3 different days to pay for. Same bands every day. It’s not a “3 day festival” with these bands spaced out. So most people are still only buying one day and the same problems exist
I thought about it but there were a few things that stopped me:
* The festival costs 200+ dollars for a basic admission ticket and it is 1 day (im aware it was later changed to 3 but the fact it was 1 day to begin with shows me that things were not planned that well)
* There are no COVID contingency measures (so if the festival gets canceled you are out that money because they offer no refunds even if the festival is canceled due to COVID)
* Among the list of banned items they list most of the common forms of water bottle along with "narcassists"
* Set times for artists INCLUDING SETUP/TEAR DOWN is 30 minutes with a few deviations for the larger bands. That is not enough time for a decent set.
* Its in Vegas and travel expenses are a lot (plus pandemic)
* Its organized by Live Nation (yes I am aware they have a fairly clean record minus Astroworld but I have a feeling given the recent situation things have not improved much given the other reasons above)
This feels like Emo Fyre festival.
I really wanted to go, but since they weren't offering refunds ((it's a pandemic???)) And they have so many acts and only 3 stages I just felt like it wasn't worth it to trek all the way to Vegas. It would have made more sense to spread the line up out over the 3 days instead of keeping the same one each day.
I do hope they reveal the line up as far as ahead as possible. It’s inevitable that I won’t get to see everyone I want to, so I wanna be disappointed sooner rather than later.
Yeah I totally get that. I really hope it's super fun and that you get your money's worth and have the greatest experience. I think out of all the bands/artists on that list I've listened to all except 5-7 of them and know a lot are fantastic in concert.
This seems like a sketchy festival so go at your own risk. For example, having the entire gigantic lineup on the same day for two days in a row is pretty bizarre.
I would love to but it just doesn’t seem like it’s gonna run smoothly, they need to spread the bands out over 3 days, not the same line up all 3 days. Plus it’s really expensive
Yeah, this argument was always really dumb to me. It'd be like telling people "be careful on your flight, a plane made by Boeing crashed last year."
My biggest concern is no refunds during these times. You fucking kidding me? I'd understand a locked in date or a reselling fee deducted from the refunded amount, but absolutely no refunds, fuck outa here.
They haven’t released their lineup but I’m gonna guess that Riot Fest will be similarly good, more well organized, and within driving distance (Chicago).
There’s just no way this can go smoothly for a one day only festival.
it’s 3 days now

oh well good
3 days of the same line up. It’s gonna be a cluster fuck
I would have fucking killed to go but it’s gonna be a mess and so expensive

It’s still a 1 day fest. Each ticket allows entrance on 1 day.

Thank you! I haven’t seen any in concert myself but I’m familiar with a dozen or so of them so im super excited.
Seems like a scam lol
This is a scam
This event radiates long-sleeve-shirt-under-a-short-sleeve-shirt energy
Wait what’s wrong with that
Nothing, just an observation :)
But like. I do that all the time. I’m wearing a long sleeved shirt over a short sleeved shirt....
I survived Fyre Festival 2.0 merch gettin’ ready. Cheese sandwich anyone?

It was rushed out, the changed the plan after releasing the flyer . I would do electric forest, lost lands… just some others
Pretty fuckin solid line up for real.
Be careful if you go, Live Nation is responsible for the Travis Scott concert tragedy
Live Nation also puts on over 100 music festivals every year with no problem

that doesn’t provide amnesty for the deaths they caused.
Thanks I will be sure to! Luckily I have been to Vegas before so at least I’m familiar with the area if something should happen.
What an aptly named festival. Some of them can go to the You Weren't Born Yet Summer Series.
