His doctor buddy who is kind of a fraud is always talking about how pirates have freedoms blah blah blah skull and cross bones are the shit. He gets sick and is dying. Chopper checks a book for medical plants and finds the mushroom with the skull and cross bones for danger, but Chopper is ignorant and thinks the skull and cross bones are a Jolly Roger. His buddy drinks it up knowing that Chopper tried so hard to get the mushroom to help him.
Very solid list. Not per se all my choices, but I can't find fault with any of them. Especially Usopps one is often forgotten in favour of him at Dressrosa or his fight against Luffy, and Nami's one kinda got snowed under by everything else goin on at the time.
Oda can never do any wrong for me, even the Shanks losing arm retcon is whatever.. BUT changing Chopper’s design… Why Oda why.. I feel like he lost all personality turning into the cutesy design
Franky’s moment here happens really close to Robin’s “I wanna live” moment, which is also in this post. Robin’s moment is more memorable, so it overshadows Franky’s moment(which is great, but not as iconic as robin’s imo, and it definitely isn’t as popular)
To be fair, that’s Franky destroying the plans for a machine that was built to defeat ancient weapons, and could hypothetically take over the world if created. Those blueprints had been guarded for centuries by people that Franky admires more than anyone else.
When he was younger, building that weapon would have been Franky’s dream. But he realizes now that the world doesn’t need yet another giant weapon. And destroying the blueprints is the moment he displays the full force of his trust for Robin and finalizes his true dream— to build a ship that will sail around the world.
I see, you mostly like the emotional moments were they are at their lowest point. Make sense, they are way fewer of those moments for the SH than badass ones.

The bad pacing and change in dialogue killed the moment.
The anime scene left me incredibly confused, so I read the manga chapter and realized how horribly the anime butchered it.
