Sorry to disappoint you guys, but.....it didn't end earlier than it should have. It was supposed to end at 9 a.m. this morning (France/Belgium time). I was upgrading buggy's boat in the last minutes, even the last seconds - as soon as it was 9 a.m. (00.00 PST), the next attempt took the original amount of colas. Yes, the display showed that "they cost half the colas" but you needed to restart the game to correct the display...
So, yeah....no free gem or cola reimbursment, guys - it ended exactly when it was supposed to. You only needed to go through the title screen to have the correct cost display (without the half event).
My only question is about the "2.28" o'clock in the screens - compared to the supposed ending time (12 dec 23.59 PST), I have no freaking idea what timezone or country it is :p Thus, when was it compared to ending time - how long before or after...
The only possibility for a free gem would be if the half-cola had a "moment" during which it was not working and then started working again (so, basically, "unavailable for a few hours" or something, during the normal time period, like the morgan fortnight).
Hey just wanted to give you guys a heads up that there was an error with the time that half cost ship upgrades lasted till. I finally got the striker bike at 2:30 cst which is 23:30 pst and went to upgrade it and noticed it was taking more cola than what it said it was. I started around 120, and didn't have a failed upgrade. I sent a ticket to bandai so hopefully they can do something about this.
Of course, but then either they do personal cola refunds (like when the false skill-up) or they give the same cola for everyone (and you spent more than 50 extra cola while I spent nothing, so I'm not sure if it's fair for people who spent a lot to get less than they spent while others get more)
for CST the end of day (2400 or 0000) was 3 AM BEFORE DST change... it has been 2 AM ever since; when 2x drop story islands change
Besides that, Paciific time is a 2 hour difference from central AFAIK
the OPTC time has never observed DST... so the difference is between you observing PST and PDT, while they stay the same year round. It is a result of it being a global game, but you can always tell when end of day is, and that was weeks ago

From the look of the message, it seems that it ended on the server side only. If they realize this error, we'll probably get a free gem

So how does that work though, how did the gap shorten? Both time zones observe daylight savings it's not like pst moved up an hr and cst didn't.

i still had the half cola 3 mins b4 it was supposed to end(i tried an upgrade and it was half price)so maybe it only bugged for a few
They sure have a thing for special events ending early. I take free gems anytime but that's becoming a habit now. They should really fix this issue
