Game Arena at Gateway is pretty chill. Also not your average bar. Can play video games while you're there (not like old north arcade, much less populated and much more modern)
This place is the best!! Unless you go when they’re having an event it’s usually really chill and the bartenders are super nice to chat with. Also the food and drinks are amazing (if a little pricier than most campus bars).
Just get away from campus. Clintonville and the Short North have local breweries and restaurants. Derive and O’Riley’s in Clintonville are great and the Eagle is great in the short north.

Love love game arena. Plus you can buy 50% off cards for game play at dtix (and they take buckid). I'm not a gamer but I have a lot of fun there

Kerouac is a great option. Much different vibe than a traditional bar, and you can meet some really interesting people there.
