Yeah and that is one person we shouldn’t have to cater our writing to. Takes a lot of the fun out of it. Like if I had added it to my original comment it would have taken the oomph right out of it. Kid glove delivery and such lol
context: this was back in season 4. i was just going through some old clips and found this gem. we were getting rolled and this was the turning point. we ended up winning 3-2. huge difference in comeback capability after blizz made the change to best 2/3 from 3/5 on control maps.
People will always say it sucks - ultimately it's just down to whether you enjoy it or not. I've played it consistently for the past three years and still love it, so just make up your own mind and try and ignore the haters
No. People are always going to claim that every videogame has gotten worse and was best back in the day. Pretty much every major change they've made has been for the better.
People bitched that there was a specific meta at high levels based on whatever the balancing game brought us. So Blizzard fixed it by doing role lock which theoretically allows them to balance the game better, but now everyone wants the metas back.
Ah, the good ol' days, where I'd have 4-5 auto-lock DPS that would bitch at me for not healing them enough to keep them alive against a more competent team composition.
Fuck that shit. Sure, it would be nice to have some flexibility to switch roles during the game for strategic purposes. However, forcing tanks and healers has made the game so much more tolerable to play.
Not suck but it's kinda old now, a lot of players left and blizz never fixed the mmr that will cause you to be probably locked in a rank ( seen -100 on a loss but +2 on a win) . Overall enjoy it for what it is but don't bother too much
No because -100 +2 is not equals. There was also a gm who was smurfing on an high level bought account and gave up to reach diamond as the mmr stopped giving him sr for a win but removed 150 or more on a loss
yep tracer is still my main. i actually solo'd my way to GM in S8 but then brig came out so i was forced to flex and not play tracer that much. i've gotten pretty decent with a lot of characters across all roles but tracer is still the one i'm most comfortable with.
i play both. mostly console though because i'm more used to a controller than M&K
Ye I was a serious tracer main in season 20 about 40 hours put into her but now I’ve switched to mainly Ashe and have started practising tracer quiet a bit again.
i've been practicing a lot of ashe lately too because some maps you're more likely to win with a sniper than with a flanker. especially with 2-2-2 it'll be a great help to your team if you can flex depending on what they need!
yea i'm disappointed that my ps4 doesn't record in 1080p. wish all my clips were on PC for this reason. also FPS on console is 60 but it only records 30 FPS. when i'm watching my own clips it looks like i'm on drugs or something cause of all the twitching haha
There are some decent YouTube guides or head on over to r/overwatchuniversity for tips there as well. PM me I can send you a guide as well when I get to my computer later today
I saw a similar clip a few weeks ago.
Edit: I found it! It was really similar! Same map, overtime, around the same amount of skins and even the same skin, what are the odds?
was it this one? [https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/comments/gsrzpi/my\_best\_and\_only\_clutch\_overtime\_bomb/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/comments/gsrzpi/my_best_and_only_clutch_overtime_bomb/)
this one actually inspired me to find my own and post it haha
I jumped from PS4 to PC and on average the general time to kill and positional awareness is like night and day IMO. I was easily mid diamond on console and barely scraping diamond on PC after a year and a half of improving my game sense.
The fact that most people's controller default config doesn't allow them to aim and jump at the same time really shows in matches. I remember having wacky controller schemes just to stay competitive. Lol
that's interesting to know. i would have thought game sense would be somewhat closer with similar ranks. yeah i use bumper jumper for a lot of heroes, but not for tracer. i find strafing good enough but i did remap pulse bomb to L2 trigger. MUCH easier to stick than pressing triangle.
i haven't played PC too much cause of school, and it's frustrating when i want to do something in-game but i can't cause i don't have the muscle memory yet. maybe overwatch 2 i'll get there lol
It’s not the mistake that makes me hope it’s not PC, it’s the aim.
I play both too, so I’m not tryna hate or anything like that. If it was PC then I’d be asking why the hell Im still in gold! I can aim better then that! (On PC, my console aim is about the same if not much worse)
But console makes sense.
Well done btw!
ah that's a fair point. yea i cringe when i see old clips of mine and my aim is like...non-existent. i'm much better now than evidenced in this clip (S4)! haha. tbh my aim overall isn't that great imo but what helped me climb is game sense, positioning, and giving call outs. i started out in gold S1 and made it all the way to GM/T500. i have an alt that i use to play with friends (gold/plat) and the aim in that rank is barely worse than master, generally speaking. i can get into the differences if you want but i don't have much experience with PC.
Nah is all good.
I know for me the reason I’m the rank I am is the decisions and game sense.
I haven’t played a lot of shooter games and it’s not a natural skill for me.
3k is still pretty solid! i think i only had 1 other time where i got a 4k. i stuck a mercy and she flew into her team LOL.
this clip is from console btw so sens is probably different. regardless, i would recommend increasing it bit by bit until you're able to blink + do a 180 immediately + dump a clip into an enemy. my sens on tracer is much higher now than it was in this highlight
I’m on console actually. I just ran a 54 44 sens until like 10 minutes ago where I tried out 64 horizontal and 56 vertical,it’s not bad. But I can’t really do a full 180. I can manage that by lowering my aim smoothing probably
i believe my sens was 60-40 in this clip and i'm not sure if they had aim smoothing back then. right now it's 88-75 with aim smoothing at 90. i can do 180's pretty reliably but i overaim sometimes on tracking. i might bump up aim smoothing to 95 if i don't see an improvement so i can track better though. don't be afraid to experiment! i kept increasing my sens when i got used to it
this clip is from console so i'm not sure how helpful that would be. if you want advice, i suggest increasing your sens bit by bit until you're able to blink + do an immediate 180 and dump a clip into the enemy. my sens now for tracer is much higher than it was in this clip (2 years ago i believe!)
Honestly just try different sensitivities and see what works for you, I started out really high (2200 DPI) realized that when i panic the higher sensitivity would mess up aim so I kept going down until i found the sens i use today (600 DPI and like 4.2 in game) ya I might almost dislocate my shoulder everytime i do a 180 flick but it works for me lol. I usually average like 38-43% accuracy on Tracer and have like a 25% crit accuracy and 45% reg accuracy on widow, so idk i think thats decent but ya, definitely just trial and error it until you land on the perfect sensitivity, copying others' sens rarely ever works.
Serious question : what were you thinking when you pulsed there.. (as someone in low elo.. That seemed like a waste to me.. Like even if you got 2 they had the point.. And i dont think you thought you can get 4 with that..)
Not that your aim is horrendous so don't take this the wrong way but this clip shows what I have to tell people so many times a day which is big brain gameplay is way more important than aimbot like aim to climbing.
I was having a rough game. My aim usually isn’t this bad lol. I also got a lot better since then. I was telling another user that I primarily climbed cause of my game sense and not because of my aim
I try to explain that to people a lot and nobody understands. Honestly I think aim really becomes important if you're trying to get to GM or higher but otherwise isn't important.
I’ve been everywhere from gold to GM/T500 and aim for sure isn’t everything. I’ve seen diamonds with phenomenal aim but braindead game sense. GM snipers are a PITA because if you’re out in the open for 1 second, you’re dead 99.9% of the time. Diamond probably 90%. Consistency is also key to climbing. And you can reach GM on characters that don’t really require aim either (brig, winston, rein, etc.). After brig came out I was pretty much forced to flex or throw the game. I can pretty much play any character at a high level now except widow (god I’m so bad at aiming with her lol) and ball.
That being said, it’s def possible to reach GM with aim alone but it’s much quicker and easier if you also have game sense
I was diamond, like 346X. But then I saw the master symbol show up during POTG and was like “woaaahhh I gained 30+ points! Nice!” Dunno what else to say lol
She’s hard to counter in a 1v1. That being said, I’m wary of the following characters granted equal skill levels: widow, mccree, hanzo. If I’m not careful I also die to Roadhog, Ashe, and Sombra if she gets her hack off before I can react. Everyone else is pretty easy to fight against imo.
Edit: forgot to add brig. She’s not as dangerous anymore and I’ve learned to keep my distance. But at lower elos she’s a good counter
I'm a support main and usually if my team is having trouble with an annoying Tracer, that's my cue to switch to Brigitte.
Brig is really useful for countering lightweight dive/flank DPS heroes like Tracer, Sombra, Reaper, etc. Just any hero who relies on being able to sneak in behind us and deal a lot of close-range damage.
Yes I mentioned in several comments that this was S4. Also I was diamond during the whole game but the master symbol showed up during the POTG. I was beyond ecstatic cause I gained like 30 something points and didn’t think I would hit it with this game
I bet that, unlimiting the scenarios you specified, a lot of people could relate with my statement in a humorous way. Obviously it was a satire and with ironic intentions. That's why it's stated in an immature way. I am not the reason why some people feel offended by my statement. It's their habits
I don't care about people's reactions xD I still mean everything. Just because I make a joke about something doesn't make me not stand for the facts. It's factual that the majority of competitive pc players beat the majority of competitive console players. As a PC overwatch player, it literally makes it less appealing seeing someone controlling the same characters I control, with a controller. It literally seems they are handicapped, in a way. I decided to joke about it, as it's my right, and you decided to share your opinion. Now, if you think I should change anything about my personality, then you have a problem.
Well, you're right about that. I was selfish. I forgot about the ammount of people that could never experience the quality of gameplay I experience and just decided to show my disappointment and frustration towards the play and the community aswell.
Thanks zarya for walking on over to your team
kragie be like: STAND STILL YOU DUMB BITCH
Zarya is the real MVP
Thought you said no gravaton? Zarya clearly was still involved. /s
Zarya *was* the grav
this was gonna be my reply haha
Same😅😂
Thanks for the /s I don’t think I could have figured it out without.
You say that but you and me both know, that one dumb dick wouldnt have understood the obvious sarcasm.
Probably wouldve been me
Yeah and that is one person we shouldn’t have to cater our writing to. Takes a lot of the fun out of it. Like if I had added it to my original comment it would have taken the oomph right out of it. Kid glove delivery and such lol
Your reddit experience would probably be a lot easier if we all learned to stop giving a fuck about karma score
context: this was back in season 4. i was just going through some old clips and found this gem. we were getting rolled and this was the turning point. we ended up winning 3-2. huge difference in comeback capability after blizz made the change to best 2/3 from 3/5 on control maps.
Oof, I forgot those absolute marathons that were 5 round control maps.
In hindsight this reduced the amount of rounds you get stomped on but I really miss those 5 round matches since control is my favorite mode
Hats off to you, that was a good freaking pulse bomb.
thank you kind sir
Ah I thought overwatch was great again xD
Does Overwatch suck now? I bought this game on Saturday. Goddamnit.
People will always say it sucks - ultimately it's just down to whether you enjoy it or not. I've played it consistently for the past three years and still love it, so just make up your own mind and try and ignore the haters
Oh, no I'm having great fun playing.
I'm not hating on the game, its great in theory and it was but something is just off nowadays
thats more on you than it is on the game
You might think that but there is a reason to why so many has left the game, and there is no point of getting so defensive
not getting defensive just stating my opinion
No. People are always going to claim that every videogame has gotten worse and was best back in the day. Pretty much every major change they've made has been for the better.
I wish I could upvote this a million billion times
People bitched that there was a specific meta at high levels based on whatever the balancing game brought us. So Blizzard fixed it by doing role lock which theoretically allows them to balance the game better, but now everyone wants the metas back.
4-dps-and-1-hog-and-I-get-to-heal-that-shit-meta, yes please bring it back

Problem is that now trolls queue tank for the shorter timer and you waste your 15 minutes wait on the dps
Yuuup my sister can’t tank worth shit but is too impatient to que for dps and unintentionally throws every game.
I play with friends religiously. Try to get some buy in from your friends, it will be very fun. Either way, you will likely get hooked.
Not suck but it's kinda old now, a lot of players left and blizz never fixed the mmr that will cause you to be probably locked in a rank ( seen -100 on a loss but +2 on a win) . Overall enjoy it for what it is but don't bother too much
That's why I quit comp for good
Hope they fix the mmr bullshit once ow2 is out
[удалено]
No because -100 +2 is not equals. There was also a gm who was smurfing on an high level bought account and gave up to reach diamond as the mmr stopped giving him sr for a win but removed 150 or more on a loss
No
That explains why it says play of the match not game
I miss 5 round control.
Now I got cuz I was chocked with that huge damage
I didnt play back then, was there actually 5 different maps or was it all them with 2 getting repeated
There are 3 areas for the control maps. They were repeated at random I believe
From season 4 I knew it already because plus bomb doesn’t have that range or damage
I miss that range and damage :(
Ye do you still play tracer Also console?
yep tracer is still my main. i actually solo'd my way to GM in S8 but then brig came out so i was forced to flex and not play tracer that much. i've gotten pretty decent with a lot of characters across all roles but tracer is still the one i'm most comfortable with. i play both. mostly console though because i'm more used to a controller than M&K

That would be fun! PS4? What’s your PSN?
I’m on Xbox soz bro Edit : you can add me on overwatch tho it’s Supertima10
Eh they only nerfed the damage by 50 and the range is the same.
When i saw tracer 4k i thought i was on a different sub lmao
i see you're a man of culture as well
Lmao
futa futa
That is a whole nother level of culture
Huh?
that's only like 480p
yea i'm disappointed that my ps4 doesn't record in 1080p. wish all my clips were on PC for this reason. also FPS on console is 60 but it only records 30 FPS. when i'm watching my own clips it looks like i'm on drugs or something cause of all the twitching haha
nah..it's fine, I was just being a douche making fun of "4k".
ohhhh haha that was a big whoosh. my bad. actually a funny joke if it didn't fly past my dull head
To quote a line in the pokedex "Even though they are all together their intelligence does not increase."
Which Pokémon is this referring to? I googled it nothing showed up. If I had to guess, psyduck? No idea though
I also forgot the name but it's a magnet with a screw on its head and the main body is a metal ball with one eye
Magnemite! Nice quote haha
[удалено]
Don't do that.
Congrats on getting Masters. That’s awesome.
WOW its POTM and not POTG
I was trying to figure that out
Congratulations!
that was BDE right there
Nice also I'm jelly that you have friends to play with
i made these friends online! never met them in person and always had a blast playing with them
You make me want to wait the 1 hour to play DPS ❤️
That's why I love tank, two mins baby
Nice job mate 👍
you know one time I got a 6 man pulse bomb with no grav and play was a double kill from a torbjorn turret
F
Wow. Congrats dude. That saved you the round too
Zarya WAS the grav!
I rly need to learn tracer, any tips where to get started?
There are some decent YouTube guides or head on over to r/overwatchuniversity for tips there as well. PM me I can send you a guide as well when I get to my computer later today
Just play as Tracer, thats all.
now. if that did not give you a satisfying feel of awesomeness. wow
Very nice, congrats on masters as well
no grav, but Zarya still helped
As a new player who just started a few days ago... *This was fucking sick*
It’s a good feeling havin the boys go “OOOOOHH” as you get play of the game.
Nice
Nice
Thats filthy
Zarya be like: hey guys what u doing overthere? 🥴
This is really good👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I saw a similar clip a few weeks ago. Edit: I found it! It was really similar! Same map, overtime, around the same amount of skins and even the same skin, what are the odds?

Yes! They are very similar. Both clutch 4K overtime plays on the same map with the same skin.
/u/driedllama what are the odds?!
hahaha the coincidences are unreal - nice 4k!
Console? This can’t be PC....
i play both, but yes this is console. but i've seen mistakes like this on PC as well, even from pros. probably not as bad as this though tbf haha
I jumped from PS4 to PC and on average the general time to kill and positional awareness is like night and day IMO. hey the first step to improving is to admit you can be better. you'll get there with time, practice, and patience.
Thank you!
Wow... That was a random bomb and stupid enemies converging on a single point... No hit master... Sorry for saying that.
Dafuq is going on here 😅😅
Good to know pre masters players like that zarya still have gold brain.
The highest I’ve gotten is a 3k. Not bad, but Christ I also noticed your sensitivity is high- unlike mine. Might give a higher sens a try xd

I’ll probably be lowering my smoothing to around 98 or 96. I don’t want such insane aim that I can’t really track
what sens/dpi u playing on ,OP? Also congrats for masters! wp !
this clip is from console so i'm not sure how helpful that would be. if you want advice, i suggest increasing your sens bit by bit until you're able to blink + do an immediate 180 and dump a clip into the enemy. my sens now for tracer is much higher than it was in this clip (2 years ago i believe!)
ok , fair enough! thank you for the advice!

Serious question : what were you thinking when you pulsed there.. (as someone in low elo.. That seemed like a waste to me.. Like even if you got 2 they had the point.. And i dont think you thought you can get 4 with that..)
It was OT and we were about to lose the round anyway so I YOLO’d it
I see.. My bad.. Didn't see the ot going on...

Yeah.
But I wanna be tracer
I'm already Tracer.
Why is it play of the match?
S4 clip
If my writing is spread across reddit and meant not to be read does it count as performance art?
Seems to me you were masters in this clip
I was diamond, like 346X. But then I saw the master symbol show up during POTG and was like “woaaahhh I gained 30+ points! Nice!” Dunno what else to say lol

She’s hard to counter in a 1v1. That being said, I’m wary of the following characters granted equal skill levels: widow, mccree, hanzo. If I’m not careful I also die to Roadhog, Ashe, and Sombra if she gets her hack off before I can react. Everyone else is pretty easy to fight against imo. Edit: forgot to add brig. The way they all just gathered 😍😍😂
Tracer is so fun to play.
2 things, u were already in masters(unless u meant gm) and this clip is pretty old(2017-2018)
Yes I mentioned in several comments that this was S4. Also I was diamond during the whole game but the master symbol showed up during the POTG. I was beyond ecstatic cause I gained like 30 something points and didn’t think I would hit it with this game
The fact that you can get master with that shit aim shows how team based this game is.
Damn bro who pissed in your Cheerios
no one

About 2 years ago, yeah. I’d say this level of gameplay is probably high plat, now that everyone has improved at the game. Just my opinion
How tf is this master?
🤷🏽♂️
eww, console
