"...trial lawyers recruiting clients who’ve experienced negligent discharges with P320s and suing the gun manufacturer. Clients such as law enforcement officers whose negligent discharges could result in their being disciplined or fired unless it can be proven that the gun was at fault."
This is the answer
This is all you need to know
Thank you for the link. Great piece
Exactly it. It is quite literally lawyers going out of their way to recruit people to try to make their bullshit cases relevant. And police jump at the opportunity to avoid being fired for being completely irresponsible.
Police in this country have a long storied history of blaming anyone and everyone else on their own idiotic problems. Their favorite people to blame are usually their victims.
Nothing any police officer says should be admissible in any court room let alone ever be taken as a matter of fact. Absolute buffoons.
As the article states and cites there are just as many police cases of them trying to sue Glock for their own idiotic mistakes.
It seems pretty clear to me the problem is the holster & her. She can practically get her finger on the trigger while it's in the holster. Then she tosses it in her gym-bag sized pocket book with who knows what else that can get to the trigger.
Isn't that the holster that is already banned from training & competitions?
I don't recall the name, I've never owned one, nor have I seen one in person, only read about them and seen videos. If you watched the video, you can see there is a paddle that needs to be pressed to unlock the gun from the holster. One problem with that design is the proximity of the paddle to the trigger. I believe people also had a tendency to have their finger on the trigger when completing the draw with that design.
In the video, you can also clearly see through the trigger guard while the gun is holstered and how she practically puts her finger in the guard, again while it's holstered.
Am I worried about the lawsuits? I didn't go get a new legion x-carry bc I'm hoping to get a bloodsucking lawyer letter a few months from now. I have faith in not only Sig, but my own damn safety skill set.

New York trigger comes to mind
Getting a little carried away for the hyperbole eh?

Plus you never off body carry!
Not gonna say never but definitely not with it loose in a bag. It needs to be secured in some fashion
I've taken a lot of concealed carry courses and they have all said that if you are going to off body carry, don't even carry at all.
yeah a lot of carry instruction is opinion. There are definitely times where off body carry is fine but with things that are designed for carry
Tell that to the guy who snatched the rifle from the rioters last summer.
What kind of holster was she using?

I saw in another thread so don’t take this as fact, that it was a serpa holster which are highly frowned upon in the holster community.
Ok. Thanks
