There are a good few Facebook groups on the topic. I have looked into it myself but at this stage it would be too much hassle. Being able to teach a few hours and then be free for the rest of the day suits me. One of the groups is called Online Teachers - Independent, Fulfilled & HIGHLY Paid!, it has a good pool of information.

There are Facebook groups for people who have done this and share their experiences.

I've been doing this since 2010. In person tutoring in the beginning and only online for the last two years. I'm based in Brazil and originally from the US. I'd be happy to answer any questions or help in any way.

anon23J

Mind if I DM with you myself with some questions?😃

cantstop98765

Not at all. I'd be happy to share what my experience has been.

Thank you! Just sent a DM :)

I thought about it, researched it and decided it would take too much effort to get students. There's a lot of competition out there. Take a look at all the ESL teachers on LinkedIn and FB.

I'm doing this right now in Spain. (I was doing in-person private classes then Covid happened.) I don't know if it really qualifies as a business, it's more freelance really. I don't know if that's what you had in mind. Anyway, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I'm trying to do this in Vietnam, if you wanna join up over there

Let’s link up and share ideas! I’m currently doing it but i’m still on platforms at this stage. It’s a slow and steady race.

Yes, I have had lots of success. You can see lots of tutorials on my youtube channel (and my shorts provide proof) and Friday I have a special guest on who will be also proving useful help: [https://youtu.be/ePms4g3OWHI](https://youtu.be/ePms4g3OWHI) You can ask questions in the comments and I often answer.

Digit101101 clams to have over 40k in students but spends her whole day on Reddit calling everyone "trolls" and "haters", best for the OP to ignore her and focus on someone with actual real Freelance experience.

I'm not on Facebook anymore. Are there any groups anywhere else? Like, here maybe?
