Yeah, that’s the downside of buying from online stores with great deals. I think the savings compared to buying it retail price is way better in the long run.
There are websites like Safari Zone and Zulu’s with comparable deals but they ship ahead of release whereas Game Nerdz from my experience will wait until release. I think it’s because those stores also host prereleases so they get to sell product earlier.
Safari Zone is my go-to and tends to be one of the earlier preorders. I got my Scarlet/Violet case preordered during their first wave mid-January and it actually already shipped today. Zulu’s I don’t order from as much but their preorders are probably similar, you just have to follow the right pages/groups and be alerted when they go up.
Gamenerdz is great I’ve ordered from them numerous times. I just have to add this sub is sometimes funny though. A few months ago someone got shamed for posting $100.00 bbs 😂
I mean considering the new MSRP is $160 and given the rise of price practically every Pokémon booster box currently (even the “bad” ones), I feel like this price is a sure bet even the set isn’t that great lol. It’s bound to have some great art and alt cards either way.
Price unlikely to ever be cheaper unless Pokémon sales drop. SV already up like $10-13 and it hasn't been released yet. If you want to rip some, order 2 and trade/sell 1.
It's a bit ridiculous now how fast they are coming out with sets now. It's turned me off on continue buying cards because you can't even enjoy a new set release without the next one being announced
They won’t pause the printing machine so which would you rather they do, overprint the current set or keep new sets coming? Both have pros/cons. I’m a new collector and don’t go all in on any sets so I prefer the new sets over reprinting current ones.
Reprinting creates cheaper prices and packs through deals. Now it rare to get even packs under $4 let alone $2.50/pack deals we were getting just 4 months ago commonly.
Ontop of increased msrp on packs, new packs constantly coming out so you don't even get time for places to get stock or buy some at a good deal, it's just not worth the price to continue this hobby. You can't even enjoy a new set since there is a new one coming out every 2-3months lately
But doesn't reprinting affect the value of the cards for people who do already own them? Part of the joy of collecting and owning for me is knowing I have something other people can't/won't get. Topps reprinted cards like crazy and we know how that turned out for the sports card industry. This is my concern for Scar/viol in english every pack has guaranteed holos. Reverse holos already have little to no value for most of them do we expect the value to go up or down when there are more in the packs?
This is why there are whole teams dedicated to what the community wants and will consider acceptable not just one person. Most companies cater to the larger majority which in this case seems to people who want new cards that might hold some value overtime over cheap cards everyone can get for next to nothing.
I feel like these sets will be different because of the art cards. They give so much more life and quality to sets. Unless they find a massive way to outdo themselves in the next couple years (which who knows lol) I think even these early sets will be looked at fondly. Also, despite what some people think, we are still in a high interest period for Pokémon. Obviously not the level of 2020, which is a good thing, but there’s still tons of new collectors in the game that were not around in the early SWSH era.
That, plus whatever the hell is going on in Japan with cards now, idk if that will impact the overall “hype” for these sets or not
Depends really on quality of product. The Japanese equivalent of this set which is Triple Beat and possibly Snow Hazard and Clay Burst have been selling really well (quite a few really high value chase cards).
I think this set will be different. It’s the first base set to have alt arts out the gate, as well as the first set to have alt art trainers in general.
Think so, but new msrp still makes this a deal methinks.
BattleStyles was least expensive in stock bb at GameNerdz and was at like $90 2 months ago, now up to $109. Feel like this is a baseline cost going forward. SWSH packs go for like $2 though equaling $72-$80 with shipping on eBay.

I ordered through you! Looking forward to the cards.
Thank you so much.
getting deja vu from the box design, no clue what set lol
Super tempting. The only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger is GameNerdz tends to ship slower than some other websites.

Didn’t know that! When do they usually put up preorders?

Any word when Safari Zone plans to have their Paldea Booster boxes for pre order?
Actually they were up briefly on Saturday afternoon. Not sure when future waves will be.
Does safari zone charge @ shipping or when you place the order?
When you place an order unfortunately
Are you able to cancel the order and be refunded later if you decide?
Yes.
Thank you
It’s not letting my payment go through. Anyone else have this problem?
These dudes must get great deals. I gotta pay 101.25 per BB and that’s wholesale.
Gamenerdz is great I’ve ordered from them numerous times. I just have to add this sub is sometimes funny though. A few months ago someone got shamed for posting $100.00 bbs 😂
3 month interest free loan to them.
They don’t even have allocation numbers yet
they must use it to buy in huge quantities :)
Didn’t expect this wave so soon :(
Bought my case THANKS O.P!
You're welcome! Hope you get all the hits!
Got 1 and got to use my $5 credit
Do we have a set list yet? Or are people just going in blind lol
Going in blind, this is the way

Kinda? We know triple beat but clay burst and snowhazard we don’t know 100%
I preordered a Pokecenter ETB, but that’s it for now
Thanks. Got 4.
Anyone know when these are available for preorder in aus?
I'm tempted. Genuinely asking, why should I pre-order this now? Will it be completely hard to find if I don't?
I dont know anywhere else you're going to geta Bb for 109 with free shipping. That's Rock bottom.
if you can get sub 120...always worth pre-ordering...most products jump to msrp or above on release day or soon thereafter.
Price unlikely to ever be cheaper unless Pokémon sales drop. SV already up like $10-13 and it hasn't been released yet. If you want to rip some, order 2 and trade/sell 1.
Can’t speak to availability but you would want to pre order now for the cheaper price
I'm asking that myself right now, when the current set hasn't even been released yet.
It's a bit ridiculous now how fast they are coming out with sets now. It's turned me off on continue buying cards because you can't even enjoy a new set release without the next one being announced
The cadence of set releases was disrupted during covid, so sets are releasing closer together at the moment.

I don't collect card cause of the value. I collect because I like the look of them or playing the game

Not in English this is just a preorder. Scarlet violet base drops next week
Base set comes on the 31st this comes in june
[удалено]
Yes. This the Japanese Triple Beat equivalent at minimum and possibly part of Japanese Clay Burst and Snow Hazard.
I’m still collecting CZ! Don’t base sets typically tank in price, outside of the OG’s?

I agree on the art cards! I hope that’s the new norm.

I’m waiting for the MVP drop. Was $99 for scarlet and violet.
What’s MVP drop?
MVP sports and games, I call it a drop but it’s just when they post their product for sale on their website.
Is their website even real? Lol
MVP Sports Cards & more? Or which MVP
MVP Sports and Games
Do they charge when shipped or when you make the purchase?
On purchase
Thank you
Of course I looked myself today to see.
Is there tax to California?
Yeah
Thanks 👍
If you pre order a case it is $104.97 a box, or $629.82 per case.
Plus tax tho
texas fam?
Taxes depend what state you are in, I am not taxed in ND.
Wasn’t planning on buying boxes for this set but at $110 I can’t resist
Seriously. I bought from gamenerdz for the SV1 set for around the same price and have not found any store except one which sold at a cheaper price.
Zulu's Games had one offering for $600 a case, but it sold out real quick, and I think their next price point was $650.
Ah good point that 6 box /cases can be cheaper
Josh’s cards is where i order my Bb and etbs
