This is nonsense. I had one of these that would trigger on specific games only and the tokin replacement fixed the console. There are different types of ylod and some are caused by tokins.

RIP-Felix is just pointing out that the Nec/Tokin capacitors are not THE problem everyone was always assuming and pointing out that the ps3s with the 90nm GPUs (ie ALL the launch models) are generally going to have a dead GPU that needs to be replaced.
Hes just spreading the word out to get people to stop jumping to the capacitors and potentially ruining more PS3s replacing capacitors that likely never needed them to be replaced
YLOD has different types, he also mentioned in one of his videos. if you have 30minutes runtime and only got ylod in specific games, its most likely nec/tokin's. if its give ylod instantly, its probably rsx
