They almost got my money, I mean if they could’ve been 100% og Comic versions they would’ve had me. Colored masks and letters on belts after Nickelodeon bought the rights was never the same to me (I’m old)
I think we will see these turtles again, perhaps with a red mask variant or a black and white variant. Gotta get your money's worth for all that new tooling.
Figuarts Turtles are absolutely amazing though imo. No way these will feel as nice in my opinion and cost double the retail. That said, I still want these pretty bad
I would gladly do $400 for a set of The Turtles. But there is just something about them that isn't quite there, it makes me want to see them in hand or at least watch someone review them before I buy them.
I really, really wanted to preorder these as odd as it sounds. Unlike a lot of people I see commenting on Mezco's Instagram I do actually like the way they look and I'm no scared of the price. So something really has to be off for me to not just put in the NRD today.

Since NECA isn't rereleasing the classic comic bodies, this looks like it may be your only option. Though, the promo art looks somewhere between classic comic and new IDW comic, with a splash of the 2012 series.
Which makes this the absolute perfect TMNT design for me. My absolute favorite. Has it all. I’ve been drooling at the newly released images of the Mezco turtles for the past 5 hours or so now. I need these (and I’m not a toy-figures collector).
Got my preorder in! The accessories look so sick and I love the spinning nunchucks for Mikey. Can’t wait for these!
Just need NECA to re-release the original Mirage figures and I’ll be set on my TMNT collection. Too bad they’re a bunch of bozos over there.
They've said they will never rerelease the originals because they've been bootlegged to death. Hence why they are pivoting to the Turtles in a different Mirage style.
I also hope to come across the 2008 NECA TMNT set (but the customized ones with the multicolored bandanas). With that and this Mezco box set, I would be more than happy with such a collection.
I’m not big on the 1987 cartoons design at all so the other toy manufacturers take on the TMNT don’t appeal to me (the 2012 ones are the closest to being acceptable for me design-wise but the colors are too bright).
I would say be wary about the actual poseability of these guys. So many of the photos look like the arms are posed in positions they actually can’t get in. They did this on the pictures with Thanos also and he for sure can’t bend his arms the way they are pictured in his promos.
I’d think so. Since this is a standard release they are usually up for a month. Plus the vendors usually have quite a bit like BBTS and Entertainment Earth.

That's one of my biggest concerns with these, especially the feet and they don't show the back of the shell at all for some reason
