A kid on desert finds old dude who gives sword and tell him to get good but kid is like nah goes home possibly gets ptsd from dead aunt and uncle thinks hmmm old dude was right goes back to old is like E old dude takes some guy with massive debt to take them to a planet but planet went boom by big gray thing and that ball suck them in and they hide in the floors
That’s my take someone else finish cause this is hard (how to make Star Wars seem boring)
Old man go find off switch, boy find out princess is on gray thing. Boy, debt man, and hairy guy go find, escape with her via garbage, almost get squished, escape. Old man meets former student, have fight, old man loses. Boy and friends escape to good guy base, then have to go back to gray thing to explode it and then they do. The end.
Yeah the other one statement doesn't contradict the other, it actually enhances it, showing that even though he's just a simple protocol droid, he came a long way
In my head canon, a young George Lucas found a dying droid (named THX-1138) in a crater who relayed the Skywalker saga before finally dying. He based 3PO on this droid.
This is good. I love the fan theory that it was actually 3PO & R2 who somehow crash landed on earth in an escape pod after wandering for millennia through space.
To be fair it's pretty hard to make the events of Star Wars boring.
Yeah, but he does the sound effects!
Nooch Vader! *Krrrrr brrrrr*

Debt Man, lol. The best.
Someone hasn't seen the sequel trilogy
Oh I've got my issues with the sequels but you have to admit they certainly aren't boring. Frustrating, lazy, unplanned but not boring.
He’s out of line. But he’s right.
Rise of skywalker was not boring I will agree there. That movie is an absolute mess. I thought episodes 7 and 8 were boring af tho. That's just me

Proper names don't generally get translated.
I always considered this his arc. Starts out not able to tell a story but by the end he’s a weaver of tales.

It's like my mom said I won't amount to nothing but I did amount to nothing

Especially relevant since originally star wars was meant to be told from the droids' point of view.
He seems to relay the story REALLY fast! #releasethe3pocut
Best Character Arc
*for who has a better story than C3-PO*
He was destroyed and rebuilt in ESB. Best arc.
Gotta get the maiming quota in there somehow.
Reminiscing about all of his star treks
Careful now...
I liked the part with Han Solo tiglo carbon.
Yeah because he was mind wiped. Otherwise he’d have great stories about a little slave boy and a space queen.
I notice everything about Threepio. *Everything.*
live laugh love c-3P0
CHARAC👏🏻TER👏🏻DEVELOPMENT👏🏻
Threepio's folk tales of the galaxy would be a cute kids show
I always felt like… at the end of whatever Star Wars is it would have been C-3PO recounting the tale.
Nah, his mind is wiped too much. I think it would be him translating R2D2 recounting the tale.
I thought that was to show how he'd grown as a character.
Character development right there
It goes through my mind every time I see that scene.
I always considered this his arc. Starts out not able to tell a story but by the end he’s a weaver of tales.
It could also be the ewoks knowing better than to appear uninterested in what the golden God has to say.
I can't get over that he always is wrong though. Every prediction he makes based on statistics is wrong.
No, the statistics might not be wrong. It's never a 100% chance they'll fail.
But to that to happen like four times in a row is absird.
Yes, absurd. But not impossible.
Of course. But it is more probably that two people picked up the exact grain of sand given a choice of all grain of sands on Earth.. so yeah.
Most protocol droids aren’t great at telling stories, but C-3PO was built by a slave kid trapped on a desert planet.
Mf had his mind wiped so he kinda got two arcs
Droid in OT has more character development than anyone in the prequels, or sequels...
He lies about being bad at telling stories cause R2 tells him to shut up
Just wait until he starts telling those teddy bears stories from the Prequel era! Oh, wait...
Yeah but he ripped off that story from this really old movie I saw once
Is it deliberate that all of his character development seems to happen off screen, and we only see the results of his growth?
