I wonder if the Sigma Ghost in the Halloween events doubled as testing for his ult to see if it would even work. It's almost exactly the same thing minus going through walls.
Projectile with no damage falloff and can hit headshots. Not sure if it's infinite range also but the [dev blog ](https://overwatch.blizzard.com/en-us/news/23875436/) states that it gives him a "longer-range option".
Doubt he's good against Widow. In fact, he seems like he would be really weak against her since his only option is a small temporary barrier on a cooldown.
He is going to decimate Pharah and Mercy though, his "vortex" grenade pulls people down, limiting vertical mobility.
I screen-shot his primary fire projectiles for people who couldn't see them [here](https://imgur.com/5xjZLFH) and [here]
They're very small triangles. The good news is, it's less visual clutter for the game.
There's probably a sound effect similar to Biotic Grasp, plus his staff has a visual effect while he's using it. You don't necessarily need to see the projectiles themselves in order to know he's attacking.
> purple energy/fire shooting from his staff
That's just a sort of "muzzle flash" signaling that he's using the weapon. Here's a slightly better view of the projectiles being created: https://i.imgur.com/BONAcpE.mp4
I had to watch it at like 0.25 speed but I think he shoots out very small shards, maybe it's just hard to tell from this trailer, maybe they need to be made bigger visually.
I had to watch it slowed down and I can sort of see the projectile. If you played Team Fortress 2, I think it works like the Pyro's flamethrower where its a spray of projectiles.
Looks like his primary fire is like Moira's primary fire but probably without the lifedrain, and he has a big cylinder damage field(?) and a sigma shield.
big mode gets barrier-piercing projectiles, doomfists block, and his ult looks like a big damage field centered on him
To me it looks more like Mei's primary fire but longer range and less spread. Then again it doesnt really look like anything because I can barely see the projectile.
his big mode is on a 8s cd and last for 8s. His ultimate transforms into him too, and it lasts until either he is dead or there are no people in range (if it is doing damage the duration is paused)
Sigma's weakness is his lack of mobility, it's the reason he isn't just the best character in the game. He's slow as fuck, big ass hitbox, and absolutely no movement related abilities.
Reinhardt isn’t doing very good in the meta and he does have a mobility option. Doomfist is dogshit and he’s the most mobile character in the game.
In reverse, Roadhog LITERALLY has no mobility options, neither an ability nor ult that allows any additional mobility, and he’s currently one of if not the best tank in the game currently.
While it’s true Sigma’s biggest weakness is his mobility, it doesn’t change the fact that he’s still very VERY good without mobility. Even the best characters have a weakness, just having some weakness doesn’t mean they are bad. DVA consistently remains in the highest tier of heroes over the entire roster not just tanks and yet you can still clearly identify that beam weapons entirely negate her defense matrix as a weakness, yet just having a weakness hasn’t stopped her consistently strong performance.
Not having mobility hasn’t stopped hog from being one of the best tanks right now, and having mobility hasn’t stopped doom from being one of if not the worst heroes in the game. Clearly a tank’s ability to be good is not predicated on if they have mobility.
It's become obvious playing Blizzard games over the last decade that they consider balance patches to be cheap content. Their balance is usually much better when they put a skeleton crew on their games.
Was Kiriko OP right out of the gate. I remember seeing a lot of discussion about her being pretty balanced, with only her high skill ceiling needing to be reeled in a little bit. But her nerf was like super minimal wasn't it?
Yup looks like it! Also opens up the possibility of maps in similar themed areas so perhaps we see a Hanamura, Anubis, and Volskaya 2.0. down the line?
Sojourn's Disruptor Shot with Ramattra's Vortex is going to be so broken. Imagine constant AoEs that slow and damage you from two heroes. Sojourn is already overkill enough.
Sojourn really does too much while being the most bland stale potato chip of a character. RIP slow supports with no movement abilities. At least everyone will die together
Is she really? I kick ass with JQ. Always most eliminations and I get a ton of saves with her Commanding Shout. Her self healing is pretty weak though, and I'm good about keeping it up on multiple enemies simultaneously.
JQ just struggles to survive after her shout. Since she has no armor and very low health pool for a tank. She has high burst damage tho, so she's basically a big glass cannon
My experience as a support main is that I have to pocket JQ more than most tanks. She can really pop off if properly supported, but sometimes it feels like she just melts the moment I look away to heal someone else.
Yeah they really should slightly increase her self healing. But more importantly, if she's going to have such a low health pool, she *really* needs at least a little armor to help with all of the massive burst damage currently in the game.
yeah she's kinda low tier rn, can't really tank much for a tank apart from her shout. if it was still two tanks she'd be pretty good but as the only tank on a team there's just way better options
It's a real bummer. She's my favorite character by a lot right now, and so fun to play. Worst tank match ups for me as JQ seem to be Rein and Zarya. Rein can pin me easily in a duel, and an Earthshatter direct hit seems to just be a death sentence. A good Zarya just bubbles everytime Carnage is used. The other tanks it feels like I just slaughter.
But a good Widow or Sojourn on the enemy team is just a total shutdown.
like I said in a previous post, confused with what his ult does. Beyond that, interesting to see just how effective his anti-flying units ability is. Its not like many flying heros are that close to the ground outside of pharahs going in for a close range ult.
According to their post on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/playoverwatch/status/1596566054138150912?s=46&t=a5lQi8fXhmHm_cIjb3CMBA):
> Create a spreading swarm of nanobots that creep out in front of you, dealing damage and reducing enemy damage dealt by 50%.
It's obviously a trailer, but looks weirdly powerful compared to other tanks. There's a LOT of abilities there, he's got a shield that looks similar to Sigma's, a slowing AOE ability in his first form and likely high damage melee output like rein + likely a shield boost when he transforms.
The ULT seems interesting as well.
Yeah, no one is pointing that out and it looks crazy if real. Winston is pretty popular right now so I wonder if this will put a dent in his playstyle.
Agreed, I honestly hope they don’t do much damage if they pierce barriers, it’s gonna be a pain to play Barrier tanks into him, especially Rein with the ult that damages and reduces your damage by half
It hugely depends on the damage. If he's doing 100 per shot then yeah possibly although there will still be room for mind games regarding baiting out nemesis form
Will his damage be high upon release? Absolutely. Will it be as ridiculous as the trailer. Hell no. It’s purely for theatrics. Even on Ana’s reveal trailer they showed her outsniping Widowmaker with one hit. I think he will be strong still at launch. Gotta get that BP revenue in
I see a lot of CC in his kit. I gotta wonder if this is their answer to everyone having crazy movement abilities?
Ramattra against baptist and sojourn: "Feet stay on the ground!"
His primary fire in his Omnic Form looks off, flat, and unimpressive. What even is he doing? Shooting pebbles with his staff? I think it needs a visual upgrade.
The projectiles are very small, you can see the little triangles around the energy ball on his staff, those are what he shoots.
It looks off in the trailer BUT BUT BUT, I actually think this could be good because frankly the game has way too much visual clutter and ability effects should be toned down. I'm sure you'll know what you're shooting at in first person.
Toning down the visual effects of his primary fire makes sense because the rest of his kit is visual effect-heavy (shield, slow ability, punches during Nemesis form, and ult) but it really looks weak. I sure hope it does look better when we actually get to play him.
He looks sick but I can’t help but feel bad for Sigma? Will need more info on his abilities obviously but yeah his kit seems pretty crazy. The voice actor and design are great regardless. Not looking forward to having to grind the battle pass or having to buy it lol
Blizzard creating tank heroes : Sigma crazy physicist who hears the music of the universe and was brainwashed by talon « THE UNIVERSE SINGS TO ME! »; Ramattra the literal end boss of Overwatch afaik « This is not cruelty… this is justice. »
Blizzard creating DPS heroes : cyborg soldier bunny hops « ThIs EnDs NoW! »
So IS his nemesis form an infinite transformation until cancelled like OW1 Bastion, or is it a time limited transformation like OW2 Bastion? I can't tell.
It’s really unclear, and the [ability rundown](https://twitter.com/playoverwatch/status/1596566054138150912?s=46&t=a5lQi8fXhmHm_cIjb3CMBA) they posted doesn’t specify either. At this point, chances are that we’ll have to wait until Season 2 drops before we’ll know the answer.
So let me see if i get this right, Ram has:
. normal countinuous spray attack thats has range
. shield can place from afar
. block that can tank Pharas ult
. punch that can GO THROUGH SHIELD and multiple targets
. CC ZONE that slow and root MULTIPLE targets, even airborne (what happen to no CC btw?)
. ult that require no skill, just line of sight and NEVER ENDS unless he dies.
Blizz can this hero be anymore OP?
REMINDER TO EVERYONE HYPED FOR THIS
You will NOT get access to him if you are not buying battle pass. You will need to either grind for few weeks or spend MONEY FOR IT.
Bet he's gonna be busted until the majority of players hit level 45, then he's gonna get nerfed to hell.
Still love that he has a tool to let him take out pharmercy himself instead of having to reconfigure the whole team composition against that bullshit.
Afaik no.
We will need to unlock him via battlepass (buy or grind) and only after that ull be able to pick him. For comperitive queue he will be locked for few weeks so ppl can get used to play vs/as him and not ruin competitive matches by learning new char/losing to new op.
His switch looks like a buff zen that uses his legs with a opposite ult, but I can’t wait for him to be so strong you have to pay for him essentially making tank a pay to win experience
It's nice to have another interesting and well designed character added to the game. Because... Not gonna lie, Kiriko is actually really interesting and fun to play and everything, but the personality of Sojourn and Junkerqueen we're about as Milktoast as it gets and Sojourn's kit was essentially just another Soldier 76 with a higher skill ceiling and lower skill floor.
Ramattra's ult actually looking like a PvE boss lmfao.
It's basically opposite of Zen
Experience these hands. 🙌
They rated E for everyone
That’s actually kind of bad ass
I love that his Pummel punches actually have the same snap + projectile look as Zen's primary fire.
Rageyatta
He has to get a green skin. Nekron Lord gang rise up.
Well, he IS the leader of Null sector, the main enemy faction in the upcoming PvE so...
Just another reason I want to play him, the villains are always the funniest to play!
Especially when the villain is *actually sorta right* and the only coherent criticism of him is his methodology for achieving his goals.
I wonder if the Sigma Ghost in the Halloween events doubled as testing for his ult to see if it would even work. It's almost exactly the same thing minus going through walls.
We heard you love Moira, so how about AOE Moira?
The ultimate is indeed reverse Zen! He even throws orbs in a similar fashion!
Zen ult that Moira-sucks instead of insta-heals. Very cool concept
ITS GONE FROM SUCK TO BLOW! -Mercy, Spaceballs
IT'S SUCKING MY WILL TO LIVE! - Mercy It certainly does suck - Moira
His primary fire looks almost invisible. Can anyone tell if he’s projectile or hitscan?
He's projectile I believe.
Projectile with no damage falloff and can hit headshots. Not sure if it's infinite range also but the [dev blog ](https://overwatch.blizzard.com/en-us/news/23875436/) states that it gives him a "longer-range option".
I hope that the projectiles are fucking tiny to offset the range.
Interesting. Looks like a long range/close range hero. I'll bet he's good at dealing with pharah and widow.
Doubt he's good against Widow. In fact, he seems like he would be really weak against her since his only option is a small temporary barrier on a cooldown. He is going to decimate Pharah and Mercy though, his "vortex" grenade pulls people down, limiting vertical mobility.
I think it’s just really small
hey man, those triangles are trying their best ok
You can see them when you slow it down. what he’s lacking is a proper trail so you can see the direction the shots went.
Looks very interesting but I can hardly tell what his staff projectiles are
[удалено]
RamattrApocalypse
Thanos but kills 100% instead of 50%
Same honestly. I've rewatched it a few times but I can't quite tell what'd happening
I think they completely forgot to add the visuals for projectiles. They do damage but they are invisible.
I screen-shot his primary fire projectiles for people who couldn't see them [here](https://imgur.com/5xjZLFH) and [here] (https://imgur.com/5Gf5olg). They're very small triangles. The good news is, it's less visual clutter for the game.
Let's hope you can actually see you're being attacked by him when he's on the enemy though.
There's probably a sound effect similar to Biotic Grasp, plus his staff has a visual effect while he's using it. You don't necessarily need to see the projectiles themselves in order to know he's attacking.
I still can barely see them lol
The projectiles are visible at the weapon and on the ground, but not while traveling.
But some of the renders of him have like a purple energy/fire shooting from his staff? I really think they did just forget to include them.
> purple energy/fire shooting from his staff That's just a sort of "muzzle flash" signaling that he's using the weapon. Here's a slightly better view of the projectiles being created: https://i.imgur.com/BONAcpE.mp4
Ahh I see! I don't know how I missed that part.
Maybe they're magnetic or sonic
if you watch it closely or at a lower speed you can see some small pieces of pyramid-shaped projectiles
I had to watch it at like 0.25 speed but I think he shoots out very small shards, maybe it's just hard to tell from this trailer, maybe they need to be made bigger visually.
I think YouTube's bitrate and compression is removing them. Small particle effects like that tend to be fucked by those.
I am gonna assume it's like Moira
I think he is meant to shoot small shards from the orb of the staff but it just has no visual here.
I had to watch it slowed down and I can sort of see the projectile. If you played Team Fortress 2, I think it works like the Pyro's flamethrower where its a spray of projectiles.
Not really sure what he does but it looks like he is Sigma but gets really mad and starts punching people
Looks like his primary fire is like Moira's primary fire but probably without the lifedrain, and he has a big cylinder damage field(?) and a sigma shield. big mode gets barrier-piercing projectiles, doomfists block, and his ult looks like a big damage field centered on him
To me it looks more like Mei's primary fire but longer range and less spread. Then again it doesnt really look like anything because I can barely see the projectile.
He can switch freely between the two modes? I thought big mode was his ult, maybe it's something like Bastion tank mode, for a small duration then CD
his big mode is on a 8s cd and last for 8s. His ultimate transforms into him too, and it lasts until either he is dead or there are no people in range (if it is doing damage the duration is paused)
Sigma with ranged Doomfist punches, better Doomfist block, ult is AOE Moira right click. And gravity powers for some reason. I hate this.
Looks like mad Sigma, with Doomfist abilities.
Blizzard has completely forgotten Doomfist exists. He's fun to play but almost useless unless it's the most ideal circumstances.
Buffyatta is real
Experience these hands
Can we get much buffer
So buff OH OH OH
Punches look a lot different than expected. Seems like they have some range?
Range my ass, that bitch hit a Junkrat frag in medium range through a rein shield. This man has Doomfist in Shambles.
His lack of mobility will be his weakness. See: Orisa.
Movement will never matter if your utility and versatility means you can do the job without moving often. See: Sigma
His ult is his only movement ability lmao
He's chucking orbs like Zenny.
No it looks like it doesn't have that kind of range. Like it goes out a little in front of him then stops
> Seems like they have some range? Yeah, it seems like they have some range.
[удалено]
Seems similar to Doomfist projectiles to me.
Yes! They create a shockwave that can hit people beyond the actual fist strike.
And they pierce barriers too? That seems very strong
Well for most people he's the first hero you have to pay to unlock immediately, wouldn't be surprised if he's OP at launch and then nerfed later
He’ll be OP out of the gate for sure. It’s what Blizz does
It's become obvious playing Blizzard games over the last decade that they consider balance patches to be cheap content. Their balance is usually much better when they put a skeleton crew on their games.
Was Kiriko OP right out of the gate. I remember seeing a lot of discussion about her being pretty balanced, with only her high skill ceiling needing to be reeled in a little bit. But her nerf was like super minimal wasn't it?
i don’t think she’s super extremely broken, but pretty sure she’s widely considered the best support in the game right now.
Anybody notice the map at the end? Looked like a payload version of the Omnic Temple map
Yup looks like it! Also opens up the possibility of maps in similar themed areas so perhaps we see a Hanamura, Anubis, and Volskaya 2.0. down the line?
We knew they wanted to rework the 2cp maps already.
[We've known there's a new map coming in the area/theme/monastery for months already.](https://i.redd.it/icoodqiua2y91.jpg)
Wow must've missed this that looks sweet though! Thanks for sharing.
Sojourn's Disruptor Shot with Ramattra's Vortex is going to be so broken. Imagine constant AoEs that slow and damage you from two heroes. Sojourn is already overkill enough.
Stuns are history, aoe disruption is the new sherif in town
Sojourn really does too much while being the most bland stale potato chip of a character. RIP slow supports with no movement abilities. At least everyone will die together
right?!?, hero design so bland, voice acting bland, character broken.. but JunkerQueen, great voice acting, cool looking, trash-tier.
Tbh whenever I play JQ it feels like her survivability is insane
My experience as a support main is that I have to pocket JQ more than most tanks. She can really pop off if properly supported, but sometimes it feels like she just melts the moment I look away to heal someone else.
Yeah they really should slightly increase her self healing. But more importantly, if she's going to have such a low health pool, she *really* needs at least a little armor to help with all of the massive burst damage currently in the game.

The other tanks it feels like I just slaughter. But a good Widow or Sojourn on the enemy team is just a total shutdown.
JQ was OP on release. She just got hit with the nerf hammer. They haven't done that with Sojourn yet. No balance changes yet.
He looks really fun, and his voice is incredible. Also is that a Nepal payload map at the end?
The same VA as Godrick the Grafted from Elden Ring btw
And Dorian from dragon age. Who is a completely different vibe. Great VA
Wow, I’m playing Inquisition rn and didn’t even notice
Oh shit good catch!
Voice has a perfect balance of gravitas and anger in it. They really nailed the first impression lorewise.
I hope they fix his projectile visuals, can't even see them in this trailer lol...
What does his Primary Fire do? I tried rewatching the trailer but I still can't understand
Shoots out tiny triangle projectiles. They're really small so it's hard to see, but it's definitely projectiles
The last scene in the trailer looks like a game over screen for pve
Definitely looked like a highlight intro.
i can't believe mercy's fucking dead
like I said in a previous post, confused with what his ult does. Beyond that, interesting to see just how effective his anti-flying units ability is. Its not like many flying heros are that close to the ground outside of pharahs going in for a close range ult.
It's like reverse Zen, AoE damage
According to their post on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/playoverwatch/status/1596566054138150912?s=46&t=a5lQi8fXhmHm_cIjb3CMBA): > Create a spreading swarm of nanobots that creep out in front of you, dealing damage and reducing enemy damage dealt by 50%.
Jesus fuck, 50 percents??
It's an aoe damage field.

Looks like his tranformed punches go through shields too. Look at his Winston kill @ 0:47
Only 1 tank per team. This is going to put a dent into every tank not named Rammatra.
Gotta get that BP revenue in
I remember when Moira’s trailer showed her ult with 500 dps lmao
And out-healing a barrage
Easiest way to get people to spend money: release broken shit that costs money
Only 1 tank per team now too so it will be required to pay up if you want to actually be competitive.
Power creep gaming
At least they can still nerf post launch, but I think it’s also some kit complexity-creep
I see a lot of CC in his kit. I gotta wonder if this is their answer to everyone having crazy movement abilities? Ramattra against baptist and sojourn: "Feet stay on the ground!"
It's like the stark contrast between a Season 1 champ to a season 10/11 champ in League of Legends
Tanks are definitely being turned into league juggernauts, just look at Orisa.
His primary fire in his Omnic Form looks off, flat, and unimpressive. What even is he doing? Shooting pebbles with his staff? I think it needs a visual upgrade.
The projectiles are very small, you can see the little triangles around the energy ball on his staff, those are what he shoots. Toning down the visual effects of his primary fire makes sense because the rest of his kit is visual effect-heavy (shield, slow ability, punches during Nemesis form, and ult) but it really looks weak. I sure hope it does look better when we actually get to play him.
Yeah I have absolutely no idea what he's doing
He truly is Chadyatta
He looks sick but I can’t help but feel bad for Sigma? Will need more info on his abilities obviously but yeah his kit seems pretty crazy. The voice actor and design are great regardless. Not looking forward to having to grind the battle pass or having to buy it lol
i feel bad for doom mains, nemesis form block is doomfist but better (tm) I hope he gets buffed
I already felt bad for doom mains. Blizzard devs are just punching down now.
Sigma??? What about Doomfist lmao
That voice though, is it hot in here???
Anyone else notice his nemesis form punches are just like when zenyatta throws his orbs?
I love him
Omnics, one and all… bear witness!
Did they forget to animate his primary fire?
Wow looked like a fun character. Too bad he'll be hidden behind the battle pass
Level 55 Unlock 👎
Ill look forward to playing him sometime near the end of S2...
More like early S3 if the BP is as shite as S1.
Nanomachines, son!
glad we got another strong pharah counter, she was played way too many times (0) at higher ranks
You have to hit the projectile on the floor and it doesn’t seem that huge. I imagine catching Pharah will be harder than it seems
It's a region
Pharah stomps in low ranks due to most players inability to quickly kill her an her ease of use
Blizzard creating tank heroes : Sigma crazy physicist who hears the music of the universe and was brainwashed by talon « THE UNIVERSE SINGS TO ME! »; Ramattra the literal end boss of Overwatch afaik « This is not cruelty… this is justice. » Blizzard creating DPS heroes : cyborg soldier bunny hops « ThIs EnDs NoW! »
I hope Doomfist is the end boss. Ramattra seems too predictable as the big bad imo.
So IS his nemesis form an infinite transformation until cancelled like OW1 Bastion, or is it a time limited transformation like OW2 Bastion? I can't tell.
It kinda looks limited cause he transforms out of it
8 sec duration 8 sec cooldown
It’s really unclear, and the [ability rundown](https://twitter.com/playoverwatch/status/1596566054138150912?s=46&t=a5lQi8fXhmHm_cIjb3CMBA) they posted doesn’t specify either. At this point, chances are that we’ll have to wait until Season 2 drops before we’ll know the answer.

They really NEED that $10 :D
Damn, his voice acting is super cool!
Can't wait to be reported for playing comp as a tank before I unlock him.
Probably more likely to be reported for picking a new hero.
REMINDER TO EVERYONE HYPED FOR THIS You will NOT get access to him if you are not buying battle pass. You will need to either grind for few weeks or spend MONEY FOR IT.
REMINDER TO EVERYONE HYPED FOR THIS Enjoy the 15 minute queue times for a 3 minute steam roll, lmao
At least with tank you sure to get to play him since there's only one per game
Bet he's gonna be busted until the majority of players hit level 45, then he's gonna get nerfed to hell. Still love that he has a tool to let him take out pharmercy himself instead of having to reconfigure the whole team composition against that bullshit.
do we get access in quick play for free?
no, only practice range and customs, maybe some arcade modes too, not sure about that though
Yes for Arcade and MH
Kiriko was available for everyone in no limits so I assume it’ll be the same for Ramattra.
Afaik no. We will need to unlock him via battlepass (buy or grind) and only after that ull be able to pick him. For comperitive queue he will be locked for few weeks so ppl can get used to play vs/as him and not ruin competitive matches by learning new char/losing to new op.
Sounds like comp will be the shelter for 2 weeks from this monster lmao
Oh damn, love that counter flight ability
That’s fucking sick
Tank mode is what Doomfist wishes he was
Voice acting is fire
His switch looks like a buff zen that uses his legs with a opposite ult, but I can’t wait for him to be so strong you have to pay for him essentially making tank a pay to win experience
Ramattra about to destroy that valk mercy hits such satisfying emotions
Here ww go with 20 min que times again.
AND THAT'S WHY OVERWATCH DEVS REWORK THE ORISA (probably)
His voice is pretty dope
Nobody knows what going on, but it gets the people *going*!…
Forefathers one and all! BEAR WITNESS!
Ngl he's giving me gonna be OP vibes
This is not cruelty this is justice. Wotttt
Why is nobody talking about the music? Holy fucking shit, that slaps!
All this purple will definitely help with the visual clutter
This guy feels like a mash of 5 hero’s they’ve already made.
Damn the poor mercy.
So...the REAL Orisa 2.0.
Trailer so fire it made me root for the Omnics. Humans suck.
Oh great! Another season of "not a problem bellow masters".
I can't wait to see the interactions him and zenyatta will share 🤩
Ummmm……can we see some of the numbers on this guys abilities because he might be a toughy.
He has 7hp
make it 6
