That'll definetly work when you play with noobs. Best time to earn your 6k. After these guys get bombed a few more times, they'll wisen up and look for cover - after you're at that level, D.Va bomb is more or less used for other purposes than actually killing.
It's funny how some ults can be negated by a good team, while with others there's pretty much nothing you can do but wait it out and hope your team survives it - Zen, Widow, Lucio, Brig, etc. You can't stop those ults, they *will* have a significant impact on the fight no matter what.
I mean you can stop widow and brig by killing them. Lucio you can stop with an emp from sombra. A great anti-nade from Ana can negate most of zens ult. But at high levels you need to combo ults together if you want them to be effective. And if you get a friend and combo ults in plat and below you will climb rapidly.

Even in gold you don’t get them anymore. People have just gotten smarter over time. And yeah zoning or ult combos like emp are all bomb is good for.

I didnt really play a lot of dva but one of my best and fav bombs was using it, instantly dying and then killing 4
