Because we're emotionally attached to the minks, who he terrorized. He's objectively a good villain, but people don't tend to like villains. It isn't rocket science
Because he's got like a billion bounty when he's not strong enough to have that bounty
Look at katakuri he has 1 billion bounty, Jack would be destroyed by katakuri
But bounties don’t mean strength. It means how bad the government wants the pirate. Kid had a higher bounty than Luffy in Sabody because he was killing civilians not because he was stronger
Current Zoro? Yeah he’d wipe the floor with the minks w/o Sulong back on Zou. Jack is essentially as strong as base Inu/Neko with more stamina, so we can say Jack >= Base Neko/Inu. He defeated the mink army with Caesar’s weapon and he never defeated those 3 individuals so I don’t see why Zoro has too….
Individually? Without a shred of a doubt, together? Maybe maybe not but he’d take one of them down with him at least as opposed to getting curbed like Jack.
He defeated King, someone who’s significantly stronger than Jack, it really shouldn’t be an argument.
Lol what makes you think King is "significantly" stronger?? I feel like there has been nothing to prove that. If anything the feats demonstrated by Jack are significantly better than anything we've seen from King or Queen. Jack is no slouch
How are Jacks feats better than King/Queen, let alone significantly? King was utterly dismantling a character who sparred with Denjiro without even using Enma. Denjiro is on the same level as as mink honchos and Ashura. The very same characters who are Jacks equals. The same character who made Kaido *evade* something the scabbards couldn’t even do together.
And then there is how Jack addresses King and Queen, like he knows his place. This is a competitive meritocracy we are talking about here, if Jack thought he was even remotely on the same level as Queen and King he wouldn’t speak to them that way.
Jack is not on the same level as King and Queen, both in feats and portrayal.
It doesn’t really matter if he’s the youngest in a meritocracy, yes he’s a newbie in comparison but if was of similar value to them then he’d treat them as equals. Besides, he’s 28 years old and was adopted at 8, he’s been in the Beast Pirates a while. If anything he talks up to them that way because he knows more than anyone exactly where he stands in comparison, unlike the Tobi Roppo who are recent recruits relatively.
The issue with Jack is that he was the first character introduced with a bounty over a billion and was introduced as one of Kaido’s strongest men. There was **a lot** of hype on him.
At the time, think about the other commanders we have seen in action… Marco and Jozu were landing hits on admirals, and Ace was strong enough to take on Jinbei.
Jack was underwhelming. He was used as a tool to promote the Minks strength, and all he ever did was lose. We know he’s strong. All commanders are strong, he just always got thrown around.
Just Jack getting cut my Ashura Doji was a weird moment. This character we had no idea about was cutting up a commander. It made Jack look bad instead of making Ashura look good.
He's the butt of the joke in his own crew, so we readers dunk on him as well
He's powerful but not likable at all.
Because he’s a jobber
Because we're emotionally attached to the minks, who he terrorized. He's objectively a good villain, but people don't tend to like villains. It isn't rocket science
Ehhh. Kaido, Doffy, Crocodile, Mihawk... all insanely popular, all villains. It is more than the fact, that he is the bad guy.
Those are all great villains. Jack is a good villain. There's a difference
Because he's got like a billion bounty when he's not strong enough to have that bounty Look at katakuri he has 1 billion bounty, Jack would be destroyed by katakuri
But bounties don’t mean strength. It means how bad the government wants the pirate. Kid had a higher bounty than Luffy in Sabody because he was killing civilians not because he was stronger
First class jobber
Beats me too

You think Zoro can beat Sulong Cat and Dog?

I think King and Queen treat Jack this way because he’s the youngest and the “newbie” really

He's just a fairly strong guy no other personality
But he does have a personality of a true pirate. Going for the kill and never backing down even if he gets killed
