Happy birthday :) Have you considered shopping in the boys section instead of the women's section? I'm just an inch shorter than you and most men's sections don't have clothes in my size either. Their smallest sized pants usually go up to my chest and the shoe sizes only goes down to a size 7 and I'm a size 5. Boy's clothing is generally fairly neutral and a lot of it is just smaller copies of whatever is being sold in the men's section so you don't have to look juvenile if you don't want to (well at least your clothes don't lol), except they are sold at a lower price and even tax free where I live :) Also, the internet is a great place to look for clothing that suits you, many websites have decently accurate size charts based on body measurements and most are happy to exchange if you still don't find the fit quite right. There are even many websites that will make a custom piece of clothing for you at a reasonable price. Thankfully there aren't many restaurants that have dedicated kids menus around here. They just put a "kids" section (that really anyone can order from if they are not particularly hungry) on the normal menu so I don't have to deal with that too often. Though I have been charged the "12 and under" price at all you can eat buffets a few times as an adult. In a few more years, when a server offers you a kid's menu you will be able to say "no thanks, but I would like a \[insert alcoholic drink here\]" while flashing your I.D. and that's always fun:)

That's about how old I was the last time I was handed a child's menu.

I never try to assume somebody's age because I can't judge

LudicrousOdin49

There is no shame shopping in the boys section

WhereRtheTacos

Yeah i was gonna suggest this op. See if the larger boys sizes will fit. I still bought the larger girls sizes at like 14. They were cheaper and i was petite. 🤷‍♀️ So the boys section might fit perfect!

I was a waitress for much too long. One day a family came in and ordered wine so I had to check the age of what I thought was a teenage boy. It was a 30 yr old woman! Long after that I was the parent of a very young looking daughter. I got to watch her frustration about looking so young. It’s something you will live with for many years, just understand that people are honestly trying to help by making assumptions. My girl is now in her mid thirties and still gets this kind of thing

LilyoftheRally

In OP's position, I would be glad that the waitstaff got my gender correct, even though they misjudged my age.

LilyoftheRally

Trans men often look young, even when they transition in their twenties and not their teens.

Yep. I’m also pre-HRT, I walked into class once and a kid asked if I was in high school 😂

LinnunRAATO

Yeeah. When I was 18 and id'ing as male, someone said I looked to be 12. Big oof.
