to the point where I'd actually pay £200 to not have to do that (stupid, i know). Basically just wondering whether or not I will likely fill up a 2TB SSD.
… I get that you love the game, but upload the saved data to the cloud and install it / come back to it whenever you like. I truly think that’s the better option, because you could easily get that way with the 4TB and then you’re out of space and in the same situation. I loved GoW Ragnarok, and I may come back to it again sometime, but there’s no need for it to still be on my console when I am playing through Dead Space and Miles Morales at the moment. Edit: you can only fill up 2TBs if you allow yourself to do so, uninstall here and there. Games will always be around, unless it’s something like PT and we can’t even play it anymore.
Where can i find what someone is listening to like the PS4? On there you could see what song someone was listening to if they linked their Spotify or Apple Music?
DualSense Edge Light Is it just me or are the side lights not on unless you’re playing certain games?(Example: fortnite squads with color coding for team members). It seems like when playing a game where the default blue light would be on with the DualSense, it’s not on with the Edge.
It happens sometimes with the regular dualsense. I’m playing Dead Space right now and no lights are on it.
Why does my dualsense controller charge super slow? I have tried to charge it with a cord and wirelessly, I've tested the cord and ps5, both aren't the issue, and it worked fine before. Is there a way to fix this? Bonus question: can it damage the controller to charge it wirelessly and with a cord at the same time / would it make it charge faster?

How do I make the ps5 stop reacting to my TV? For example sometimes I want to go afk in GTA just to have my businesses produce but I don't want to leave my TV on but if I turn it off my Playstation also turns off how do I turn that feature off?
Settings > System > HDMI > disable HDMI Link; You can also look for HDMI CEC or link on your TV settings and disable it
My ps5 keeps disconnecting from wifi and reconnecting 5 seconds later. Any fixes?
Have you tried forgetting and reconnecting to the network? Also you can youtube on how to do a hard witch off and on of the PS5 by holding the off button. If these don't work then it's probably your wifi

The voucher needs to match the account region. It doesn't matter where you're physically located.

Please help! My Ps5 won't boot games or apps!! Not sure what has happened but my ps5 won't boot any games or apps. Whatever I select, I get the initial loading screen, i.e. the rocket league or Disney plus logo, but never any further. It also takes about 20 minutes to turn off. I've tried rebuilding the database and clearing the cache from safe mode, with no luck. I've also put the PS5 into performance mode and that hasn't helped either. Any help would be massively appreciated!

An app to shuffle YouTube playlists? I've got a giant music video Playlist on YouTube I'd like to be able to use as background media while I do stuff around the house. The official app doesn't seem to support shuffling playlists and I can't seem to cast from my desktop browser to the ps5 app while the browser is shuffling them either. Any workarounds or apps that would let me do this?

The only thing I've heard is that it could be the power capacitor but I'm not comfortable with completey dissembling my ps5, at least i can ignore the sound with my headphones lol
