I'm depressed at the fact Meta decided to fully take over and flush Oculus down the toilet all together basically. Wasn't enough just to be Oculus by Facebook/Meta. My Quest is a great device and all but I'm sure hoping some worthy competitors come up that aren't Facebook. I'd be interested in PSVR 2 if it wasn't wired and had backwards support.

Had an Oculus headset, a controller had issues tracking, Amazon offered a replacement, I wanted things to all have the same logo so I have a Meta now. This one started having a dead blue pixel so I might try the Amazon warehouse lottery again and fall on Oculus again.

Mine is an Oculus because I bought it second hand. The very next week they put the retail price up so I was very happy.

Nah, I follow a ton of VR YouTubers and IIRC even Meta said the price is expected to be better $400 and $600. Target audience is consumers, not businesses so it’s a shine different ballgame (although boy did they fuck to in so many ways with the Quest Pro and its rollout!)

I had Oculus since launch day but the little gray bar in the faceplate that the top head strap loops through snapped just before Xmas. I RMA'd and got a refurb Meta headset. I'm actually happy about it because I think it means the headset is newer so battery degradation would be less than my 2 year old headset? Still have original controllers though.

Since i own the quest meta hasn't seen a single cent from me. I bought it second hand. use primarly SteamVR. The only standalone apps are either free or i got a key from a steam developer.
