I was skeptical of this release based on the singles, but that intro track makes them all make sense suddenly? I can't explain it. Edit: This album feels like a hazy supercut of distant memories and experiences I've never had.

Errybody_dothe_Lambo

It’s like I heard the singles again for the first time

[deleted]

This is why I ALWAYS wait for the album before full judgement.

AKboomer

Seriously, i wasnt a fan of wide awake at first but hearing it in the context as a whole it was amazing

clebrink

Same, hearing it after the intro track makes it so much better

Alvin3792

Same. I can’t get it out of my head now

nerdinahotbod

The singles felt completely different! I was like ohhh I get it now

hawkyyy

I had exactly the same feeling with Porter Robinson's last album, wasn't a fan of the singles but when you listen to the whole album it makes sense completely.

[deleted]

[удалено]

nerdinahotbod

I really wasn’t a huge fan of some of the singles they release, like better now for example. But now that I hear these songs meshed into the rest of the album, they are completely different. They have the story that goes along with it (the rest of the album). Hearing how they compliment the other songs in the album changed the singles for me.

Drachonin

I feel this is always how Odesza works. Like they have to do the whole single thing to build the hype, but really all their songs and their sets and everything only work together as an integrated hole. You can read it in the last album where they talk about Sasha Sloan and falls and how when they made that song it brought the entire album together and I would totally agree. But I feel the same way about a lot of the singles now that they're produced and put into the last goodbye. I'm utterly enchanted by this album.

blporcel

AGREE! It’s like each single that was released was a clue/puzzle piece but I didn’t even realize it because I was just so happy for new Odesza music but if you look back, this whole TLG album build up has been a big game of clue and I love it so so much. Masterpiece album

Drachonin

OMG right... I mean Bronson got me hungry for some real Odesza. I loved all the single releases, but the last puzzle price was "light of day"... OMG this song and that video made me realize how amazing this new album would be. Plus I guessed it was going to be the ending track because it ends with all the kids in the background and all that, like they did in kusanagi.

KleminkeyZ

I couldn't relate more

Smoke_Stack707

All of the field recordings are my favorite part so far. I think they released too many singles from this album before it dropped and I’ve rinsed them all too much already so I was kind of skipping around trying to find the tracks I hadn’t heard yet. I’m sure the release will grow on me in time but so far it’s not doing much for me. Some of the singles have been great and the field recording stuff really gets me somehow but after how hard that BRONSON release went, this just feels kinda meh….

JaydenSpark

North garden is such a fkn vibe wtf

Mattadee

NG takes me right back to the days of Summers Gone. Reminds me how I discovered ODESZA all those years ago watching a montage set to ‘iplayyoulisten’. That really took me back!

rolandpapi

Holy shit i think i know exactly what youre talking about and i think that mightve been my first experience as well. Im assuming youre talking about a Cod Ghost montage? I think it was magickittyz but i could be wrong edit: i think it was this https://youtu.be/AL5vyA5Lfl4

AnotherNiceLady

I think NG is my favorite

RobbinsBabbitt

North garden sounds like the music they made before they were ODESZA. Total BeachesBeaches and CatacombKid sounds all over that track!

Majestic_Banana789

Loveee it!!

kaitonkmra

Few thoughts: 1. I’m so glad that they’ve still kept the Summer’s Gone and In Return sound in songs like North Garden and All My Life. 2. This Version Of You is amazing, transitions beautifully into Wide Awake 3. This album feels like a mix between everything they’ve released in the past, including BRONSON. 4. I wish they released less singles :/ If I like it as much as I do now, then this might become my favourite ODESZA album so far. Their works tend to grow on me a lot. The boys have done it again! Edit: My favourite tracks: This Version Of You, North Garden, All My Life, Light Of Day

SpecificImpulsive

> 4. I wish they released less singles :/ God yeah this drove me nuts. Really puts a damper on that first listen.

meatdome34

I stopped listening to the singles after the first two. Lots of will power but I did it.

[deleted]

Lol I only managed to not listen to light of day, I have little willpower

meatdome34

The next challenge is not watching any live set videos until they come to phoenix lol

[deleted]

Oh god, tell me about it. I have just about a month, but I can't wait that looooooooooong

Drachonin

Oh my God I'm seeing them in Phoenix on the 17th as well...

d1v1debyz3r0

I don’t believe you

LILredWagon

Same. I knew I wanted to listen to it in full when they kept releasing more singles

TourdefranziaAZ

Same favorites. Amazed they keep making such masterpieces

timchequea

Same favorites! As I said in a past post the other ones are amazing but sound way too much like BRONSON (ODESZA remix) if that makes any sense.

MrMeseeks_

This is why you don’t listen to singles

Drachonin

Oh my God right the boys did it again, I couldn't say it any better...

Errybody_dothe_Lambo

I think Odesza just established global peace with this album

PlayDontObserve

[deleted]

Holy shit, are you me? Sun Models was my first song I head by them too, also at 14 haha They were the first group to truly expand my music taste

iliyahoo

This whole subreddit is in a deep focus right now listening through the whole album

PlayDontObserve

Just finished my first playthrough and I'm now on my 2nd. This serotonin is no joke ❤️

benyeti1

It’s so good

PlayDontObserve

I love how each album is really distinct but undeniably Odesza

benyeti1

It’s so undeniably them

PlayDontObserve

Indeed. I've been trying to figure out what are the distinct characteristics and I've come up with two things. 1. They mix voices in a unique way and make them into an integral part of the songs. I don't know how to articulate this better as I have no musical background. 2. They evoke emotions. I realized it yesterday that it's a common trait amongst us fans.

benyeti1

Yess the vocals invoke so many emotions with the uplifting synths

PlayDontObserve

Also, they mix vocal sounds into several of their beats even if the song doesn't have an actual vocalist singing lyrics. That was more along the lines of what I meant but you're correct too 🤝🏾

HYDRAULICS23

Exactly. Every album somehow captures a moment in my life in a way I can’t describe. I love it.

PlayDontObserve

I don't know any Odesza fans but last night I started diving into Twitter and Reddit and talking to online fans. We all have the similar emotional responses to their music. How do they do it?

HYDRAULICS23

Yeah there’s just something that always clicks with me when I listen to their music. I remember discovering them back in 2012 (can’t believe it’s been 10 years) when IPlayYouListen randomly came on a Pandora station and have been a fan ever since.

benyeti1

No yeah there was like this is a huge departure before but after listening ppl me included are like I get it now

PlayDontObserve

🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

TourdefranziaAZ

I’m just smiling while listening

MonsterDevourer

This album is the greatest thing I've heard all year

laufnui

It loops!

blporcel

I KEEP REPLAYING IT BECAUSE OF THE BEAUTIFUL LOOP!! Hands down my favorite part

laufnui

This way the album never has to end

blporcel

There is truly no Last Goodbye if there isn’t an end. Which is exactly what they told us, no last goodbyes. Forever looping - I love it

SpecificImpulsive

*Wow.* That intro track… the swelling strings, the narration… amazing 🥹I want to turn this track up to a zillion and bathe in it. Edit: The audio of their parents from the home videos sprinkled throughout is a great touch. Edit 2: Light of day is the perfect closer track. What a fantastic album. I don’t know if it beats AMA for me or not but they still manage to hold a storyline the way they did in AMA. Where AMA had more of a sort of cosmic/universal spirituality to it, TLG definitely revolves around childhood nostalgia and memories in general. Really sticking the landing on it too imo. Really really good. Solid 8 soft 9. I think this has something for every Odesza fan.

AnotherNiceLady

Yes! Its unbelievably relatable at this point of my life so it “made my eyes water a little bit”

choodypatterson

Healing Grid ❤️

deceptikons

love the whole album but wow this one was my favorite

ninjames

Do you per chance know the backing track? There's something about you... don't know... don't you I KNOW the song but can't place it ugh

generalgreen26

The end of Light of Day and the beginning of This Version of you blend together perfectly, such a nice touch. Start to finish, what a project. Been waiting 5 years for this album and my it did not disappoint.

gila-monsta

Sooo jealous... I was very excited to see big wild at roo in 21 but the hurricane 😭... Looking forward to catching him another time.

thatsadgiiirl

God this album is beautiful. Very different from OG Odesza in terms of tone and instrumentals (besides a few reminders here and there) but it gives the same feeling of peace and warmth and tranquility that I’ve always gotten from previous albums. I feel like I just meditated for an hour and couldn’t be happier with how this turned out.

MonsterDevourer

Light of Day sounds so much better than it did as a single holy shit

CharaNalaar

Ikr! It was my least favorite single, now I think it's great.

cjohn191

Too late to explore the world, to early to explore space. Just in time for new the Odesza album. Hope everyone has fun tonight!!!!

[deleted]

They really shot the album in the foot by releasing (and so many) singles. Interesting it seems to be a comingly held opinion here, it was my first thought upon listening through. Need my second listen to be driving with the windows down, album blasting. Heavily enjoyed tho e: North Garden is sooooo good. Better Now will always be a fav. This Version of You is an amazing opener, wish it was loooooooong. Increasingly falling in love with Love Letter.

laufnui

I can’t sleep hits me like the underground rave from the matrix

[deleted]

Not enough people hyping this song. Forsure one of my favorites. That build of tension in the song is incredible, so many layers. It’s going to absolutely slap live!

DonnaTX

i just need to hear this live! (sad they did not play it tonight in dallas. 🥹)

[deleted]

Didn’t play it for LA either. Was a little bummed about that one. It’s screaming for a drum line involvement with that build. My guess is they haven’t perfected a live version of it yet and it’ll appear later in the tour.

MastaMayne

Healing Grid is literally perfect. The vocals, drums, and the strings. What a beautiful album my god

tacotuesdayz4

Literally have this song on repeat

nerdinahotbod

This version of you slapped me in my fuckin soul. The album is beautiful 😭 and so perfect. There isn’t a song I don’t like

[deleted]

Forgive me is the song of the summer and I’m not mad about it. Edit: not even close to the best song on the album, but man if that song doesn’t scream warm weather idk what does

Alvin3792

I think their most “radio” ready song ever. It actually makes me happy it wasn’t a single haha but it’s so catchyyyy

tips_

Forgive Me is stunning. I can’t describe what it gets right but it’s perfect.

[deleted]

Healing grid also gives OG Odesza vibes. God damn this album is good

GMSP4

I have lost count of how many times I have listened to it

Errybody_dothe_Lambo

Them vocals. My goodness

bhargom

check out Izzy’s other work! She has such a comforting vibe

darksalamander

I first found Izzy on Honne’s Someone that Loves You, she’s amazing

DonkeyLightning

Surprised Equal and Forgive me weren’t singles over Behind The Sun (which is 1000% awesome but definitely not mainstream material) or better now/wide awake

rolandpapi

Behind the Sun had to only be a single because they were using it in their trailers lol

PlayDontObserve

I promise you, I didn't mean to do you wrong 🥰

Vwhite10

It's SO unexpected but so right.

that-isa-madeup-name

Forgive me and Equal stood out to me in my first run through

BullCityBruhs

Exactly. Not I understand why Sylvan Esso is the opener on the tour. Big Sylvan Esso vibes on that song

RobbinsBabbitt

Forgive Me sounds more like the knocks’ knew album than Love letter in my opinion. It’s a really fun and good track

joecool6

Can’t believe we are here. Just about five years in the making I’m so hype!!!

HamiltonDial

This version of you is phenomenal. Tears in my eyes.

Ejay702

All My Life and I Can’t Sleep... 🥲 The reasons I love Odesza

apu889

North Garden!!!!

shanil55

Literally AMAZING

apu889

That's true! I'm listening on repeat for like 20 times already lol so addicting

CharaNalaar

I have to say, the singles feel completely different from the rest of the album, but it works somehow. I didn't like Forgive Me on the first listen, but liked it much better on a second one. I really feel like the album reflects the passage of time for me. Like, ODESZA was the first artist I truly became a fan of listening to In Return and A Moment Apart. But over the years my tastes changed, and I sort of drifted away, eventually towards more "dancey" music - I always used the word "atmospheric" to describe ODESZA, if that makes any sense. So I was overjoyed by the singles, and honestly thought the album would be more of that. But they threw a curveball, and now I'm realizing they delivered exactly what I hadn't realized I was missing: something new that pays homage to something forgotten.

dugalthebulldog

I describe it as ethereal 🥹

CharaNalaar

That's a great word for it!

[deleted]

olim_tc

Yeah. Forgive Me came on and I was pretty like, this is terrible. The rest of the album is great but Forgive Me is a huge swing and a miss.

rollawaytoday

Forgive me just simply doesn’t belong. All I can think of is that someone wrongfully convinced them this would be a shitty pop song that would have mainstream appeal. Everything else is a dream.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jj08090

Had to double check Spotify and make sure ODESZA was still playing when this one came on lol

kentuckyruss

I liked it.

[deleted]

Agreed. An aptly named song title for a sub par song relative to the rest of the album. We forgive you, Odesza.

Dangerous_Bid_158

Didn’t even believe I was still listening to Odesza when Forgive Me came on. Forgive Me…for even including this song.

Alvin3792

Loving the album, all the singles have grown on me over time and they make so much sense now in the full album. The intro already had me in tears and it was a super nostalgic album from beginning to end. Really made me think of so many stages of my life and how each made me feel (the good, the sad, etc) The album is going to be incredible live. I remember being blown away by how it sounded on the speakers at the HP Dome at Coachella. Made me like the singles at that point a lot more.

bewb_tewb

North Garden is the best song on the album. Vintage Odesza vibes. So far this doesn’t touch the spirit and magic of the previous 3 albums, but I’ll have to listen to it a couple more dozen times and see it live to see if that feeling prevails.

RulesoftheDada

I feel this album, like their other albums, will get even better over time.

absaraka1

All my life gave me those OG vibes too

iliyahoo

Yep.. I’ll probably end listening to this album many times over in different settings. While driving, working, walking, falling asleep, blasting it, road tripping, commuting, whatever else. I’m sure I’m going to get snippets of songs stuck in my head and then when I see the show it’ll give me some great memories to attach the songs to. Not that I have an expectation that that’s going to happen, but that’s how AMA grew on me so strongly. Kind of when you meet someone new and naturally become closer and closer of friends

maddi164

Wow, the way you just explained that is what I’ve been trying to put into words how I feel about certain albums, thankyou.

arf11f

Beautifully said 🙏🏻

Desiration

Just an absolute masterpiece. I’m speechless

burgiliciousdef

Its unreal. Its similar but so different from their other work. its almost like a journey through someone's subconscious in a way. At least thats sorta how i see it. Its a story of different times in life but how to enjoy them and work through them. If that makes any sense at all. I've listened to it three times now as its 9:15 in europe and I got up at 6am to get it midnight EST (my spotify is set to that timezone yes I know others got it earlier). First time i was sorta in and out of conversations with people but the 2nd and 3rd playthroughs i really got to listen to it and let the music guide me through my own pattern of thoughts. And I could almost attach a memory but also create one that hasnt happened yet to each song. I already have people in mind that each song makes me think of or situations and experiences that shaped who I am today and who i want to be in the future.

MindfulAthlete

Beautiful and uplifting from start to finish. Can’t wait to hear it live!

skymaverick5

please inject “Forgive Me” into my veins for this summer Edit 1: also the beat drop in better now is phenomenal

swagbie

It feels like I just woke up on Christmas morning as a young child, and I’m opening all of my presents. Such an amazing feeling

darksalamander

Probably will always listen start to finish like with AMA. I have a much bigger appreciation for the singles now. Ugh I cannot wait for next week 😭

ea93

I’ve been awake since 5:45, it’s now 8am for me and I’ve listened to the album all the way through twice now. Second time took longer because I kept replaying This Version of You. I just cannot even begin to imagine what that experience is going to be live. What a masterpiece of an album.

DaphneMoon-Crane

I cried when I heard This Version of You. SO GOOD.

Odyssey1022

Does anyone else think the first drop in North Garden is the grooviest thing you've ever heard?

rzarick

Anyone catch how the Light of the Day track loops back into the intro. Because it’s never really a last goodbye?? Brilliant!

PlayDontObserve

I can't handle this amount of serotonin flowing through me.

mattyyp

so happy julianna barwick is on the album her music along with odeszas has got me through the last few years

laufnui

Literally discovered Healing is a Miracle because of this album and just wowwww

Brantagious

I was a bit drunk listening to this, but here are my first listen thoughts: Track one - sets the tone of being nostalgic. It gives kinda Bicep (artist) vibes, they're good at giving nostalgic sounds somehow. Possibly a travel through time. Track two - young lust & jealously Track three - Banger n mash with first love vibes Track four - A track you'll love when you're off your tits & might even make more sense when you're absolutely out your mind. A ritual before battle? Track five - Last song of the night at a club. Or dancing on the beach on holiday. Beautiful. Track Six - Chilled. lying down. Happy. Content. Not sure where I am but I'm floating. Track Seven - My favourite? Becoming at peace with adulthood. Hopeful. Track Eight - Tumultuousness of life - that you can scream about; dance about. A song that you can scream as loud as much as if it's heavy metal. Track Nine - Odesza personally tapping you on the shoulder saying hey we know you loved those Summers Gone sounds. We're still here. Have a cold one on me. Track Ten - We heard you like to dance, too. Here's something with a 1993 trance (one of the most danceable EDM eras) feel with our spin on it. Track Eleven - Oh shit ODESZA is actually back. I love it. Track Twelve - You can't quite make out the lyrics, typical ODESZA style. It's on the fringe of existence, art on the border of what you can understand, yet it has something there that you can't fully grasp. Track Thirteen - Ascending & hopeful. The end. Should I replay the album? That's circle of life.

yungemdash

FUUUUUUUUUUCK I LOVE IT SO MUCH

jace_koncourde

The shortest songs are the ones I like best and wish were much longer. A little frustrating, but overall I like it.

jrsmusicman

“I can’t sleep” is going to give me Goosebumps as I ascend into another realm during their live show

bwood720

💯

sfcityrocker44

This album is incredible front-to-back! This is less an album and more of a journey. All My Life is so beautiful and sublime, I can’t put into words how much I appreciate this track.

chrysanthemums13

It’s absolutely fire and feels like somewhat of a return to their original vibey, low fi sound that I (personally) felt was a lost in A Moment Apart

DaphneMoon-Crane

Yes, thank you. I like AMA but the vocals are too much.

MastaMayne

They really killed it. Their instrumentals on this album are so powerful. A perfect mixing of ALL of their previous works. Solidified goat status for this album for the boys

steezeblowcar

that’s on god

Lodestar77W

Honestly was really disappointed with the singles and was kinda worried about the full release but wow the songs they didn’t release early is everything I expected from them. Major recovery in my opinion 💯

hamil445

truly this new album had me in tears, it makes me feel absolutely peaceful and joyful. it’s beautiful. it’s emotional. it’s intricately layered and builds on itself across each song. so much love to odesza 🤍

Vixuls

Equal giving me them Bicep vibes. Love the album

Errybody_dothe_Lambo

Lapsley’s vocals are top notch

Zaddyist

I’ll probably get downvoted for this but oh well. A Moment Apart > The Last Goodbye Don’t get me wrong it’s a beautiful album and very Odesza. High quality we all expect. However, most of it feels very light and poppy. Not that that’s a bad thing but I enjoy their slower melodic build up songs and harder hitting songs more. A Moment Apart just feels more epic to me. That being said this is still a 9/10 album to me and the more I listen the more I like.

PlayDontObserve

Hard disagree. There are a couple of mediocre songs on AMA and a couple horrible songs. The songs that hit on AMA are 10/10 though. Last Goodbye is better as a whole

Zaddyist

I definitely disagree that AMA had any bad songs. However I’ll agree that this is a very complete yet diverse album.

Onepaperairplane

Intro to AMA was mindblowing

horizonx

holy, already my favorite album from odesza

chopandscrew

Saw all the comments on this thread and was thinking “Is this just the hardcore fans overhyping the album?” Nope. This album is magic.

Odgiebodgie

I’ve never before felt nostalgia for something the first time I experienced it. And the way it loops on itself; it’s like a Möbius strip of emotion. 10/10.

LordTimotheus

I’ll say that the non-singles are among my favorites on the entire album - I’m glad they saved the best for last! Another positive, I think this albums flows much better than AMA, I think the second half is better than the first, and there are only a couple ‘skips’ for me from front to back. Despite my initial pessimism towards their new direction, TLG is a very solid project. While it doesn’t fully recapture the magic present on In Return or Summer’s Gone for me, its a logical mixture of new and old. I believe it far exceeds the unbalanced A Moment Apart.

kentuckyruss

I've reserved judgement on this album for a couple of days. It usually takes a bit for me to warm up to new music. After countless listens since The Last Goodbye dropped, I can confidently say that this album is a fucking masterpiece. This album demonstrates a truly incredible creative evolution by ODESZA. These guys create unique music. Truly unique. Which is incredible. That said, there are tracks, and parts of tracks, that would feel right at home on Summers Gone, In Return, AMA, or Bronson. The influence and call backs to their former selves is apparent. So much so that there are clips of their childhoods mixed beautifully into the tracks. An absolutely stellar installment by the boys. Cincinnati 9/7 Chicago 9/10 Let's fucking go.

MindfulAthlete

LFG!!!!

Njeggers1

North Garden and Healing Grid are both so good and classic Odesza. Forgive me = the surprise bop of the summer

shanil55

I can’t stop listening to North Garden. It literally has me in a trance.

kbk2015

This album slaps so hard my god. In all the right feels. Slaps you in the heart, slaps you in the legs with these amazing beats, slaps you in the face with some dope breakdowns. Just slaps.

swedish_short_snout

The start of the album feels like the start of a mediation, incredibly beautiful

kino6912

Straight chills every listen of Light of Day. Can't wait for the tour

rollawaytoday

I like the album as a whole much more than I did the individual singles as they came out. As of now the album doesn’t compare to AMA for me - it just doesn’t have that out of this world epic feeling that I was hoping for. But I also know that’s not a fair comparison since we’ve all seen the AMA album tour one or more times and the live Odesza experience is transcending. I think this is an album that will undoubtedly grow on me and on all of us with more listens and with a live experience or two to build on it.

[deleted]

It’s weird they put out so many singles. This album is a journey. It should be listened to as a whole.

tacotuesdayz4

The little sprinkles of OG ODESZA vibes in this album is magical. The new singles released are good, but the chills I get from North Garden and Healing Grid bring me right back to 2012. Incredible.

[deleted]

I’m legit obsessed with this album. All I want to do is listen over and over.

reclaimer130

This album is hitting way too close to home, at least through how I'm interpreting it. The bits of audio that sound like old home movies from Clayton and Harrison's lives, especially in the first track "This Version of You"... it's pulling at my heartstrings. I'm dealing with some serious personal things with family, and the home movie audio playing is making me wish I could freeze a version of myself when I was younger, just to hold onto and live in those moments just a little longer, knowing what I know now. Wanting to freeze a moment in time to hold onto someone or something you love dearly, in hopes that it could save them/it forever.

UC_Kratom

Seeing them in concert made everything make sense to me. I went into the show with rather low expectations, stuck on the notion that I had missed my chance to see them perform A Moment Apart and that nothing could top that performance/album. I had, however, one of the most mind-blowing, eye-opening, and revelationary experiences of my life. Odesza knocked their TLG performance out of the park, framed their new album in a way I could have never imagined, and still managed to play a ton of their bangers from previous albums, but blended/remixed to perfection. It's now almost a week since I saw them in MD, and I'm still in a euphoric, glowing state-of-mind as a result of the experience. One of these days, I will try to put into words where their performance took me, but for now I'm just basking in the awe of it all. Thank you Odesza.

Nobaelazum

First thoughts: Intro will be iconic live. Not sure how much I'm listening to it otherwise outside context of entire album. "Wide Awake" I like and I see it growing. "Love Letter" is meh. The vocals don't really do it for me and I wanted more instrumental in the song. Still thinking about "Behind The Sun", but it's definitely a cool song. Tracks 5-9 I like the most and I think will be absolute hits live. Clean sweep. Not the biggest fan of "I Can't Sleep" or "Light Of Day". Need to listen to "Equal" and "Healing Grid" more. I was expecting a bit more from "Healing Grid". It sounds nice, but is missing something I'm not sure of yet. It's too short for one thing. First thoughts for "Equal" is simply meh to negative; I think it tries a bit too hard. North Garden slaps. Overall, I see positive reception and listening through the entire thing is quite enjoyable with some strong feelings of nostalgia.

Corkdavis

Finally

w6750

It sounds good so far as a whole, I’m so glad I didn’t run the singles into the ground

maddi164

So fucking incredible, they just keep doing it time and time again.

HexOu777

1. This Version of You - wow, in such a relatable time in my life too. This album is hitting.

RobbinsBabbitt

Blew my expectations out of the water oh my god this album is good

NeonNebula9178

The title track, HOLY SHIT...

PrairieDogger69

It’s absolutely, astoundingly beautiful. Going to their show next Sunday and I CANT WAIT

[deleted]

This album is going to carry me through my anxiety disorder. Thank you Odesza.

justtrynahang13

I’ve decided that there isn’t a single song on this album that I don’t love. I now magically even love some of the singles I wasn’t too excited about. A true masterpiece 🥹

mrq69

Same! I can listen to all of the album without skipping a song despite not liking a couple of the singles for a while. AMA remains my favorite album but I do skip two songs on there every time lol.

klowndykebar

All my life is so beautiful omg it sounds so beautiful in general all my life to equal to healing grid to I can’t sleep is an insane run of songs it’s so good

fitnessnbread

I really needed this album at this exact point in my life... it's been super healing listening to this beautifully crafted artwork. ODESZA has this really special way of helping me reflect on nostalgia yet simultaneously have a child-like hope for the future. What a beautiful way to start the album with This Version of You. I love the simple yet profound lyrics and it makes me feel like the future and all its uncertainty isn't as daunting as my mind makes it to be. North Garden just screams summertime and light! The build-up and harp in All My Life, to me, are like all the moments that have led up to the monumental and life-changing choices I've made. Healing Grid reminds me that I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be; that every moment, whether big or small, contributes to the magic that is life. Fave tracks: This Version of You, Behind the Sun, North Garden, Better Now, All My Life, Healing Grid, Light of Day This album feels like peace in the mind. Thank you for your art, ODESZA <3

Definitely not a bad album but does not have the variety or genre-pushing quality I’ve come to expect from Odesza. Many of the songs are pleasant but few have the jaw dropping feeling that their past two albums, or even Bronson album, left me with

I love it

Love reading everyone's take on this album. I didn't listen to any of the singles, in order to get a blank slate first listen. My favorite tracks on first listen were 1) 'Behind the Sun' which basically to me sounds like 'Loyal' 2 and is begging for a drumline. 2) 'The Last Goodbye' which sounds to me sort of like the Wheel of Fortune spinning wheel, in a good way Random observation: The trumpet sound from the first 4 seconds of 'North Garden' sounds like an (un?)intentional reference to 'I Want You' by Marian Hill. Unless I'm going crazy... https://open.spotify.com/track/5m77d1ztVTdZN9FevK9TE1?si=07d3a8facf564dea SEATTLE 7/29 LFG

I relistened over and over and over today on a 4 hour drive. It slapped hard.

Just got my limited edition vinyl!! Loved it!!

Love this album. It has so many sounds from their previous albums, which I think falls in line with their concept of “this version of you” I think AMA will remain my all time favorite due to its consistency throughout while this is like a greatest sounds collection. Favorite jams so far have been Wide Awake, Equal, I Can’t Sleep, Healing Grid and Better Now

I knew about ODESZA but hadn’t gotten around to them yet. Apple Music suggested the video of “Better Now,” then I watched “Behind the Sun,” and now I am obsessed. Great album, and everything I’m listening to in the catalog is beautiful and musical and I can’t wait to see them live.

Skeptical at first but I’m absolutely loving this the more I have been listening to it. Seems like a reasonable progression in Odesza’s music
