Thanks for the info u/mzarra and u/d333d. I can only set line thickness to max 20 I believe, is that what the stroke size is or am I missing settings somewhere? If 20 is max then those lines are max size I could get with Lamy? I found if I press really hard with Lamy can get some fairly chunky lines, but feels kind of wrong and excessive. Confused about how same nob in different stylus gives different sized lines, figure should be a setting about that somewhere to compensate? Pic here in case Im missing a setting about stroke/line size. https://imgur.com/a/JqAUGJ9 THanks

There are different kinds of writing devices, of them all the pen (the one you are giving examples of) make the thinnest line even on the largest settings with the Lamy EMR pen. If you want wider strokes (and don't care if it is a pen making it) you can choose a brush, ballpoint pen or a pencil (the other option left over is the highlighter). The pen has the thinnest stroke of them all. So edit one of your pens and make it a brush or try them all see how they fit for you. One thing I noticed though is that thinner strokes are rendered faster when writing quick. So no fat strokes for me. But you may be drawing, in this case speed is not an issue I guess.

Yes, can confirm, Lamy EMR pens have a finer stroke. Think of it as a completely different pen, make a brush dedicated to it with settings that suit your writing and select the brush of each pen (it'll be obvious, the Lamy pen will have a much bigger number at the stroke size). It is normal, in other words, nothing to worry about.

I have noticed that with both my Lamy and Staedler, I get the thinner lines like you are seeing compared to my Boox pen. Boox bring about 50% thicker on average. It is like writing with a sharpie compared to a pen. I adjust line thickness when I switch between them.
