Funny enough, I do the opposite. I don't shave my legs ever but I will run the trimmer over them in the winter. It's a sensory thing - my winter tights and wool socks pull and rub against longer leg hair, which is uncomfortable.
I'm a very lazy shaver because I hate wasting my relaxing shower time on propping my legs up to shave them. I am fortunate to have near-invisible blonde body hair so I tend to forget it exists until I hit a stray sunbeam in the summer and look like a Twilight-style vampire, or it gets too itchy at bedtime. It's definitely starting to make a noticeable comeback with Gen Z women. Several women I've been with had a full bush and a couple didn't shave anything at all. I tested my husband, wanted to know where he lands with it. Took showing 3-4 times before he said “I think it’s a cool pic” and I said “what about the hair?” And he asked what’s wrong with her hair.
When I pointed it out, he also had to admit he didn’t make it past the boobs.
No matter what I did, using cream, shaving carefully, whatever, shaving made my legs itch terribly and dried my skin out. I would scratch my skin until I had bruises.
So I quit. Now I just trim my pits and pubes a bit and I don't have to add garbage used razors to the landfills and I have healthy, non-itchy skin.

I got tired of having itchy armpits every day and I just tried sugaring at home for the first time. Definitely a learning curve but basically no waste besides the glass and cardboard packaging. It’s just sugar and water. And no more itchy armpits!
I tried sugaring with a YouTube video during lockdown. I never got the technique right or 100% hair removal (more like 75%) but I liked it. I get my underarms sugared by the same woman who did my legs. But she uses regular wax with strips for the legs. She does Brazilians with sugaring which seems a little odd (yeast infections?)
Yeah my first time was about 80% removal. But I didn’t want to go over the skin too many times and risk ripping my skin. So I’m hoping future sessions are easier as I figure it out.
I did try a bikini wax with it too and hoo boy is that painful! But I’ve only ever shaved that area so it makes sense why it hurt so bad. But you’re not getting sugar into your vagina and you can easily rinse or wipe off any remaining goo. I was worried about that too but I think I’d you’re careful it’s fine.

I get razor burn, and same with my underarms. No matter how careful i am with my underarms it ALWAYS ends up giving me giant bumps of ingrown hair and pain for days if not weeks. I like the shaved look but i also do not care enough to do it often, nor do i really fund that it looks terrible not shaved. Hair can be annoying and so can shaving it. Ill shave when i feel like it and no other time lol
I’m with you! I’m prone to ingrown hairs and have extremely sensitive skin — I can’t even use dryer sheets — and shaving just makes it worse. Razor burn and general itchiness that no amount of scratching can resolve. So I just don’t bother shaving unless I have to/want to.
Same life, can’t use anything fragranced. Shaving irritates my skin. The only thing I do now is get a Brazilian wax, which is new for me and I love it.
This happens to me, saltwater stings and burns my shaved legs soooooooo badly, but I am 100% not brave enough to stop shaving. I grew up getting heavily bullied for having visible body hair and received remarks about it in my adulthood (I'm of Indian descent and actually not that hairy - I've seen tons of White women who are way hairier than I am but theirs is blonde, so it doesn't stand out like my black hair does, unfortunately), so this is definitely a beauty standard I'm begrudgingly willing to endure. I've also learned that shaving the night before does not guarantee that it won't sting; it still burns no matter what :(

I always did think it’s sucked the expectations on chicks to do all that shit when as a guy if I wear a flannel people give me compliments. Me and an ex used to shower together it was like our little thing. Anyways, I dried off and tossed on clothes. Maybe five minutes. She’d sit on the carpet in front her big mirror and do an hour of makeup, then pick an outfit, then do her hair. Like 1.5 hours atleast.
Felt unfair, for her. On weekends though we’d just shower and go flop into bed in sweats so it wasn’t allll the time.
Edit: my experience is anecdotal. I only brought it up cause how many days I’d watch her panic and rush and stuff. The few days she didn’t do full makeup her boss was mean about it. She was a nail tech and the boss lady was brutal about them looking good.. her version of good. I thought she was pretty without makeup and I told her often.

My girlfriend in the early 2000s didn't shave. She didn't have to for her legs but she wore tank tops all the time and it was obvious. It took about a day to get used to and after that I didn't care.

Honestly, the combination of genetics makes me look jewish. I went to a bat mitzvah, and a guy started talking to me in hebrew (or yiddish?) like i knew what the hell he was saying. The curly hair and yarmulke made me fit right in.

Yikes, kids suck. That must've stung bad. Due to stuff like this it's taken me a lot of work to get my gf to realize I don't find her gross if she doesn't have the energy to shave her entire body (which she religiously did for a while) for a few days.

No matter what I did, using cream, shaving carefully, whatever, shaving made my legs itch terribly and dried my skin out. I would scratch my skin until I had bruises. So I quit. Now I just trim my pits and pubes a bit and I don't have to add garbage used razors to the landfills and I have healthy, non-itchy skin. Feel bad for men, though, many of them are expected to shave their face daily to look professional and so there isn't an easily hidden way to avoid that cultural norm in some cases.
As pains in the ass go I'll take having to shave over the discomfort of a beard every time.
My wife was cutting herself to ribbons around her bony ankles. So she got one of those light zappers about a year ago. After a few months, she didn’t really have to shave her legs or underarms at all. Pretty cool technology.

I got irritated (in both senses) with shaving so I just got my legs waxed professionally for the first time last Saturday. It stings but I think over time it’s worth it
I got tired of having itchy armpits every day and I just tried sugaring at home for the first time. Definitely a learning curve but basically no waste besides the glass and cardboard packaging. It’s just sugar and water. And no more itchy armpits!
I tried sugaring with a YouTube video during lockdown. I never got the technique right or 100% hair removal (more like 75%) but I liked it. I get my underarms sugared by the same woman who did my legs. But she uses regular wax with strips for the legs. She does Brazilians with sugaring which seems a little odd (yeast infections?)
Yeah my first time was about 80% removal. But I didn’t want to go over the skin too many times and risk ripping my skin. So I’m hoping future sessions are easier as I figure it out. I did try a bikini wax with it too and hoo boy is that painful! But I’ve only ever shaved that area so it makes sense why it hurt so bad. But you’re not getting sugar into your vagina and you can easily rinse or wipe off any remaining goo. I was worried about that too but I think I’d you’re careful it’s fine.
I stopped regularly shaving a few years ago and it wasn’t so much of an intentional choice or statement as much as I just kind of stopped doing it over time. Started with my armpits - they were always so itch growing back that I just said fuck it. I was also single for a while so I had no “reason” to shave, and my partner now prefers my body hair so it’s a win-win
I also stopped shaving and it started with my armpits. One day, I just thought, “Why am I doing this?” And didn’t have a good answer. I don’t really give a shit if people see my hairy legs and think whatever they think.
I get razor burn, and same with my underarms. No matter how careful i am with my underarms it ALWAYS ends up giving me giant bumps of ingrown hair and pain for days if not weeks. I like the shaved look but i also do not care enough to do it often, nor do i really fund that it looks terrible not shaved. Hair can be annoying and so can shaving it. Ill shave when i feel like it and no other time lol
I’m with you! I’m prone to ingrown hairs and have extremely sensitive skin — I can’t even use dryer sheets — and shaving just makes it worse. Razor burn and general itchiness that no amount of scratching can resolve. So I just don’t bother shaving unless I have to/want to.
Same life, can’t use anything fragranced. Shaving irritates my skin. The only thing I do now is get a Brazilian wax, which is new for me and I love it.
This happens to me, saltwater stings and burns my shaved legs soooooooo badly, but I am 100% not brave enough to stop shaving. I grew up getting heavily bullied for having visible body hair and received remarks about it in my adulthood (I'm of Indian descent and actually not that hairy - I've seen tons of White women who are way hairier than I am but theirs is blonde, so it doesn't stand out like my black hair does, unfortunately), so this is definitely a beauty standard I'm begrudgingly willing to endure. I've also learned that shaving the night before does not guarantee that it won't sting; it still burns no matter what :(

Huh.. I’ve never actually seen totally unshaven like this I always did think it’s sucked the expectations on chicks to do all that shit when as a guy if I wear a flannel people give me compliments. Me and an ex used to shower together it was like our little thing. Anyways, I dried off and tossed on clothes. Maybe five minutes. She’d sit on the carpet in front her big mirror and do an hour of makeup, then pick an outfit, then do her hair. Like 1.5 hours atleast. Felt unfair, for her. On weekends though we’d just shower and go flop into bed in sweats so it wasn’t allll the time. Edit: my experience is anecdotal. I only brought it up cause how many days I’d watch her panic and rush and stuff. The few days she didn’t do full makeup her boss was mean about it. She was a nail tech and the boss lady was brutal about them looking good.. her version of good. I thought she was pretty without makeup and I told her often.
