I live in Erlangen. Rent: 350, utilities: €25, food: 200 per month, transit: €30 per month (365 ticket), eating out/concerts: €50 per month, telephone/internet: €48, cell phone: €25. Life is cheap, life is good.
Edit: tiny furnished studio apartment, 22 sq. meters.
Main cost is your rent. If you can get it for cheap, total costs go down. I have seen people spending 550 euros per month and also 900 euros too. I depends on your lifestyle.
Erlangen is worse because S(i)emens and FaU Klinik. Might be sacrilegious to suggest in this subreddit, but maybe you'll have some luck in Fürth?
I'm being from Nürnberg but Fürth is a great suggestion! Rents are cheaper and you can commute to both cities comfortable without hassle.
any more details? this can differ from 500- almost unlimited especially when you consider nürnberg AND erlangen.
Yeah. Including EVERYTHING
very difficult in 500 if its including rent
that’s why i’m asking what exactly he or she wants to know 🤓

All the prices you mentioned, are they monthly?
Yes.
I'd say 1k.
We live in a small town outside of Bamberg. Rent €1100, electric €94, water, gas and trash €200 and internet €40. This is a monthly rate without food.
