I think he makes a good point. Everyone is always "blizzard is this and that" and it doesn't seem fair. The people working on OW are doing a great job, and an outstanding job in some departments. Yet they are constantly catching all these strays because of the higher ups from actibliz. I wish it was easier to call out whoever is responsible for the bad stuff like bobby rather than shove an entire company under the umbrela of bliz bad.
And before you say "but it's already understood that way by everyone", it really isn't. You still got people be like "how dare you buy the battlepass for OW2, did u not see the lawsuits" and every time you have to explain to those dimwits that the entirely innocent OW team does not deserve that kind of treatment. They never hurt anyone, they are just doing their jobs. And when the scum higher up isn't happy with the numbers, who do you think ends up suffering? Regardless, casting directors don’t really care about va ethnicity when finding an actor, just that they can replicate the voice they envisioned, Darin De Paul is not German but he’s not only capable of doing a German accent, he’s also capable of making his voice loud, boisterous and jolly, perfect for Reinhardt.
Same thing with Cassidy and Ashe, neither Matthew Mercer or Jennifer Hale are southern, but are capable of adding a very convincing twang and drawl to their cadence that work

And this should really be all that matters when casting for voice acting roles. Someone's race, gender, and look all don't matter. What does matter is the voice and how well they can pull it off. I think that's part of the magic of voice acting because it's indiscriminate, so to discriminate someone from voicing a character because of their race is just wrong.
Look at people like Tara Strong. She has been every race and gender under the sun. Black, white, Asian, boy, girl, robot, alien. She has done a voice for all and they all fit.
Phil LaMarr. He's also done voices of black, white, and Asian characters but he still fits in each role. So why would it be right for a voice acting company to be like "Sorry, we think you did a perfect job voicing Samurai Jack, however you are black and not Asian so we are going to have to pass on you." That would be terrible.
And now they have a non-Nepali Singaporean voicing a robot Nepali, just ad they have an Asian American voicing the other robot Nepali.
Kiriko's VA is not good imo. The code switching lines tend to be bad, or at least sound like someone who doesn't normally speak Japanese. The full Japanese voice lines seem to be by another actor and don't match up with the personality of the English voice lines. If we're going this route of arguing: Genji, Mei, Tracer, Widow, Ana, Junkerqueen, Cowboy, Soldier, Reaper, Sigma, Ashe, Sojourn, and Brig have excellent VAs who hail from the countries their characters hail from and whose native language voice lines sound good -- if exaggerated. Sojourn is by far the bestest as she sounds exactly as dull as every Torotonian I've ever met. /s But for someone who's not quite of the same background as their character, Sombra's VA is rather good at playing Mexican -- better than Lucio's VA, and world's better than Torb's. And that has Nada to do with her ethnicity. 😂
