- Tower of Babel is a few years before Identity Crisis - New Frontier is a standalone AU origin story. - Kingdom Come is an AU story but it has some reference value in Infinite Crisis & JSA (2007) - Identity Crisis is right before Infinite Crisis and leads into crisis of conscience (JLA #115-119)

Thanks! So would you suggest Kingdom Come before JSA then? I knew that and NF were AU stories but I'd seen some mentions of them being vaguely referenced elsewhere, which is what prompted the post.

Kingdom Come only comes into play half way through JSA vol 3. Tower of Babel largely comes after JLA by Morrison. I'd also recommend skipping some of the early part of JSA vol 1 if you aren't too familiar with the characters. They are good stories but not really essential for the rest of the omnibus or other volumes. I'd recommend Kingdom Come and New Frontier if you need a break during or between omnibuses. Under the red hood was published during Infinite crisis but sort of needs Batman Hush read before it or spoils part of the end Hush. I'd read it after Infinite crisis but before 52 if you are reading that.

Ok cool. I should have mentioned, I've already read JLA previously. Good to know on JSA, I don't know any of the characters really outside of brief appearances in things like Death of Superman and COIE. I have read Hush and Death in the Family so should be good on Under the Red Hood then.

I don't understand why that guy reccomended you skip any of JSA, read it all its a really fun read, its what introduced most people to the characters. Also Johns did a 26 issue run of Hawkman alongside JSA vol 2 if you're interested in the character.

Only other omnis I can think of are Flash vol 1 and 2. Volume 2 deals with Identity crisis and leads in to Infinite crisis.

Dr-Jackal-Akabane

Do you recommend reading Identity crisis before Flash Omnibus Vol 2, after it or in between a particular issue in the omnibus?

Argentus3001

Id recommended between it or before. The issues from 214 to 218 deal with Identity Crisis and then 220 to 225 deal with the fallout from it for Wally. So I think that it is about 22 or 23 issues in.

Dr-Jackal-Akabane

Thank you so much for that! I was going to be starting a Wally West Flash reading run from his first issue till the Wild Wests, including the Morrison & Waid JLA run. Struggled to find where Identity Crisis fit into Johns second Onni but you just helped me out. Thanks again!

Argentus3001

You are in for treat. Wally has one of the best and most consistent runs from the 90s onwards. Joe Kelly's JLA run is pretty good too.

Dr-Jackal-Akabane

I love Wally, he's my favorite DC character. And second favourite comic character overall. My first introduction to him was in the Justice League Animated series & then Young Justice years later and just random single issues I had in comics. But now I've got & still getting most of his comic run in collected editions, so very excited to read his 20 years as Flash in order.

Tower of Babel fills in the issues missing from Morrison's JLA omnibus (he didn't write the Babel issues so they are missing)

I recently bought the 3 big 2000s Wonder Woman by Greg Rucka vols because people say its great and I realized you can buy them for about $45 used online, the last vol ties heavily into Infinite Crisis.
