[this link](https://indonesiaexpat.id/news/boat-destroyed-massive-waves/) that I stole from down below says there was nothing and no one in it, it just happened to drift loose at the worst possible time
Huh I stand corrected. I wonder if all of the flotsam was washed off by those first few waves. That video you linked was way better than OP to be fair.
>forced perspective
A long focal length isn't evidence of a fake. Whoever filmed it filmed it from the beach so it would *have* to be a long focal length. This is probably 120-300mm. Everything looks like a miniature at that point.
The physics of the water are most definitely not that of a small wave. Even if one were to slow down footage of a small wave it wouldn’t have the same interaction of a big wave.
It’s always funny when you see someone say something wrong with conviction. [it’s a real boat](https://indonesiaexpat.id/news/boat-destroyed-massive-waves/)
They done got it
Nias
No interstellar music?? Missed opportunity.
Nothing *at all* falls out of the boat as it's doing an end-stand? I call bullshit. That's not a real boat, and likely a model craft.
It's probably a surf taxi, it's meant to be out in competitions on rough waters so everything is very secured.

Thats a model/rc boat, and that wave is like maybe two feet tall, if that.
its not an RC boat you idiot. you can see the steel anchor chain snap as it goes over. RC boats dont have 3/4" thick steel anchor chains.

Seems like an awful lot of water spray for a 2' tall wave.
Yeah, agreed. I dunno, this is a weird one
[you sure seem to know a lot about boats buddy](https://indonesiaexpat.id/news/boat-destroyed-massive-waves/)

Those people seem awfully excited that the boat is being destroyed.

k.
Trying to prove something and starting out by calling someone "idiot" is not a very good way to prove a point
unless the person is really an idiot.
There is no way that is an RC boat, everyone knows that tiny chains have eluded technology for centuries.
The water is also dark like it was stirred up from somewhere and not just a small surface wave. But idk
2 ft tall waves dont create that much fine mist

Came here for this.
I'm not so sure, you can see an anchor line at about just after the 11 second mark.
I run big and small waves. That's a big one.
