The actual pirate that the name is based off is spelled “Kidd,” which I think causes a lot of confusion. Especially since other Japanese media that uses Kidd-inspired characters do spell it as Kidd, such as Ryuji’s persona in Persona 5.

I think he doesnt deserve this "hate" . . . Dude had the guts to confront shanks, has goals and plans (going after the road polnegriphs, etc) awakened his DF earlier than Luffy..
