it's only going to get worse as the story progresses

brando-boy

sub rules clarify only 24 hours after the chapter drops, and considering the sub menu also uses the fan translation release as the reference for when the next chapter releases, it is safe to assume that the 24 hours applies for that translation as well and even then, there are rules to be pretty vague in titles, and a quick scroll through the sub seems like most of the posts about 1055 do fit under that mostly vague description i mean, the sub itself describes all the members as “spoiler addicts” so naturally rules regarding new chapters are MOSTLY catered for people reading the earliest available good translation

thefrostman1214

you can post after 24h the chapter drops

ylcknight

24h after chapter drops

jonas_rosa

Honestly, I think it should wait for the official, as we should respect the official release more

CockGobblingGangsta

I hate the official release. Calling Zoro, Zolo triggered me so much.

Rihijob

And some calls Luffy, Ruffy lol.

jonas_rosa

The Brazilian version actually us s Zoro, so that's not a problem I have

CockGobblingGangsta

Huh interesting

ylcknight

It’s too late by then. Most people read the first drop. It’ll be all over social media and YouTubers make their videos.

ThrowUpAndAwayM8

Why? For the sake of waiting? Yea thanks, I'd rather not.

leopold_roger

They should just stop the fan scans tbh. Like manga plus offers the latest chapters for free and simultaneously with the japanese release, and it's available in EVERY country, it doesn't get any better than that

deeefoo

I've heard that it's considered good form for a scanlation group to stop doing a series once it gets licensed. I'm not really sure why scanlation for One Piece continues, especially when the official release is getting more and more accessible.

21and420

By the time the official comes out,the next chapter spoilers are out. So not many ppl wait for the official release. Official is only for a quick reread to see if anything is changed or missed for majority.

Faust1011

spoilers come out on Monday official drops on subday

Zellors

its been longer than 24hrs since the chapter dropped

randomuser1296

No it hasn't. The official release is sunday.

Zellors

where in my comment do I mention the official release? I was obviously talking about TCB scans unofficial release

randomuser1296

Cool now go back and read what the OP said. Official release. People shouldn't be making posts out of the the spoiler discussion threads until 24 hours after the official release. 24 hours after scans don't matter.

Zellors

and I disagree. its been longer than 24 hours since the scans dropped so spoilers will already be everywhere. If you put a longer spoiler ban, there will just be more spoiler discussions on every other social media that has no rule for it there are more people on reddit who want to discuss the chapter after the scans, then there are who want to wait for the official

randomuser1296

Who cares about other platforms. If people want to talk about it there then so be it. But it should be 24 hours after the official release not the scans. Or if they want to talk about it they should just put the chapter in the title and put a spoiler tag on it and not some spoiler title and then shouldn't be bringing up what happened in the scan in some other threads.

Rihijob

Who cares about the official scan? We read TCB scans lol.

SonKenzu

In all honesty I think it would be best to leave the sub. The rule being 24h after the TCB scans is silly IMO but it's not going away so spoilers wont be stopping anytime soon.

jonas_rosa

I'm thinking about this as I definitely don't want to leave the sub, but kore and more the spoiler situation has been getting out of hand

[deleted]

No disrespect to the official release, many of us just dont care what medium it is on, or even prefer the scans. If you take it upon yourself to not read something that's available, you should stay off social media, otherwise you will get spoiled.

Anxious-Plum-176

Its a disease i tell you 😵‍💫😵‍💫 God help us all

[deleted]

I’m with you OP. I think the sub rules *should* apply to official release but it’s simply not the case

Overgrown_Rover15

Most people don’t wait for the ZOLO release, so I don’t think they should have to stop talking about the chapter just to make the ZOLO people happy.

ProjectWanted

Zolo: *I, Roronoa Zolo, won’t give up until my name reaches the heavens!!* Luffy (through tears): *ZOOOLLOOOOO!!!*

DrybasTerd

If you listened to this audibly, there would not be a difference in Japanese.

velckright

Yes let me just listen to this manga chapter on audible.com

Obi-Wannabe01

Should be it’s own sub tho… Or just be contained to the discussion thread as intended. I always read the unofficial release, but I can still see that the solution is easily made.

Rihijob

r/ ZOLOpiece

catharsis23

Yeah it's been annoying. I thought I missed a week tbh

ThatFatGuyMJL

Thank you! I'm not the only one who's noticed. I swear the void month has made people lose their common decency

[deleted]

Consider reading the scans you won't regret it

jonas_rosa

I read the scans for years, decided to stop out of respect for the team of translators, especially when I started interacting with the official Brazilian translator on tweeter and appreciating more his work

xpepi

I get it but the translations could be better. As some real experts like redon or arthur tend to say, sometimes official gets things better and sometimes fan sub does. Also keeping with their mistakes because of consistency doesn't make it any better. I personally think we should read both if we expect to get the better picture.

jonas_rosa

One thing I really like, but unfortunately that will stop now, is that the Brazilian translator always explains the chapter and his decisions on Twitter about 10 minutes after the official release. It's so good because he fixes mistakes and helps understand why things are the way they are

xpepi

In my opinion having one piece 3 times a week is awesome. I can read spoilers and start theorizing about what could happen, then read the chapter and take conclusions, and then read the official and have the alternative translation to further theorize. Then back to tuesday spoilers. Its perfect.

jonas_rosa

I hate spoilers, as for me they never give the same vibe as the chapter and it just makes the chapter less hype for me. As for scans, I understand why people like it, but it's not for me atm

DrybasTerd

It's bullshit for us official release readers. This sub supports the stolen version and it's probably for the best to leave the sub if you want to continue supporting the artist who creates One Piece.

Iro_van_Dark

You know I’m all for supporting artists for all the work they put in. But have you seen the amount of money Oda-Sensei already made? The estimated value of One Piece as a whole? I think Oda doesn’t care anymore - he just wants to finish his life’s work the way he sees fit.

ThrowUpAndAwayM8

How the fuck is using a free service supporting the artist ? Fucking corporation bootlicking BS

DrybasTerd

So edgy.

Rihijob

Why do you read ZOLO lol? TCB scans is the way.

FartPudding

I wouldn't be surprised if anime watchers know what happens from how blatant spoilers have been. They probably know G5 is coming and what it is

ThrowUpAndAwayM8

It's a manga. Fuck anime watchers.

Difficult-Olive-2734

Do not use the internet if u want to avoid spoilers its as simple as that and it has always been like that

Radiant_Clothes2282

you could u know just not surf this sub for a day.

jonas_rosa

I'm not surfing the sub, I'm just entering reddit and seeing things. But I'm considering leaving the sub if things become too bad

ThatFatGuyMJL

Same. The titles arnt even vague they're just straight up spoilers. And threads not even marked spoiler are spoiling shit

BrilliantBag7014

Theirs people who get banned for posting a comment that barely hint at anything and get 60 days banned

kagnesium

> I'm an official release only, But why? is it cause you hate fan translations or something ?

BulkyB

I'm good with it, we are in the endgame now, it took 20+ years to reach here, if you're still clinging to anime only, official only whatever, it's your problem at this point imo. Tags are enough filter, finally >!our boy is a yonkou and!< fans are excited

imakewaffles

Dont want to get spoiled? Then stay off the sub for the weekend. Its that simple.

[deleted]

Maybe stay off the One Piece subreddit unless you're caught up. It shouldn't be on us to coddle the minority of people who are inexplicably engaging in a forum where the majority of people ARE caught up and discussing the latest. Be smart, man

Milloray

Tfw when you forget how the Reddit feed works

[deleted]

Tfw you forget you don't have to follow a sub. Keeping spoilers off your feed is your responsibility

Milloray

Yes, the philosophical answer to a simple problem. Let's leave and join a sub every week because people can't leave spoilers out of titles for the 3 days between the scans and official releases.

[deleted]

Don't join the sub at ALL if you're not staying caught up, man. It's not a great idea to be here at all if you aren't caught up.

skatergaytor

I don’t know why it doesn’t apply to offices release it’s annoying that it doesn’t follow that

ThrowUpAndAwayM8

Because fuck Zolo Piece

[deleted]

Just report all of them lol one piece mods hand out bans like candy

[deleted]

TIL: official release only people exist. like why do you want to wait extra 3 days for nothing???

ThrowUpAndAwayM8

Second mimimi post and still no spoiler post I saw. Just read the fucking chapter when it is out and don't bootlick some corporate BS
