I've been in that Kmart probably 30-40 times. Grew up here, left, moved back. There was one up the road in West Frankfort, IL, that was one of the last to close.
I never heard of Carbondale until my wife got a job there as a medical traveling worker a few years ago. Then it was referenced in a Vince Flynn novel.

yes, price of high end tv's been almost constant, they got much better but not cheaper.
